Summary: Good but least important entry.
Review: Let me start out by saying the above reviewer has not seen this film. Or at least thought he watched it but was actually watching something differant. Daniel hammered the nail in part 2 not part 1. And lord only knows what he ment about a nail through a piece of bread. Hello did you feel well when you wrote that? And Daniel wins at the end,did you know that? OK enough dispelling stupid reviews. Its a decent and entertaining film. A far cry from the quality of the first two, which are entirely differant films but the formula still works well. Its basicaly a remake of the first, as far as the way it plays out. Bill Conti's music is superb, what do you expect he is Italian, and the photography is beautiful. The acting isn't as good this time around but is still enjoyable. The film is about overcoming fear and conquering yourself. Still a positive Japanese message. If you enjoyed the first two you'll like this.

Summary: As if Karate Kid 2 Wasn't Bad Enough
Review: Ralph Maccio is an old man in this third Karate Kid story. More kicking and punching. And more words of wisdom from Mr. Miyagi as well. But Maccio's arthritic joints are obvious, as the viewer would think Miyagi to be a better fighter. We can see the deterioration in the scene where Maccio struggles to pound a nail through a slice of bread (a far cry from the scene in part 1 when he puts a nail through a board with one deft stroke). Perhaps the onle redeeming quality of this film is the casting of Gary Coleman and Emmanuel Lewiz as the "Lord of the Judo Chop Twins" who take out Miyagi and Maccio at the end.

Summary: RALPH MACCHIO and PAT MORITA are BRILLENT
Review: Ralph and Pat are perfect. Karate Kid III is a splendid motion picture. Sensei Kreese is ploting revenge. Kreese's friend Terry Silver lures Daniel into believing, I'll quote from the video, "We do not train to be merciful here. When a opponent faces you he is the enemy. The enemy deserves no mercy." Daniel eventaully relizes that he had turned to the dark side of Karate and turns to Mr. Miyagi for guidence. I enjoyed the video, but like ralph Macchio I enjoyed the first Karate Kid the Best. I think the best part about Karate Kid Part III is that it leaves room for a 4th karate kid. Oh, yeah. the end will leave you feeling good all day long, just like the first one.

Summary: A Good Movie!
Review: This was an action packed movie. Daniel is hoodwinked into defending his all-valley championship against a challenger with a bad attitude and a killer instinct. Mr Myagi will not train Daniel for the championship. Daniel turns to a toxic waste dumping multi-millionaire. The toxic waste man is also secretly a good friend with the ex marine that was humiliated by Daniel's victory in the original Karate Kid and also by Mr Myagi. Daniel discovers that he has been decieved by the toxic waste millionaire. One of the more entertaining scenes in the film is Mr. Myagi whipping the toxic waste billionaire as well as the former trainer(ex marine).Of course Mr. Myagi gets Daniel ready. The final showdown is a very good fight. Mr. Myagi's training methods save the day for Daniel. This is a very good film. Watch it.

Summary: Absolutely Brilliant Film....... Genius!
Review: KKIII is a modern-day Greek tragedy. The universal themes of love, betrayal and quicksilver are thoroughly explored in this stunning classic. I have not seen writing like this since Aristophanes.In Terry Silver, billionaire toxic waste peddler, we have the perfect foil. This morality play begins to unfold when Danny-boy is forced to sign the entry form to defend his All-Valley championship. "I think a champion should defend his title," observes Silver in one of the most gripping and compelling scenes imaginable. Mike Barnes and Snake (and, to a lesser extent, Dennis) provide the fuel for Danny-boy's moral fire. The scene in the bonsai shop that ends in the mustang convertable being nearly smashed by a speeding locomotive is reminiscent of early Kafka. Constantly challenging and never boring, KKIII forces each of us to look in the mirror. For indeed, who can really know when our real, actual John Kreise will jump from behind the cardboard imitation? In closing, keep in mind Myagi's admonition: "Karate fought for plastic metal trophy no mean nothing." Indeed. I couldn't sum it up any better than that. A definite 5-star classic.

Summary: Part 3
Review: Wow! This movie is one of the best I have ever seen. Although the first was extremly awsome this one out ranks it. The first one was great but it did not have enough action but it had a much better plot to it. I think that this movie(part 3) should have taken the place of part 2 because i think the whole trip to okinawa thing was good but it would have made best as last in the trilogy. Terry silver of this movie was not exacty the all time bad guy and i think that this mike barns guy was a total joke! Danny boy could have taken him any day..The fight in the castle at the end of part 2 was propbably the most action packed fight and should have been part 3. Over all BUY THIS FILM it rules!!

