Rating: Summary: Second Season: What a weird trip Review: The second season on DVD. Yeah! The season starts with Vaughn missing and presumed dead, Will trying to adjust to his new life in the know, and Sydney tied to a chair seeing her presumed dead mother, who is "The Man". In the middle of the season, Vaughn and Sydney finally kiss, Will has a job with the CIA, and Francie is killed by an evil twin. At the end of the season, Sydney has been missing for two years, Vaughn has married someone else, Will has been stabbed by Francie, and evil Francie-clone is dead...by Sydney's hands. And we still don't know what that dang Prophecy is about. Just wait till next season. It's gonna be good.
Rating: Summary: Buy it! You need it! :) Review: Well, the DVD hasn't been released yet so I don't own it, but I did watch the whole second season of ALIAS on TV. If you don't already know, ALIAS is the coolest, most intriguing, hilarious and exhilirating show on TV today! If you haven't seen it--or if you missed something (and trust me, I'm sure you did!)--buy these CDs and have a fabulous time! With romance, action, drama, humor, mystery and suspense, there is truly something in this show for everyone! (And with stars like Jennifer Garner, Michael Vartan and Victor Garber, even the eye candy is worth the price of the DVDs!)
Rating: Summary: A Great DVD Set to Add to Your Collection! Review: Alias' second season showed what great t.v. is all about! It captured the audience's emotions and excitements with great episodes such as "Phase One", the superbowl episode, and "The Telling", the season finale. Luckily, it will be around for a third season, and hopefully many more. This will be a must-have to add to your collection, and it will be a great Christmas gift! If you like action, drama, some romance, and a little bit of comedy to break the tension, this is the DVD for you!
Rating: Summary: Still the best !!!! Review: The second season of Alias still hooked me with the plot, the very well written stories and the wonderful characters. Jen, Michael, Victor, Lena, Ron and the rest of the cast were great. There are no words to describe how I love this show!!!
Rating: Summary: Quite simply the best! Review: This show is quite simply the best that Tv has to offer currently. You can't help, but get involved in the story and characters. The casting is brilliant and Jennifer Garner is incredible as the heroine Sydney Bristow. This is a must have for the intellegent TV watcher. Great acting, a great story and a wonderful interwoven storyline that keeps you guessing. GREAT SHOW and a GREAT DVD!
Rating: Summary: Alias is AMAZING Review: I would just have to say that this season is great. I picked up Alias during the second season, which was a bit rough trying to keep up with things that I had no clue about, but it is a great season. It is full of things that keep you thinking through each episode.
Rating: Summary: THE MOST UNDERRATED SHOW ON TV Review: It's a shame that talks are floating around ABC to discontinue this show. If only people knew how action-packed it is. J.J. Abrams is an excellent writer, and writers with such high imagination are getting rarer and rarer nowadays. Jennifer Garner has one of the greatest jobs in the world, she gets to wear great costumes, work on differently designed sets, speak in different accents, and might I add, she works with one of the greatest-looking men in Hollywood? But enough of that, if you haven't seen this show, you must confess your sins, and renew your soul by tuning in to channel 7 (check the times!)
Rating: Summary: Season 2 is better than the first Review: Just recently I started watching the current season of Alias. I decided to rent the previous on DVD. I was hooked after watching the pilot. I just finished watching season 2 in 3 days. I'm glad Syd and Vaughn finally got together, however I paid more attention to Sydney's mom, Will, and Sark. I hope we see more of Sark in future episodes. Although I kinda felt bad for Syd... just when she allows herself to fall in love again.... all hell breaks loose. I'm anxious to start watching season 3.
Rating: Summary: This is THE season of Alias... Review: In an everyone-to-zero tie in a survey among my Alias-addicted friends, Season Two is THE season of Alias, and is not to be missed if you loved season one. So, if you're reading this because you saw season one of this excellent series and you can't decide whether to go on, then this review is yet another reason to keep watching, resolution of the season-one-ending cliffhanger notwithstanding!
Why is Alias' Season Two so awesome: the combination of characters and the amazing tension in the plot. Characters and script, script and characters, two elements that come together in perfect harmony.
Sydney Bristow: Actually the least-liked character by about everyone I know, because she is so much of a goody-two-shoes and concerned ad nauseum with political correction, and just so darned rigid, we are all swept away by her anyway, because of her beauty, her moves, her outlandish outfit and hair changes... and because we can imagine being in her place. While everyone else seems cinema-esque, Sydney is the character that makes US part of Alias.
Michael Vaughn: There has to be some romantic tension, so why not wrap it up in the guise of a hot French-American who oozes sexuality and sensuality?
Will and Fran: Oh, the innocent friends! So cute and innocent, and so perfect for creating a balance in the plot that gives us some "down time" as they might say on the series, from so much action and adventure around the globe. Many people don't, but I really like the Will character, since he seems to reflect our growing knowledge of what SD6, the CIA and all the bad guys are up to.
Irina Derevko: She IS season two. The hottest character to traipse through Alias is a powerhouse who has been dearly missed since she departed. Call her the Alexis Carrington Colby of Alias (she is assigned just as many pseudonyms), because she certainly foots the bill, but with a Russian instead of a British touch.
Jack Bristow: Do we like him, do we hate him? It's entertaining the way the writers toy with us and keep changing our opinion on him.
Anyway, why go on, all these characters and others like Sloane and his wife and that whole secondary sub-plot just created a perfect balance that we all hope will return eventually (ahem!) Watch Season Two of Alias, but not without getting the background of Season One first, in this perfect docu-soap-action-drama-spoof.
Rating: Summary: The Ride Continues! Review: Same intense fun, second season!
I think what I enjoy most about this series is not the action packed, nail biting adventures, but the characters! The interplays of the mysterious and complicated Jack Bristow, the evil but somehow likeable Arvin Sloane, the pretty-boy lover Michael Vaughn, the nerdy genius Marshall Flinkman, the steely but kind hearted Marcus Dixon... they all come together in a fantastic melody of fun and adventure that keep you wanting more, and more, and more.
Even some of the side players such as Will Tippin, Irina Derevko, and FBI Assistant Director Kendall turn in stellar performances.
I think what makes this series so much fun is that despite the slightly science-fiction, over-the-edge nature of the show, and despite our knowledge that deep-secret agents who defy death five times a day don't actually exist in real life, we none the less fall in love with each of the characters. We relate, we want to be them, and the story line gives them enough actual life problems that they become real and tangible, and not the paper-thin cut outs so typical of similar shows.
Tons of fun! Watch and enjoy.
