Review: The second act in the Star Wars saga are the most incredible, awe-inspiring movies ever produced. They forever changed the way movies are made and forever changed our expectations of movies. One cannot truly appreciate the power of the medium until one has experienced the utter grandeur that is Star Wars. When creator George Lucas (may he live a thousand years) dies, George Lucas Day will have to become a national holiday. Much of the beauty of Star Wars stems from the fact that despite the superb characterizations, exotic locales, dazzling visual effects, and myriad mysterious creatures, the films never expect us to marvel at their ingenuity. The wonders that flash before our senses are simply taken for granted within the context of the story and we realize intuitively that this is a real place; these people actually live here in a galaxy far, far away and for them there is nothing otherworldly about their lives. The films are driven entirely by their plot. As the great George Lucas so succinctly put it, "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing." The Star Wars saga will go down in history as the crowning achievement of motion pictures. It is a generational epic of truly galactic proportions that has shown us what film can be. For 15 years and counting, I eagerly await the remaining 6 episodes of this monumental masterpiece. Thank you, George, for everything.

Review: Well, I want to say that this is the only saga that always added something more to the new episodes. The promises for the future releases are great so I expect to see something even more amazing, but in the meantime, buy this special edition. It's really a great improvement, especially if you have a good Home Theatre system...and may the force be with you..always

Review: In addition to the excellent reworking of the original films by Lucas and Industrial Light, the videos each begin with some background interviews and inside looks at the special effect changes; what they wanted to do and how they did it. The copies are superb in color, detail and sound. A must have for Star Wars and Lucas fans.

Review: From the moment I first saw Star Wars (Around 5 years old) I was hooked. I used to rent one of the three every single weekend and watch it over and over. And I'm still not sick of it. These movie's directed by one of the greatest directors of all time, George Lucas, are filled with explosive special effects, and an extremely thought out, thorough plot. These movies are so good they are almost hard to talk about in words. I am a huge movie buff I own about 60 movies, including the 3 Original Star Wars movies, the 3 THX enhanced movies, and this new Special Edition. Out of every movie I've ever watched these 3 were my favorite. You'll never regret buying these movies. END
