Summary: DiCaprio+Winslet+Sinking Ship= Just Not Enough
Review: I can agree with this movie getting the award for Best Picture. The special effects were outstanding, the box office take was even better and, let's face it, something doesn't get that popular by people just wanting to pay $8 for a small soda and some Junior Mints. But it was...lacking.

If a movie is going to be called "The Best Film of All Time" it has to have all the elements. Let's go down the list, shall we?

1.) ACTORS/ACTRESSES: They have to be able to make you believe that they are who they say they are. Whenever I think of Humprey Bogart I think of him as a gin-joint owner in Casablanca. He's just that good. I couldn't believe that Leonardo DiCaprio was a homeless globetrotter. I just couldn't buy it. Kate Winslet was much more believeable as the Poor Lil' Rich Girl, but an American accent just doesn't suit her.

2.) PLOT: Much like "Apollo 13," this is a difficult movie to make because the audience already knows (or SHOULD know, God help us) what is going to happen. Cameron uses special effects to keep the audience's attentions and, granted, he does this well. Sweeping camera shots of the Titanic on her maiden voyage are incredible, and well worth the price of admission. But, like so many others have said, you have to have more than just a sinking ship. So Cameron pens this story of two star-crossed lovers, etc., etc., ad nauseum. They were cute, but they just didn't have the appeal of Hepburn and Tracy. There was nothing in Rose that would make me believe she would fall for Jack; likewise, there was nothing in Jack that would make me believe he'd fall for Rose. There was no spark. No lightning bolts. No magic. Just an iceberg, and that just isn't enough.

3.) SCRIPT: "Jack!" "Rose!" "Jack!" "Rose!" "Jack!" "Rose!" I should be a screenwriter.

So, while I was impressed with the movie as a whole, I wasn't bowled over by it. There were to many "buts"--it has great special effects, BUT the script was pretty bad. The main characters were pretty eye-candy, BUT they didn't draw me in. Better luck next time...I have to be going, "Rear Window" is on and I wouldn't want to miss a REAL classic.

Summary: Summary: Poor movie, Poor acting, Poor Dialog
Review: Anachronistic. Weak Dialog. Poor Acting. Offensive. Disgusting. Glad I didn't buy it. Wouldn't ever recommend it.

Once again the industry shows us that the Oscar is worthless, hype not art!

Summary: Top notch movie
Review: Excellent movie with great special effects. The love story woven in made it even more interesting (you already new what would happen to the ship). If anyone did not just set back and enjoy the movie, I quess you could say, "They missed the boat".

Summary: The Gone With The Wind of Our Century , but that is it!
Review: I'm always hearing people say how great the movie was for the past year. It is a great movie, but it is definitely over rated. I've seen better movies! I'm glad I waited till it was out on video instead of everyone I know persuading me into watching it. I had watched it on video the first time, but when I finished it I was saying this is the greatest movie of the century. I thought the first two hours were boring and the last hour was what really got me into watching the movie. To tell you the truth, I'm not the kind of person who can sit at a theatre and watch a 3 hour movie. It was one of the best movies, but not the best, like everyone has been saying to me.

Summary: THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING!
Review: I COULD NOT WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE, WHEN I FINALLY DID IT AMAZED ME. THIS MOVIE DESERVED TO MAKE A BILLION DOLLARS. TITANIC HAS IT ALL LOVE, ROMANCE, ADVENTURE, DEATH AND REMEMBRENCE. THIS MOVIE MADE YOU THINK OF THE THING THAT GO WRONG IN LIFE FOR NO APPARANT REASON AND THAT YOU COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED IN REAL-LIFE.

Summary: I've seen it, now I can die
Review: Never before in the history of the world has there been such an overhyped, overblown epic as "Titanic". Why did they have to center the film around a drippy love story about two people who would never be together in the first place? Leo DiCrapio was so wooden as the lead he left splinters. Why did James Cameron pick someone who looks like an anorexic twelve year old? Now this movie is sitting on my shelf and collecting dust. It will be there for a long time, I can assure you.

Summary: Tear jerking
Review: Yes, Leonardo is cute and teenagers flock him, but one can appreciate the story behind all the hoopla. Cameron took a sad story and brought it to life. He surrounded this horrific tragedy with a love story while portraying the demise of the Titanic. Good job!

Summary: Titanic Rocks!!! It IS the best movie of all time!!!
Review: Titanic is the best movie I have ever seen. There are a few drawbacks, however:

Rose spends way too much time running around looking for a key for the handcuffs. Cal Hockley was a total jerk...did he know he was getting married to Rose's mother for money?? Rose's mother was drawn very cliche. ("Of course, we're women. Our choices are never easy.") Molly Brown was too hearty-hearty. Some of the best parts were chopped before the movie was even released. However...

This movie was the most emotional movie I have ever seen. It is the best just to look at. The costumes are fantastic. The hair is great. The visuals are wonderful. The love story and music make you care about what's going on, draw you in to the sinking as if you are there.

It's true that Leonardo DiCaprio's acting isn't quite up to par, but you only notice that if you've seen the movie more than three times.

This is the best movie of all time. One might as well buy it, since everyone else has or will.

Titanic is my favorite movie. It definitely deserved all the Oscar nominations and awards it recieved. James Cameron should be very pleased with himself. Thank you, Mr. Cameron, for giving us all this movie.

Summary: The Best Movie Of The Year
Review: I thought that this movie was phenomanal. I mean my crush for Leo, has basically ended, but still, this is a movie that no matter whom the actors/actresses are it won`t matter. It doesn`t make a difference to see who got to experience the Titanic in modern day or not. It just doesn`t matter. This is a movie that you won`t want to miss out on seeing.

P.S. You will need tissues to watch it, though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: I'll admit that I'm wild about it
Review: So why won't anyone else!!! I think too many people are comepletely wrong seeing the movie as a 1-star movie, most of them saying 'because they don't like the acting', or the way it comes out of charecters mouths, and some even went as far as to say that they don't like it because it puts down the rich, and because the story is supposed to come only from Rose, therefore there shouldn't be any scenes that she's not in, and also that her dialouge consists of mostly "Jack!" Give me a break! Did we really see the same movie?

People say that acting makes a movie, and it does. But honestly, I think that very few people (mostly my age girls) actually believe that it is a bad movie. Most of them probably have a crush on Leo, and don't want to admit it, so they downplay him. (And at the same time, the whole movie)

The other people who really do hate it, well I really can't figure out why. I'll admit that the movie does have a few little technical errors, but most of them are comepletely un-noticible. Please just watch it, and let yourself get emotional, that's what's supposed to happen. Don't sit down in front of the TV prepared to take note of every little technical error. Let your emotions and feeling speak when you rate this movie. Also, please don't rate it badly when it's just because you're afraid of being embarrased if someone finds out about your secret crush on Leo. It's unfair to others, who when they take your word for it, miss out on seeing the greatest movie of all time.

Also, I am an 11 year old girl, so I know what it feels like to be worried that you will be embarrased if your parents find the Leonardo DiCaprio biography, or the poster of him, or the People magizine article about him that you're hiding under your bed, so you write a bad review, and show it to your parents, just to be sure that they get the idea that you REALLY, REALLY, REALLY don't like Leonardo DiCaprio.

So just write an honest reveiw of this movie, if you really hate it, that's okay, but make sure that you're speaking from your heart, and telling nothing but the truth about the way you feel about this movie.
