Summary: A Fine Addition To The Star Wars Family
Review: I think one of the various reasons some people were disappointed with George Lucas's second prequal "Attack Of The Clones" was that they were still moping over "The Phantom Menace", which many consider to be a huge letdown and disappointment when compared to the original trilogy. I'll admit, the dialogue in this movie makes me cringe when I hear it but COME ON PEOPLE! WHO GOES TO A STAR WARS MOVIE FOR DIALOGUE?!?!?! I'd like to see the people who give the one star write a better script than the one for AOTC. If you want good dialogue, go see some Hollywood Oscar-crap movie. Anyways, I won't bore you with a summary (you know what the movie is about) and instead give you my thoughts on the movie. Despite most people and Star Wars fans, I actually really liked "The Phantom Menace", probably cuz I was in sixth grade when I saw it for the first time. And yes, I'll admit it, I thought Jar Jar Binks was not annoying and funny. But now that I look back on it, Jar Jar isa verrry annoying! But this is not a Phantom Menace review...I think the CG is absolutely amazing, even if it is overkill at times. I love the sound those things Jango Fett fires at Obi-Wan the first time (how they go first go silent...AWESOME!!!!), the Kamino scenes are my fav, and the Count Dooku-Yoda fight is def now a famous Star Wars scene. So ignore the bad reviews and go judge the movie yourself...it's great so go buy it. And on one last note, I thought "Spider-Man" sucked.

Summary: WOW
Review: How can the critics say NO to this film? This was the 5th installment in the star wars saga, and I thought it was incredible. Not only was it visually brilliant, but the Battle of Geonosis, Fight between Yoda and Count Dooku, and the Star Wars locales and everything was spectacular. Sure the character interactions weren't as strong as they could have been, but its impossible to measure up to the original movies. All in all, Star Wars episode two delivers an eye opening experience, and is a great addition to the Star Wars legend and your DVD collection.

Summary: Attack of the bad reviews
Review: I am so sick an tired at the attitude of all of the Film-school dropouts or whatever blatantly insulting this movie. I've read the 100's of bad reviews. Wow, amazing. If you don't like it, why don't you go out and film your own. Geez. It's not a pefect film, and it's not supposed to be one, neither is it supposed to be Gone with the wind. Another thing. I seriously doubt that some of you actually fast forwarded to the good stuff. You watched it, you liked it, but still you felt like bashing it because it's not episode 4, 5, or 6. In 20 years, you'll be thankful for these first three.

Any movie is flawed.

Summary: Star wars lovers will love it
Review: Luxembugh ratings are impressed with the new star wars movie. All the old characters of episode one return including Jar Jar,Anakin,Obi Wan,Padme,Watto, and even Anakins mother who dies one minute later. What's new in this movie is that you actually get to see Yoda do what people always talk about him doing, FIGHTING! If you loved episode one you'll love episode two. The Fett family takes a part in this too with the evil Jengo Fett and his devious and classic son Boba Fett. Also there isn't as much of a political format as a violent one as in episode one though it hasn't dispersed. I gave it five stars because of the creative special effects in the movie. The fights were planned right and ewere amusinng. Luxembugh ratings (for the third time) reccomends this movie to a star wars fan who loved episode one.

Summary: Better than the Phantom Menace...
Review: To put this review in perspective, I should say that I bought this DVD strictly in an attempt to test the potential of my new entertainment system setup. Upon arriving at the final battle scene, my shameless goal was happily realized. However, the mundane tripe that I had to wade through before hand almost made the journey an unbearable one. While almost always pleasing to the senses, the movie had absolutely no substance... especially to justify a revisitation. Therefore, rent the DVD. However, be sure to enjoy and marvel at the efforts (documented nicely in the special features) the amazing talents at the ILM (arguably the only ones in this production) had put towards this film.

Summary: Yoda da man
Review: Just seeing Yoda fight is enough to buy this movie. I can't believe some people like Lord of the Rings more. Luckly this movie is is 142 minutes of pure fun. The story is dark and well put together. It involves a group of systems separating from the republic. They are lead by Count Dooku a former Jedi who turned evil. It also deals with Anikan and Padmes relationship. Natalie Portman is very hot. Hotter then she was in The Phantom Menace. Beauty of amazing sort. The effects are top notch one of if not the most advanced movie ever made. The action is the best in any movie ever. It has the best speeder chase in the series in the beginning. The action really kicks when the Clone Wars start. The end battle is big and full of so much excited. I don't see how you can not like this movie. It is so magnificant. Greatest movie ever. A masterpiece.

Summary: Amazing quality
Review: The quality of this DVD is the best I have ever seen. To add to the visual experience, it provides you with tools to help you set your television for optimal performance. (brightness/color/tint/contrast...) The movie itself is one of my all time favorites and the DVD definitely lives up to the standards one might expect.

Summary: Attack of the Clones - Addressing the Bad Reviews
Review: I have already written a review of Attack of the Clones, but I have to post a second upon seeing the film's rating drop to 3½ stars. This wouldn't bother me if the reviews criticizing it were at least fair. But no, 99% of the bad 1-star reviews are from long-time Star Wars fans that hate the prequels period. Each bad review seems to be a carbon copy of the last; 'It was boring,' 'It had horrible dialogue,' 'the acting was terrible.' These statements wouldn't aggravate so if they weren't completely corrupted by basis Star Wars fans that wouldn't be happy with anything but the Originals. These are the same people who complain endlessly about the special editions of the original trilogy (Sadly, I don't have the time right now to go into the long, and sorted story of why these fans complain so). I'm sorry if this sounds too much like bashing, but I just want to stress to anyone who hasn't seen any Star Wars yet: Don't pay attention to the reviews. Episode I could have been the best film ever made, and it would've still gotten 1-star reviews from a thousand disgruntled Star Wars fans. So please just watch the movie and judge for your self whether you like it or not, because you will never get a far assessment of it from a bunch of people who will accept nothing sort of the originals, and the feeling they got from seeing them for the first time when they were five. I would hate to think the Star Wars universe would loose fans just because a small percentage of their existing fans set their expectations too high.

Summary: Overbloated
Review: To say I am disapointed is an understatement. From the Boston Globe: "George Lucas should watch The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and hang his head in shame."
Enough said.

Summary: Lavish but Shallow
Review: Ten years after the events of "Phantom Menace" Anakin Skywalker is Obi-Wan Kenobi's apprentice, and Padme Amidala has moved from being Queen to being a senator. Count Dooku is working for the Sith to build an army of clones that will topple the Republic, although the clone-makers think they're working for the Jedi. Anakin is falling in love with Padme, and feels that Obi-Wan is limiting him too much.

The fight scenes are spectacular, especially Yoda versus Dooku and the amassed Jedi in the coliseum. The digital scenery is also wonderful. Unfortunately, the acting is weak and the story lacks credibility (even within that galaxy, no matter how far away). Every time Hayden Christiansen starts showing some real acting ability, he reverts to a two-year-old and throws a tantrum. Natalie Portman is okay, but lacks credibility as she watches Anakin throw his tantrums but still falls in love with him. The Jedi stumble around the obvious, and Ewan McGregor seems lost, and cannot be believed as a younger version of the character as portrayed by Alec Guiness. Jar-Jar Binks as a politician? My, how the Republic has fallen! Let it be overthrown.

I'm glad I watched this movie, but I'm equally glad I decided to rent before buying. I will not be buying. I had hoped this film would be better than its predecessor, and it is, but only slightly. They need to get a lot better to avoid film history recalling the second Star Wars trilogy as a failure.
