Review: i have to say that the motion picture has an interesting plot. Xander Cage (Diesel) goes up against a russian mob that goes by the name of "anarchy 99" and Xander along with Russian CIA Agent Yelena (Asia Argento)have to stop this evil gang of men who want tyranny and chaos in all the world, and who want to destroy Prague Czechoslovakia.
the movie has action, great acting by Vin Diesel Asia Argento Samuel Jackson and other actors. the scenes are very realistic, and one who sees this movie will see the nice city of Prague.
there is nothing cheezy about this film, one has to go see it to enjoy the film and ignore the critics.

Review: One of the most boring experiences that I have ever had at the theatre. The action scenes drug on forever, and the plot was retarted. Vin Diesal doesn't know how to act, and the whole movie was just dumb.SKIP IT. I think I hate action movies now.

Summary: A great new take on a tired old genre.
Review: XXX brings new life to the spy genre. Vin Diesel is perfectly cast as Xander Cage- a man who is unwillingly recruited to the spy game. Diesel is a perfect choice for the role because, although we know that stuntmen were used to perform the over the top stunts of this movie- we believe that in Diesels physical condition he "could" perform them. A clear departure from the James Bond movies where, I for one, find it impossible to believe the actors chosen to portray Bond could engage in extreme physical activity. This movie is FUN! It is not rocket science, it has no "deep" meanings. It is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon (or in my case 3!!) The music complements the action, the story is quickly paced, and VIN DIESEL is HOT! It's great to know that there will be sequels. I will anxiously await each one.

Summary: "xXx" rates nothing but zzz...
Review: "xXx" must rank among the most insultingly stupid scripts of the year, ineptly directed in terms of actor/character direction, and mindnumbingly dumbed down for its presumably intended audience. I almost walked out of "xXx" at least five times but it was just so unfathomably bad that I was glued to the screen out of pure shock. Aside from probably the least-... screen kiss ever, Vin Diesel does little to distinguish himself as an actor in this vehicle. His lines are delivered as though being read off cue cards. The plot is insipid, predictable and, surprisingly, even dated (aside from the notion of biological weapons -- no, wait, that's been done before and better, too). Not a single element in this movie aside from the inclusion of every imaginable "extreme" sport is anything that hasn't already been included in a Bond film. Ironically, the first scene in "xXx" is designed to let the audience know they are NOT watching a Bond movie. It's a tongue-in-cheek (if mean-spirited, like much of the rest of the film) nod at the Bond franchise that suggests this movie is going to go places Bond would never dare. Well, if going somewhere completely lacking in class and wit is where they intended, that is just about the only fresh ground covered. So intent were the producers on out-Bonding Bond that they ended up creating only a pale, inexplicably illogical, dull imitation. If all a viewer wants is to see some cool extreme sports stunts, renting a specialized video ought to be a much more fulfilling experience, especially since the stunts will be real and not riddled with editing gimmicks and digital enhancements.

Summary: A buffed-up 007 without the suavity
Review: The acquisition of polished good manners and social skills is, I suspect, less important in today's culture than it used to be. Therefore, Vince Diesel's Xander Cage action hero will be as big a hit with current, younger, theater audiences as the elegant Bond (JAMES Bond, if you please) was with earlier generations. XXX is the first release in what will certainly be a continuing series of Xander Cage adventures. Hollywood knows a gold mine when it stumbles over it. In this installment, Cage is an anti-social, tattooed Bad Boy hooked on extreme sports stunts, who's cornered into joining a U.S. intelligence agency by Agent Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson). After a suitable period of, um, competency testing, America's newest hero is sent to Prague to gather information about a megalomaniacal anarchist named Yorgi (Marton Csokas). Of course, anybody keeping the world safe for democracy has to have the potential reward of TLC from an appreciative Babe. In XXX, the latter role is supplied by Yelena (Asia Argento), who starts out as Yorgi's hard-edged and edgy moll. Or is she? And it's a long overdue opportunity for American viewers to see something of Prague, a truly beautiful city that's apparently recovering nicely from its gloomy days behind the Iron Curtain. The nifty gadgets and death-defying stunts in XXX are satisfying and spectacular, especially the sequence involving the "fresh powder". However, since it's the rare action film nowadays that doesn't have eye-popping FX, those in this one simply meet what has become the average expectation. What lifts XXX above three stars is Xander's anti-establishment bad attitude. Had he been dressed up in a tux at any point, the total effect would have been lost. Once the novelty of his persona wears off - soon, I think, in my case - his Big Screen feats of derring-do will become so much Mindless Entertainment. Now, don't get me wrong. The periodic Bond flicks are mindless also, but the current actor in the title role, Pierce Brosnan, at least has demonstrated a capability for doing a thinking man's espionage caper, specifically the excellent screen adaptation of John le Carré's THE TAILOR OF PANAMA. Somehow, I don't see Diesel up to anything of such quality in the near future, if indeed ever. Perhaps it's just the sour grapes of an older movie goer, but down deep I'll maintain that Sean Connery's Bond (JAMES Bond, if you please), and perhaps even Brosnan's, could wipe up the floor with Xander Cage. Old age and cunning will trip up youth and inexperience.

