Summary: Flashy... Spiffy... No plot... Disappointing!
Review: This movie was very good for non-trilogy people, but it STUNK for real Star Wars fans. In the original trilogy (IV,V,VI), Star Wars was the perfect series for devotees. It focused totally on the plot, the mystery of the force, and good actors. Episode I wasn't that bad, but the actors weren't so great and really didn't take the plot any further than their script. Episode II... was.... well...... awful. The love story between Anakin and Amidala was very unrealistic. Hayden Chritansen was absolutely rock-solid. That's not a compliment. He showed absolutely no emotion and when he tried to sound desperate he sounded more like he was about to burst out in tears and go back to find his mom on Tatooine. That's sure like the Anakin in Episode I. Amidala wasn't that bad, but had not lines, and, I have to say, they focused too much on how she looked and not her actual acting. All the fight scenes were just big shows and really were not entertaining. Although the special effects were very good, you, once again, need good acting to make a good action scene. This is very typical of modern movies, but compared to the trilogy and Episode I, this was a step backwards... no a leap off the cliff. I'm sorry, but the Star Wars series is just another set of movies to me, to watch when they come out, but nothing more. I guess I'll go back to waiting for the trilogy DVDs.

Summary: Wonderful Beyond Reason
Review: Combining Williams' musical score with Lucas's fantastic plot and unbelievable special effects make this movie one of a kind. Although Anakin is somewhat annoying, he is SUPPOSE to be like that. Anakin and Padme Amidala are placed in extreme situations where there lives unfold beautifully. This movie is a fabulous piece to have in your collection. Buy 3 or 4, even. =)

Summary: Theatrical experience of Attack of the Clones was better
Review: I have read some really harsh reviews on Attack of the Clones. I don't think it was such a bad movie. I saw it in the theatres
3 times and the movie was much better on the big screen then on DVD. The real positives of the movie, a beautiful score by John Williams, one of his best. An intriguing plot that keeps you guessing. The fight of the Jedi Knights in the arena and best of all, the ending lightsaber duel with the energetic Yoda.

Hayden Christensen is a perfect Anaking Skywalker. He is charming, whiney and down right full of himself (like alot of young people). Natalie Portman is rather wooden as an actress, but great acting and dialogue is not why you watch a Star Wars movie. My main complaints, the look of the movie on DVD is too bright, since most of the movie was CG created, it tends to look like your watching a video game. When the actors are shot in front of a blue screen and composited on a miniture set the background looks too unnatural. Was it necessary for Anakin to ride an ugly CG tick/armadillo creature? Was it to show off to Padme, or was ILM trying to impress the audience with yet another CG creature. It would have been far more effective, if he had done tricks on a nice horse. They have horses on Naboo don't they?

The CG Yoda moves better than a puppet, but the face lacks the depth and texture as in the previous movies. I feel the abundance of the CG effects took over the movie. Like an artist, Lucas tends to put too much paint on his canvas. The simplicity of the original Star Wars will never be outdone. You can't fault Lucas though, he gave his audience everything he had and it was enjoyable and much better then episode 1. In the next movie though I hope Lucas narrows the Star Wars universe and focuses more closely on his live action characters instead of the ones made of pixels.

Summary: Not bad, Not Spectacular
Review: I've had mixed feelings over this film. I am a Star Wars fan, perhaps not as much as others, but I definitely enjoy the series. Though I found many elements of this film tragic in their low level of quality (i.e. the dialogue and certain characters) it still resounded of the wonderful ideas that drove episodes 4-6. Visually, it was incredible. I thought the acting was actually good, but the dialogue stank of saturday morning cartoons. Hayden was as good as possible with what little he had to work with and the same goes for Natalie. A decent sci-fi flick for fans of sci-fi in general. I'd rent this first, and buy it if you love the visuals, otherwise, don't expect too much, he did, after all, write it with the help of his kids. Grow up George, your fans did.

Summary: IT WAS GOOD BUT WAS NOT STAR WARS STANDARD
Review: this movie was fairly decent but compared to the others it had a lot of work to do. Natalie Portman did a great job as padme and so did Ewan McGregor but Hayden Christensen did horrible(even though he has the looks he didnt seem to have the talent in this one) but still I look foward to the finale and i will be sad to see the series go for good. But attack of the clones still had amazing graphics and had a decent love story on the side but in the finale im looking for a boom.

Summary: --ouch--
Review: What a disappointment. The original trilogy (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, The Return of the Jedi) was so fantastic, so groundbreaking and completely unforgettable. They followed the hero's journey with young Luke Skywalker, and were packed with phenomenally exciting action and completely unexpected scenes. So said, Episode II (and Episode I for that matter) are horrendously disappointing. Overstuffed with show-offy special effects and severely lacking in plot/character development, this film is a serious regression from the originals. If you're looking for the soul-stirring content of the original trilogy, don't get this film....

Summary: Attack On Attack Of The Clones
Review: Many people seem ready to attack "Star Wars Episode II Attack Of The Clones" along with "Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace" for not being like the original Star Wars trilogy. Ok so fine, they aren't the same. Does not mean they aren't great in their own right. When I first saw the original Star Wars trilogy I didn't think they were that great either. However they grew on me. And sometimes when things grow on you, you learn to really like them. And after that you unwittingly may put them on a pedastal and think they are greater than what they really are.

Hopefully in years time, people will realize the monumental task that took place with "Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones", and appreciate the effort that was put in. I personally think the movie is a little long winded, however I have come to expect this with a movie this epic. And the big ending featuring several battles is definitely edge of your seat stuff. So sit back and enjoy this movie. And then enjoy all there is know about the movie on a very packed DVD set.
