Summary: Very Misunderstood. Haunting- Man VS Nature!
Review: First off, some people hate this movie beause thay are naive and don't understand it's true menaing. Jaws: The Revnge is very different from the previous three. The film focuses on Ellen Brody (wife of Chief brody from the previous Jaws films) and now being a widow she finds the moster of the deep terrorizing her family only. Seeking a distraction in the Bahamas the shark followes her. It may sound far fettched but in a way its supposed to. The devil of the deep stopping at nothing to kill the family its species has terrorized for years is a very scary thought. Here's why this film is good:

1. Lorraine Gally is sensational
2. The Horrific dream sequence is unforgetable
3. Haunting sounds are added to the music score
4. The end is awsome- concluding the fist two films
5. The shark looks bizzare
6. The few attacks are brutal and scary

In conclusion this is a greta film and brings the profound focuse of man (or women) VS nature. See the cover art of the VHS version for a true look at the film.
* June 3 2003- DVD will be reissued with Jaws 3!

Summary: Highly Overlooked. A haunting sequel. Lorraine is amazing!
Review: The film got bad mouthed for years but maybe this re-release DVD will change some people's minds. First off, if your looking for a film with a high body count and sharks ripping people to shreds every five seconds- look somewhere else. Jaws:The Revenge focuses more on the wife (now a widow) of police man Brody (seen in Jaws and Jaws 2) and how she is continusely haunted by the creature of the deep who has terrorized her family. After the shark kills her 20 year old son, she seeks comfort from her oldest son, Michael, and his family in the Bahamas. While feeling constant fear, she demands Micheal quite his sucuba diving job and goes nuts when her granddaughter goes near the water. Her son and his family calm her down and dispite a grizzly nightmare (one of the highlights of the film) she begins to let down and slowly fall in love with a piolt she meets. But it seems that even in the Bahamas the shark that killed her son has come for her and her son's family. After wittnessing a violent shark attack, she decides to take matters into her own hands and using her son's boat- travels into the sea to face the hellish terror of JAWS.
Some parts may sound dumb but thats not the case. The filming and back round music (not completley the dunnh dunnh) add to a chilling environment that will keep you out of the water for quite some time. Experience man kind against nature in JAWS: The Revenge.

Summary: Not the worst
Review: It's campy and even borders on the ridiculous. But at least there are some good shark attacks in this one.

Summary: STOP THE SEQUELS, UNLESS THEY'RE GOOD~
Review: One of my friends saw this Jaws movie, before the original, and it ruined Jaws, and the surprisingly good sequel, Jaws 2.
Here are just a few things wrong with it.
1. People don't reminisce about things they never witnessed.
2. Sharks don't get revenge.
3. Sharks don't stand on their tales to get a quick bite.
4. Sharks don't explode, when stabbed with a sharp bit of boat, and their bodies don't look exactly the same as the orginal Jaws shark.
This film totally ruins the name Jaws. Lorraine Gary reprises her role asa widowed Ellen Brody, who travels to the Bahamas with her son Michael, after her other son is killed by a killer Great WHite Shark. From the beginning you might think this is a good movie but it's [bad.] Totally [bad.] Iit must have been a terrible low-point in Michael Caine's career.
In conclusion, if you're thinking about making another Jaws movie, stop and think about these words, 'sequels get [worse] each time around!

Summary: Not as bad as everyone says
Review: Ok, so maybe Jaws The Revenge isn't cinema at its finest. But, the amount of criticism levied to this film is ridiculous. I am admittedly a huge Jaws fan and have watched the original movie over 40 times. I have seen Jaws The Revenge possibly 25 times. I know that it isn't a classic by any means, but the movie really is good.

First off the acting. It wasn't terrible. Lorraine Gary did a terrific job as the lead. I felt sympathy for her and she does have some ability. Lance Guest as Michael was fantastic also. I am still waiting for him to get his break out role in Hollywood because I think he has potential. Mario Van Peebles brings some Bahamian humor, and it sheds some light onto the movie. And Michael Caine maybe isn't at his finest, but he is decent enough.

The cinematography is just beautiful. It just makes me want to go to the Bahamas every time I watch. The music score is better than the original. It has a sort of mystical, on the edge feel to it. It's too bad Michael Small didn't get any recognition for it, and anyone would be hard pressed to find the soundtrack, even though it's one of the finest ever.

