Rating: Summary: Incredible SciFi Thriller Review: Mix "Terminator", "Pitch Black", and "Silence of the Lambs" and what have you got? "Hardware". This movie is not only a great SciFi movie, but an excellent thriller as well. Fans of other genres should enjoy this one. It offers a good deal more than a futuristic society on the brink of destruction. The unusual character personalities and the psychotic nature of the machines takes it a notch above many movies it is sometimes compared to. The camera work and visual effects are excellent. A great soundtrack makes it all the better. I recall when I saw it I thought Iggy Pop's was incredible. The story takes time to evolve but what starts out at a "Mad Max" level rapidly evolves to "Road Warrior" status. I highly recommend it to SciFi fans and non-fans alike.
Rating: Summary: it could have been better. Review: the action was difficult to followdue to director attempting to make scenes very dark and forboding. The sex scenes were pretty rawand kind of took on a life of theirown. The character developement was average with what appeared to be anhonest attempt to get the audience to sympathize with the hero and his girl friend. The special effects were very goodand probably are what helped carrythis movie through some of the justbarely tolerable dialogue.I felt that it was as a whole agood attempt but with alittle better direction could have beena muchbetter film. But still worth watching for fansof sex, violence, and the sci figenre.
Rating: Summary: The Cannery Row of 80s Noir Apocalypse Horror Films Review: The book "Cannery Row" started off sluggishly and slightly incomprehensibly, and you don't feel connected at all when you begin reading it. About midway through, however, you bond with the characters and the tales, and -- more likely than not -- you begin the book over again, immediately after finishing it. This time, you understand everything you're seeing, and you realize how rich a work of narration and style it is. The film "Hardware" is the same way -- a junky start, incomprehensible characters and circumstances -- but then it gets under your skin, you understand the whole picture and, soon as it ends, want to see it again. (And, Stacey is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.)

Rating: Summary: One of the worst movies ever made Review: The whole film is comprised of an "evil robot" which wakes up to find himself part of a piece of artwork with the stars and stripes spray painted on his head for no apparent reason. After plugging himself in to a wall outlet and signaling all his body parts to come reattach themselves to his head he decides, what the hell, I'm not doing anything today, so I might as well horribly mutilate all of the humans in this apartment. I can do this, I must do this because I'm just plain evil.
Rating: Summary: great movie but where is the DVD? Review: This movie is a great cyberpunk movie. Too bad it's not out on DVD!!!
Rating: Summary: Very Moving Review: This one is a tear jerker. I cried because of the money I wasted on the rental and the precious hours lost forever into the abyss of movie-hell. Worst movie I have ever, ever, ever, ever seen.
Rating: Summary: ONLY IF YOU LIKE BEING PUNISHED Review: Train wreck of a movie - with ridiculous intellectual pretensions, woozy scenes of violence and a plot ripped-off from any number of B-movies horror efforts. Spare yourself. This is real low-grade trash, and boring to boot.
Rating: Summary: stacy travis Review: what more do you want? Drooling perverts, A sexy ginger girl who likes dope, power tools and Ministry, complete carnage and a freak out ending. NICE!