Summary: Redundant plot, but the characters good...
Review: The plot was a little bit of a re-hash of the first movie, but boy, that Daniel! He's still his loveable, endearingly awkward self! His heart's still healing over leaving Kumiko when he & Mr. Miyagi return from Japan. Oh, it was so touching when Daniel with his big brown heart-melting eyes & big heart to match helps Mr. Miyagi fullfill his lifelong dream of owning his own bonsai shop! I love how he cries openly when he accidentally breaks the root of Mr. Miyagi's most valuable bonsai tree. It's funny how Mr. Miyagi is calmly taping the root while Daniel is blubbering in the background, feeling guilty. Trouble strikes when along comes bully Mike Barnes to give poor Daniel hell. Daniel still has an ongoing problem with lack of self-confidence when he's facing bigger guys & he gets punched a number of times. I like how Daniel doesn't automatically become some all-confident fearless male stereotypical hero like so many other movie male heroes do. Daniel still has many fears, including a fear of heights, which Mike exploits cruelly when Daniel & Jessica are rock-climbing & Mike grabs Danny's rope & threatens to drop it, which terrifies the living lights out of Daniel! I could see him shaking when Mike finally let him go. I could really see Daniel's fear the most on those high rock cliffs! Things get worse when Mr. Miyagi makes a joke & accidentally hurts sensitive Daniel's feelings & Daniel gets mad at Mr. Miyagi. That's when Terry steps in & offers to train Danny for the tournament. I could see that he was pretending to be Daniel's friend while sneering at Daniel behind his back, especially when Danny winces when he hurts his foot. And what a conscience Danny has! He accidentally breaks a guy's nose & feels GUILTY, so guilty, that he desparately calls the hospitals to see if he's all right. I could see that Danny felt really sick to his stomach & when Mr. Miyagi came to comfort him, Danny blubbered about how sorry he was & blamed himself. Poor soul, he really was a WRECK! The tournament was a little predictable, but I liked how Daniel got really scared at one point & broke into tears & Mr. Miyagi had to confort him. I wish, though, that they'd had more of his mom, Lucille. At least they showed a brief clip of her when she had to go to New Jersey to care for his sick uncle. I like Lucille; she's as cute as Daniel. I liked how even though she was worrying about her brother, she managed to joke with Danny about being a "college man."

Review: This movie is an insult to the viewer. The first two movies were a natural progression. He learns Karate, beats the local bully. His next step in part 2, is to defeat a real expert, who wants to fight to the death. Then this movie insults the viewer into thinking that Daniel would come back and have the original tournament new guy who is recruited frighten him? After he traveled around the world and beat the best in Okinawa? The natural progression would have Daniel either going away to college, or to the olympics, or to some higher national championship that would test his skill, and not our patience. This movie pretends like number 2 did not happen, which is a movie very respectful and just about as good as the original. This movie obviously was an attempt to profit on the name, without any thought given to the characters, plot or film franchise in which it goes on to blaspheme, and eventually obliterate in part 4. Daniel would whip that dude around the world and back again, if the movie played true to form.

Summary: Oh...MY...GAWD....
Review: This is probably one of the worst movies I have even had the misfortune to see. The first Karate Kid was great, the first sequel was so-so, but this one is absolute garbage. Horrible pacing, horrible direction, horrible screenplay, worse-than-horrible acting, should I go on? Ralph Macchio looks like he munched on too many hoo-hoos to prepare for this role. Even Pat Morita can't save this disaster. Don't even bother with this film. Woof, what a dog. If you *must* see this film, wait until it shows up on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Summary: One of the Worst Sequels
Review: The story about the boy and his love life is just stupid. Ali Leaves him for a football player, the Chinese girl leaves him for her dream. and there ain't much acting along when he exsplains these storys. Ahhhh the acting got very bad, Not even Morita (A GREAT person) can help this film any. Bad Film, Bad Sequel, bad Idea, Bad Acting, Bad story, Bad Plot, Bad Action, Same Old Same Old etc. this film does Bad on everything it tries to do.
