Rating: Summary: Angel of Destruction Review: By normal standards this film is pretty bad, but judged as an action flick it is one of the best female action 'B' movies available. Martial arts purists may find the kickboxing pedestrian, but Ford's fight scenes are quite well done & far more entertaining than the unbelievable computer enhanced nonsense of "Charlies Angels".It's also nice to see her have the bulk of the action scenes without having to hide behind a male co-star. On the minus side, the acting isn't great and the plot (though not bad considering the genre) is full of inconsistencies. This is probably due to the original star Charlie Spradling's decision to leave the production after refusing to do the topless kickboxing scene & the plot was hastily re-written for Ford to take over star billing. However if you're a fan of movies which combine gunplay, martial arts and copious amounts of sleaze, this movie is much better than any of the numerous Andy Sidaris efforts. It's a pity Maria Ford hasn't been cast in anything similar since.
