Summary: Made of DVD!
Review: The DVD version of this movie makes viewing this film even more enjoyable then it has been in the past. The audio and video clarity make this film one of the best on DVD. The witty and sometimes humorous dialogue is an added bonus to this suspenseful action film. Another bonus to this film is that we can see Minnesota's favored son - in one of his biggest roles in Hollywood. But it is Arnold who shines throughout this film as he hunts (or is he hunted?) for the Predator.

Review: This is mt all-time favorite movie. The action never stops, and the ending is perfection. The best musical score I've seen in a movie. My favorite character has to be Blain, with his memorable quotes, and his minigun gun!

Summary: Action packed, edge of your seat movie
Review: For sure a guys's movie, chocked full of mindless violence. An intriguing story line: what if mankind was not the masters of the universe?

Arnold, Bill Duke, Jesse The Body, Sonny Landham and Carl Weathers were reportedly up early every day trying to outdo each other on the big screen in the macho department, and it shows. Classic macho lines, of course starting with "I ain't got time to bleed" and "If it bleeds, we can kill it". Guns aplenty, with Jesse taking the lead with his hand carried gattling gun. Thousands of bullets shot, dozens of people and one Predator killed.

Less than the full five stars, though, because as my Bride says, it is one of the more visually repulsive movies ever made. Even moreso, the second half of the film (when most of Arnold's team have been killed off, and the fight becomes mano a beast) slows down. Of course, for the Predator to kill itself in the end cheats us humans out of the retribution we all want.

Review: In this gory classic, a group of modern-day marines are sent into South America to rescue hostages. Arnold Schwarenegger, Jesse Ventera, Carl Weathers and many others go up againt the enemy that they never see (At the beginning). After clearing a guerilla base camp, the marines find no hostages, except skinned bodies hangging from the tree. The 'Predator' an etinty from another world has crashed landed. It can see the heat from the human body. It kills for sport and hunts only during the hottest times of the year. One by one the 'Predator' takes the marines, until Arnold S. (Dutch) is left. I wont ruin the ending for you, so go out, buy, rent, watch! [Warning!!] Put the children to sleep for this one, it's a doosey. Another warning is that it isn't for the faint of heart... So please watch this nasty film for the good of your heart. I think...

Review: Predator, this has to be the most compelling science fiction movie I'v ever seen with the exeption of Aliens. The look of the creature it self is completly original. I wouldn't mind having an outfit like that. The movie makis you want to go camping. The sound Track is the best I've ever heard. Better than star wars. It even makes you feel like you are being hunted. Every thing is perfect with this movie.

Review: Arnold Schwarzenegger is very populair in the Netherlands and Predator is a must to see. The movie is explosive from the start untill the end. His one-man battle against an alien is great and there are more than 70 reviews for this movie...what can I say more?

Summary: The classic Sci-fi/Action movie
Review: This is a great movie. The charactors are memorable, especially the predator itself. The music is tense and suspensful, but not overblown 'hero' music, which would've been completely out of place here. The settings, from the military base to the helicopters to the beautiful, lush jungle, are absolutely fantastic. The special effects are very good, still perfectly good today in the age of CGI. The action is excellent, the humor slick, and the gore at just the right level. I recommend this film to anyone who wants to see what is simply an excellent action movie.

Summary: vietnam redux
Review: This can be seen as an allegory of the American experience in Vietnam. Well-intentioned Americans off to do a rescue mission are betrayed by the mission's designers, who change the mission on them and wind up feeding them into a meatgrinder, along with everybody else. The end shows a broken and bewildered Arnold, who at best just survives. The music is what puts the movie over the top; it's simply perfect for the film.

Summary: The best movie of Schwarzenegger's career
Review: Predator is one of those movies that I just can't help watching every now and then when I have some free time. I have probably seen it at least five times already, with many more viewings likely in the future.

Even though this movie has a small cast (about 10 actors...total), each character's personality is developed and the viewer becomes familiar with each of their survival mentalities. The main character is Dutch, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, in what I consider to be his best movie performance in his career. Although he does not say much (does he ever?) and his manner is hardened and strict, he fits the role perfectly. This is especially apparent in the final scene when he must do battle with the Predator, nicely played by Kevin Peter Hall. The other actors in this movie (Weathers, Carrillo, Black, and at the time, future politician Jesse Ventura) all turn in decent performances. The casting was perfect and resulted in good acting.

Two elements that really make this movie great are the soundtrack and the scenery. The haunting music is fantastic and it's unfortunate that only the soundtrack for Predator 2 is available. The scenery of the jungle was aptly chosen and complimented both the story and the actors.

Overall, I cannot find anything wrong with this movie. It is a great sci-fi/thriller film that is guaranteed to be enjoyed by all who see it.
