Summary: Will good guy Lauren Holly come through?
Review: Handsome Ray Liotta, convicted serial rapist-murderer, may be a good guy after all. That's how it looks at one point, when he saves the lives of some innocent people by killing a bad guy. But that's not where the movie takes us. Ray Liotta turns out to be a sadistic murderer, and it's up to our hero to stop him. Our hero is stewardess Lauren Holly. Guess whether or not she wins. And while you are at it, guess whether or not she lands the plane successfully by herself. The best thing about this movie is that it holds your interest. The worst thing about it is that it is all so obvious and predictable, same old same old.

Summary: Fasten your safety belt!
Review: Here is one of those movies of the "terror at 35,000 feet" variety that is far more entertaining than the plot might indicate. It's good for a wild ride on a Friday night when you have idle time.

The film centers around a prison transport of two violent malefactors. The flight is coast-to-coast and there are barely any passengers. In addition to the 2 criminals are 4 U.S. Marshalls who serve as escorts. Unfortunately for the passengers and crew, the Marshalls turn out to be incompetent while the criminals are far more clever than they look.

What ensues is sheer chaos high above the clouds. To make matters worse, the plane is also going thru a violent thunderstorm (the special effects in this area alone are worth the cost of the DVD).

Ultimately, the biggest reason to watch this film is the cast. The dynamic Ray Liotta plays an enigmatic and ambiguous character that is difficult to place your finger on. The lovely Lauren Holly plays Bambi the flight attendant and the venerable Ben Cross portrays a righteous 747 pilot.

If you like movies such as EXECUTIVE DECISION, AIR FORCE ONE and the AIRPORT disaster movies of the 1970s, give this one a try. It belongs to the same genre and is at least as good as all of them.

Summary: Your typical action movie
Review: I can't say I was too fussed about watching this movie, but I watched this movie, otherwise I would have watched Tru Calling all night! :) As it's a Christmas movie, I was only ALLOWED to watch it before Christmas. Not after, cos that would be bad, right? I decided to watch it on Christmas Eve Eve, but I'm beginning to wish I'd watched it now, as Christmas Eve is really dragging - I'm still a big kid at heart! (I wanna open presents!)

I have to say, after this movie started, I was instantly distracted by Lauren Holly's severe haircut - boy, that did NOT suit her! If I remember correctly, I've only seen her before in Dumb & Dumber, but the haircut was absolutely dreadful! (Apologies to people out there who have this haircut.) Someone who has prominent cheekbones that I would die for, would probably get away with it. She also manages to strip down to her underwear, when she doesn't have much to fill it, and it just a cheap thrill for the guys.

I've never seen Goodfella's, so had absolutely no idea who Ray Liotta was, although he reminded me of a more evil-looking Patrick Swayze! That was also very distracting! He did quite a good job, making you constantly wonder whether he was the good guy or the bad guy. He's also a bit OTT in the role - I'm not sure why, he just wasn't convincing.

I love Hector Elizondo ever since I saw Pretty Woman, and then afterwards, Runaway Bride. He doesn't appear much in this, and almost comes across as the bad guy at points.

Most of the movie isn't worth going into detail about. You mix in every (im)possible event that could happen, and then add the plucky, brave girl (flight attendant, not stewardess!) who thinks she can save the day. Prancing around in your underwear doesn't save the day.

What scared me most about this movie was the very obvious references to the 9/11 tragedy - despite it being made 4-5 years before, it seemed almost like a premonition at some points, and scared the bejeezus out of me. I think if this had been out around the same time as 9/11, it would have been either straight-to-DVD, or, like Spiderman, the World Trade Centre digitally removed. (WTC doesn't appear in this - it's what happens that makes me think of 9/11.)

What I did like about this movie, was Lauren Holly getting told how to land the plane - or attempt to - and seeing what all the buttons were. I felt like I learned a little bit - although I'll probably forget it all. That was the one bit of the movie I really concentrated on, and it actually interested me.

For me, this movie is what Final Destination was like a few years, just before I went on holiday. I won't be getting on a plane anytime soon. It's a stupid movie, but good enough to remove a couple of hours of your life watching it.

Summary: Please rate this movie for what it is....
Review: I've read other viewers comments and I think they are making a big mistake. This movie is obviously not a piece of art. It can not be compared to movies like "Apocalypse Now", "2001 Space Odyssey","Jacob's Ladder","The Last Temptation of Christ" or other movie milestones. In this respect this movie is "stupid". But if you want to unplug yourself and keep your brain at rest for a while, well this movie is entertaining and fulfills this mission. In this respect I STRONGLY recommend people to buy this movie and to watch it several times.

Summary: Is it a comedy or an action movie?
Review: In some parts of this TERRIFIC movie it is funny. Like a dark comedy almost. But in some parts it is genuine action. It is a great movie.

Summary: Scary Movie!
Review: In this movie Ray Liotta plays a psycho serial killer who is being transported cross country by four federal marshalls. He
escapes,in the process killing the four marshalls as well as every passenger on the plane. A flight attendent is the only person left alive on the plane. She is pursued by the psycho serial killer. She finally makes a link with a pilot on the ground
who talks her into sucessfully landing the big jet. She lands after several interruptions from the psycho serial killer. The

serial killer provides a great deal of excitement and action during the movie. The scary action makes the movie worth sitting
through and watching. An entertaining movie.
