Summary: A thrill for fans of the classic underdog vs unbeatable bout
Review: In Rocky, Sylvester Stallone plays a street bum who fights in clubs and gets $40 a victory, while the 46-0 heavyweight champ Apollo Creed struggles to get in the ring due to an injury of his challenger. Creed gives Rocky a shot because he knows that only a novice fighter would fight him in the very limited training time. While Creed sits around and drinks coffee, Rocky trains hard by pounding raw meat. I won't spoil the fight scene. Rocky II has our hero out of a job due to his lack of reading skills for commercials. He realizes that he must get money by fighting a rematch with his enraged rival, Creed. Rocky II has one of the series' better fight scenes as Rocky takes on a trained and prepared Apollo. As Rocky downs any challenger to the belt, contender Clubber Lang moves up the ranks in Rocky III. Clubber (played by Mr. T) finally gets his shot at fighting Rocky and downs him quickly, and shortly afterward his loyal manager dies of natural causes. Rocky, now trained by Creed, and full of determination, challenges Lang to a rematch. The outrageous but fun fourth installment pits an East-West battle when a huge Russian smashes the life out of Apollo Creed (literally). Rocky then travels to Russia and confronts the Goliath in hostile territory. The last one should have never been made. Rocky trains an anxious fighter who turns on him and they engage in an out of the ring battle. Here are the ratings:

Rocky: 95; Rocky II: 83; Rocky III: 90; Rocky IV: 88; Rocky IV: 70

Summary: They should've stopped at IV
Review: I myself, having seen all five Rocky movies think that one, three, and four are must sees. Two is has been forgotten because of its lack of major difference to the first, which is by far the best. Five was more depressing than Mickey and Apollo dying combined due to the riches to rags Pauly bumbling. the Don King spoof was a little out of line too,

Summary: Hey Yo Adrian!
Review: I love the Rocky movies. From the first to the last. Each one had something different. Yeah, it's true that the 2nd one has a lot of the first one. We see Rocky being managed by Micky, the running up the steps, the one arm puhsups and so on, but thre were some differences. Like Rocky initially wanting to bow out of the boxing business and trying to find work. The bout Adrian had and almost died. Adrian begging Rocky not to fight ever again but then changes her mind and says "Do it!" And of course this time Rocky wins.

Rocky 3 introduces Hulk Hogan and Mr. T to the world. We see Rocky lose to Clubber Lang (Mr. T) and then thanks to Apollo, he comes back to club Clubber Lang.

Rocky 4 is inspiring as we see the East vs West, the natural American vs the drug-steriod taking Russian. We lose Apollo Creed and in the end Rocky wins again.

Rocky 5 was a little disappointing at first. We see a riches to rags story as his financial man mismanages his money investing in real estate just as the real estate market goes flat and Rocky loses it all--his entire net worth. We see a Don King sort of promoter and in the end we see Rocky beat the crap out of his cocky understudy who turns his back on Rocky.

All five movies were great and worth watching, again and again. The musical score was great and still uplifting. The timing of this movie was perfect just as we were in the middle of a democrat-staged recession orchestrated by Pres. Carter and the Rocky I movie gave Americans at least a little something to feel good about.

Summary: 'Yo Adrian!
Review: I LOVE THE ROCKY MOVIES!!! my god my god my god. they are totally awesome. the first is amazing because it details the beginning of Rocky Balboa's(Stallone) career & relationship w/Adrian(Talia Shire)..that fight against Apollo is one of the best boxing matches & is widely recognized. Follow your love for this movie onto Rocky II where Apollo Creed has a rematch w/the hero Rocky. in Rocky III, Mr. T fights Rocky.. Rocky & Apollo are best friends now & Rocky is really rising(hits the big bucks) meanwhile Adrian & he are still together. she's a very loyal wife. in part IV, Rocky heads off to Russia to fight Ivan Drago(Dolph Lundgren)..this is another gr8 fight..totally & completely nail-biting. & in Rocky V, well Rocky's had many downs in his life/career right now.. audiences find Rocky managing an ambitious youngster & having father-son issues..i suppose what makes these movies one of my faves & one of those well-loved movies is: it demonstrates how a common guy can have a dream, fulfill it, rise up in his career & life, then suddenly fall because of a stupid mistake..the important thing is to realize who is w/him throughout all this time. Rocky's a very courageous, down-to-earth type character. combined w/gr8 fighting sequences & renowned music themes, the ROCKY movies are immediate take-home Blockbuster material. Why are you wasting time reading this?? Buy the movies!!! the DVD is gr8! complete w/awesome features. well hope ya like it!