Review: Xander "xXx" Cage isn't the next James Bond. And dosen't need to be. Cage is something better. Just the the commercial says, "Goodbye Mr. Bond" because Bond can't even begin to measure up to xXx. Xander takes the spy role to a new level. Most movie spies are the best of the best. They are upstart Ivy leage preps that wear tuxedos all the time. Xander is the oppiste. He's the best of the worst. Instead of using his training (which he has none. The guy's never even shot a gun before the govenment kidnaps him.) to get him out of a situation. Xander uses his insticts, skill, and his talent for extreme sports. Xander is better than Bond ever will has been and ever will be. End of story. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!

Summary: xXxtremely Awful
Review: This could have been a Patrick Swayzee flick made for the USA Network. Vin Diesel does what he can with what little he's got to work with here, but he's a star who deserves a much better vehicle than this. Cheesey as can be, bad, no, HORRIBLE acting and worst of all... very mean spirited. At one point, the villans turn on a group of scientists who've made a toxic nerve gas for them and from behind the safety of a thick, glass wall, use that weapon to kill the scientists and mock their deaths, pretending to choke and gag and plead for help while laughing at the dying victims. It's unbelievably sadistic and violent for a PG-13 movie.
....
On a positive note though, the soundtrack is awesome. Seriously.

Summary: "xXx" the review and why I loved it
Review: Let me first tell ya why I loved this movie. I really enjoy Vin's other movies. I liked him in "The Iron Giant" (HE WAS THE ROBOT!!), "Pitch Black" (supposed to be filming the sequel right now), "The Fast and the Furious" (must I explain?!?) and his dramatic role in "Boiler Room" totally made him an actor to watch. I enjoyed his really sharp witted, sarcastic humor. This is a movie that I will be owning on the day it comes out on DVD (hopefully a 2-disc DVD is in the works with 5.1 EX surround and hours of bonus footage). There's enough action to make any Arnold fan happy, but guess what, VIN IS WAY BETTER! Now for my short review: Xander "xXx" Cage is a daring, extreme athlete who is chosen by the NSA to go to Russia and find out information about some people. But what he finds out is very dangerous. I also loved Asia Argento's (she needs to be in more American movies, she is already a hit in her native Italy) performance in this movie. She added a kinda Lara Croft-type girl presence to the movie. I wish there was a PlayStation 2 game in the works so I could play every single moment of this exciting movie. But for now we have to play a GameBoy Advance game, which I'm sure is okay. This is a great movie none the less. The soundtrack is great (look out for an appearance by Rammstein in the beginning, plus look out for Tony Hawk) check this movie out!

Review: This one has James Bond written all over it. James Bond, Grunge style. Acting takes a backseat to some of the best stunts and special effects I've seen in a very long time.
The story has Vin as Xander Cage. Cage is recruited from humanities' bottom-of-the-barrel by the NSA (National Security Agency) to infiltrate a group of Russian terrorists known as Anarchy 99. Xander has two talents. He is accomplished at x-treme sports and he has no fear of death. Perfect, according to Samuel L. Jackson, NSA's operative controller.
The plot is as predictable as any 007 movies you have ever seen. But who cares! With more explosions, techno-gadgets, cars, motorcycles, and bullets than you can shake your Goldfinger at; XXX is 007 at the edge of the envelope. Recommended. Cammy Diaz A @ L
