Summary: A Good Action Movie!
Review: A very good movie. The karate and combat action in the movie are unrivaled anywhere. Our hero participates in a tournament where the best fighter wins. During this tournament you see some very original and unique fighting styles. Our hero battles through several elimination rounds and finally makes the championship round. In the championship round he fights the reigning champion and the champion is a monster. As far as movie karate matches it is a classic. Our hero Van Damme finally emerges the victor but not after he goes through a tough fight. This is a top line and exciting action film.See this movie anf you will not be dissapointed.

Summary: WOW!!!.......is what i thought at first
Review: after reading all of the editorial reviews, thought, wow i think this is just a great movie!!!so i rented it(didn't wanna spend 15 bucks on a movie without seeing it first)the begginning started out great:action, exitement.then it kind of slowed down.the actual matches were way too short at the end.i didn't like the music either.this is a once a month movie (watch it once-a-month)

Summary: Jean Claude's Best Movie!
Review: Although the story was a ripped-off, this movie is excellent overall. A quality production and bravo on the directing!

Summary: The Only Good Van Damme Film Besides Bloodsport
Review: Ever since Bloodsport I've been disappointed with Van Damme martial art movies: the moves are all too slow. But what Van Damme does in this movie is what he should really just focus on: Tournment-style Martial art movies. It's no wonder that this movie was good, Van Damme co-produced this with Frank Dux. That guy can really put a storyline together. This reminds me alot of the movie Best of the Best. A real good tournament movie despite Van Damme weak choreography. After this flick, just watch Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies and leave movies like Lionheart and Knock-Off collecting dust on the video-shelves.

Summary: Very good martial arts movie
Review: I found this movie very captivating. The whole tournament was very interesting and entertainment. I would recommend this movie to any martial arts fan and even some who arent. It really feels like a much more cinamatic experience than other Van Damme flicks, he should direct more movies in the future.

And interesting note, the guy who played the big tough Sumo in the film participated in a UFC event, and got (beat) by a much smaller opponent. So it is unrealistic in some aspects, but still a great movie.

Summary: Van Damme Entertainment for Everyone!
Review: I found this Van Damme movie to be an entertaining story that doesn't lose out on the action. In some ways it's a typical Van Damme flick where he must fight a series of villains to arrive at the ultimate opponent in an ultimate fight scene (Bloodsport, Lionheart, etc), but this also adds a story that is interesting that will keep non-action fans entertained as well. A good movie for a stormy night or for a lazy Sunday.

Summary: Avoid this one!
Review: I have one thing to say about this movie: NEVER, EVER PUT A CLOWN ON STILTS AND HAVE IT START KICKING PEOPLE, especially if it's Jean-Claude!!! END

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: See it at least 1 time if you like Van-Damme
Review: I really liked this film when I saw it in the theaters.

I recently purchased it on DVD and it just doesn't hold up for repeat viewings. Some of the casting is horrible. I found the blonde reporter very annoying and the boxing champion very lame. The fights at the end are really boring when you watch the movie a second time. Every fight(except for Van-dammes) is one sided and too quick. The ending is funny, because its so lame. It reminded me of a tired parent telling the kids a bedtime story(when they would rather be doing something else), and they say "yada, yada... everyone lived happily ever after"... "now go to bed"

Rent this one. do not buy

stick to these Van-Damme titles:
Universal Soldier
Kickboxer
blood sport
lion heart
death warrant
nowhere to run(my favorite)
cyborg(another favorite)
sudden death
Double Impact
wake of death
replicant

Summary: El wasto of money-o
Review: I saw this at the theater expecting an action packed movie. It was awful. A waste of money and a waste of time to watch. Really. Rent it if you must.