Joseph Sargent does an okay job directing. I admit that it isn't anything special, but it's not trash. A lot of people have problems with the special effects and some of the things the shark does. Yes, the shark looks fake. That's a given when the film has such a low budget and the studio behind the picture isn't totally committed. There is one scene in particular that many have a problem with and that is when the shark is doing a so called stand on the water. It's obvious to me that the scene is in slow motion, and the shark is leaping from the water, which makes it appear to be standing on its fin. There are many aspects of the film also that are very authentic. An example is when the shark is attacking the boat and it's eyes roll back in its head, which is what a real great white would do.

The ending is terrible and totally brings down the film. But once again, I come with my defense. In Michael De Guzman's original script, the ending was much different and rather exciting. As I alluded to earlier, budget constraints kept this film from producing an adequate ending. If you are interested, there are many links on the Net with the original script.

Jaws the Revenge is a movie that I guess you have be a really big Jaws fan to enjoy. I know that it isn't perfect by any means and that it never will be considered to be a good movie by anybody other than the "Jaws Junkies." But, for all the people that like to tear it apart and dissect its every mistake, remember that it's only a movie and not real life. 4 Stars

Summary: first 10 minutes are excellent, then......
Review: it's all downhill.

here is how the first 10 minutes or so, breakdown.
opening scene is great. the shark, in first person view is swimming through the harbor and the jaws theme sounds great. Sean Brody gets a call that a log is stuck in one of the water lightowers, so he goes out, on Christmas eve to check it out. gets to the log, and then BAM! the shark comes out and rips his arm off! he's crying in pain, and the shark again rises out and takes him under. you hear flesh and clothes tearing in this part, and then Sean is seen holding on, with his other arm, on to the log crying for help. then he's taken under, blood comes out, and the log just floats. his boat goes under, and all you hear is the bell from the water light tower.

sounds awsome right? it is! you think, this movie is going to be awsome! then, it slowly goes down hill from there. there are a couple of good shark scenes, one in particular spooks you cause the shark just pops out unexpectedly, but other than that, not real good.

the shark in Jaws the revenge is to mechanical, and in 1 part inparticular, it reaks. the shark comes out of the water and looks like one of the mechanical dinosaurs you see at the musuem.

the other bad thing about Jaws the Revenge is the ending. there are a couple of different endings. one ending scene has the shark being ramed by the boat and blowing up, which is an obvious ripoff from the original Jaws. the second ending is that the shark breaks the boat in the half, and takes the boat under with him. the third ending is that the shark takes the entire boat with him, it doesn't break apart.

other than the exciting begining, the movie also casts some pretty good people including Lance Guest (The Last Starfighter), Mario Van Peebles (Solo), Michael Cane (Miss Congeniality), and Lorraine Gray as she returns as Ellen Brody.

Jaws the Revenge is a pretty good movie, and a must have for you Jaws collection.

Summary: And this time... its horrible
Review: Wow. This movie is so insanely stupid that I dont know where to start. Lets take an incredibly great movie classic and destroy it with idiotic sequels. 1.Sharks cannot roar. 2.Sharks cannot stand on their tails. 3. When sharks are impaled with large sticks they do not automatically explode. 4.Mama Brody cannot reminice about things she didnt witness. 5.Sharks cannot follow people vast distances. 6.Sharks do not enjoy swimming in warm bahaman waters. 7.Michael Caine shouldnt be in this movie. 8.Sharks do not have feelings. I could really go on forever there. Do not buy or even rent this piece of cinematic garbage

Summary: Makes Jaws 3 look like a masterpiece!
Review: The original JAWS is one of the best films ever made! JAWS 4 has to be one of the worst films ever made! I liked JAWS 2, and I'm probably one of the few people that thought JAWS 3 was half-way entertaining. JAWS 4 is the only movie in the series that I've seen only once (when it came out in the theatres). The special effects were bad, and the story was even worse. No wonder people were running out of the water! It was to get away from this movie!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: DUD.
Review: Don't waste your money on this boring sequel. It's stupid. There's nothing good about this movie. Avoid it.
