Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT Review: I must say that the moment I saw the fragile old lady at the bigging I knew I would love it.One of th best movies I have ever seen.
Rating: Summary: One of the Great Masterpieces Review: Titanic is an unbelievable experience, and James Cameron is a phenomenon. From the start to the tearjerker ending (with the most amazing uncut sequence I've ever seen), this movie will not let you go. The acting is very good (Kate Winslet and Billy Zane come to mind), the story is well written, and the effects...well, it's Cameron, what do you expect? Five big stars here. I've read other reviews that pan this movie, but those people probably never saw the movie. Read Roger Ebert's review on the Chicago Sun Times site for a real review from the best in the business. He knows what he is talking about.
Rating: Summary: I think Brad Pitt would have played a much better Jack. Review: The movie was excellent, but again I think Brad Pitt would have played the role of Jack Dawson alot better. Leonardo Decaprio seems to young understand the meaning of love. But, overall the movie was overwhelming and very emotional.
Rating: Summary: What A Wonderful Movie!!!! Review: I absolutely LOVED this movie from the second that I saw that senile old woman at the begginning. From then on I must admit that it has been the most hilarious movie that I have seen in ages and would deffinitly reccomend it to anyone, especially the part when Leonardo dies, it brought tears of joy and lafter to my eyes.A deffinite MUST SEE!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Mediocre Review: "Titanic" wasn't the worst movie, but most would know why it wasn't as good as expected. "Titanic" definately did not earn the name because of a fictional love story set on the doomed luxary liner. Two stars, one for the mandatory purposes and one for the special effects. The title should be renamed to something that sticks to the movie like "Jack and Rose," or "Love in the Atlantic."
Rating: Summary: History according to the movies Review: What disturbs me the most about "Titanic", that in the minds of millions of people, the tragedy of the eponymous ocean liner will be forever replaced with a fictional romantic story of a British girl and a American boy. Did the film make you actually care about 1500 passengers who died in the crash? Very unlikely. We're supposed to mourn the girl's lost lover instead. 1958's "A Night to Remember" offered both the more historically accurate account of the event and a human drama behind it. Along with "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan", "Titanic" is a sad example of how the actual history is being replaced by Hollywood's fictionalized versions of it. Dream factory, indeed.