Summary: Awsome Series
Review: I luv all 5 Rocky movies. It was by far one of the best series I have ever seen; along with all Star Track, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings!!! I just finished watching them all this 4th of July weekend when and most of them I watched twice!!! It was an all day Rocky Fest on AMC. I watched them with my girls and they loved it just as much as I did. The movies had a moral to every storyline althrough sometimes repeating itself...It was still good. It was just like I saw it for the first time. I luved it!!

Summary: The American Movie
Review: The Magic that was Rocky, it lives again in a boxed set! I'm watching them with my kids, who've never seen them. Each time I see the training "Gonna Fly Now" segment, I get cold chills and I find myself bobbing up and down with Rock's one hand push-ups...and when he runs the steps victorious, I stand and jump with him. I cry at the end when I hear ADRIAN!

Rocky II does not disappoint, though it doesn't approach III. Rocky's "Eye of The Tiger" when he gets the spark back to defeat Clubber Lang is pure genius. Of course Rocky becomes the larger than life symbol of America in IV, and it's back to the streets in V. I'm looking forward to VI!

Never has their been a more inspirational, motivational, feel good movie. Rocky may well be THE AMERICAN MOVIE.

Did I mention that I love it? The boxed set is the way to go folks. This movie dynasty is an national treasure! I'll watch it with my grandchildren one day.

Summary: The Rocky Anthology
Review: These five films are great. Stallone portrayed this character well, and these films, no matter which one you watch, will keep you entertained. The "Rocky Anthology" box set has the films remastered in HIGH DEFINITION, meaning that you get the clearest picture POSSIBLE. If you've never seen these films, do yourself a favor and buy this boxset. If you have seen these films, and don't own them, do yourself a favor and buy this boxset. If you're looking for some entertainment, do yourself a favor and buy this boxset.

I give this boxset my highest recommendation.

Summary: NO BONUS FEATURES
Review: Fans heed warning: If you're anything like me, you may have asked yourself, "Since this is an updated box set from the LAST box set, what are the new features?" Answer: NONE. No trailers, no deleted scenes, no outtakes, no featturets -- NOTHING. Only get this if you have a HD TV. If you're looking for ANYthing else, get the old box set. The old one was LOADED on the first film (though only had trailers on the rest). The only thing you get here are subtitles. I can't believe I sold my old set in anticipation for this thing. MGM stinks.

Summary: Who Doesn't Like ROCKY??!!!!
Review: Ever since my first viewing of Rocky on TCM, I've been hooked!

ROCKY-This was the 2nd best of the series.....a real look into his life at the beginning of it all.

ROCKY II-This was the 3rd best....Apollo and Rocky go at it again and this time Rocky shows him who's boss! Good parts with Adrian, Paulie and Mickey, too.

ROCKY III-This was 4th....I'm not a big fan of Mr. T.....and it was a bit much.

ROCKY IV-The best of the five....this one really was a great movie, including the music, the scene where he's driving as "No Easy Way Out" is playing, and when he and Paulie get off the plane in Russia....this movie made Survivor's career with 2 big songs. Love this one!!!!!

ROCKY V-This was 5th......i didnt like Tommy Gunn in the least and Rocky was getting burned out.

Can't wait to see number VI!!!!!

Summary: WARNING (Rocky 4) --subtitles?????
Review: I want everyone who reads this to know that I do very much like these movies. BUT, I have come across something in the fourth Rocky movie that has me upset.
Durring the final fight the Russian characters speak in there native language. In the original movies (VHS), the subtitles let you know what is being said. For this dvd release, the subtitles have been forgoten. It wouldn't be so bad, but it is a GREAT part in the movie!
I have been trying for quite some time now to get ahold of MGM about this and have not gotten anywhere yet. I urge everyone who reads this to contact them and see if we can get something done about this. Thanks.
