Summary: YUK
Review: If there was one thing i could wipe out of my memory, it's this movie. It is the substantial evidence that Kevin Costner can't act!
This movie was totally created in the hype of supernatral thrillers, which i happen to love and some worth mentioning are The others and the sixth sense, but it bombed terribly because every single moment is predictable and awful. One memorable moment is when a child copies the scene of Haley joel-osmont in the sixth sense-i see did people- which was performed brilliantly by young talented Haley, in the most nerve-wrecking way, i actually burst-out with laughter when this boy was done. The story is good until it reaches the end of the movie and you have the urge to yell at the person sitting next to you!
The one star which i gave is for Kathy Bates who appear in a minor role. the bottom line is, THIS MOVIE IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE. Stay away.

Summary: Hey Kevin, wake me up before you go-go.
Review: My mother-in-law buys tons of DVDs. I borrowed this one from her in the hopes of it being surprisingly spooky. I was wrong. This flick is UNWATCHABLE. Turned it off after the twenty minute mark. Boring beyond belief.

Summary: Good movie; didnt' hear much about it?
Review: I thought this movie was a really good thriller...kept me guessing. I did not hear very much about this movie prior to seeing it in the rental store and I rented it on a whim. I was very much pleasently suprised and would advise getting it and watching it.

Summary: The Power of the Lost One...
Review: Dr. Joe Darrow (Kevin Costner) loses his wife in bus accident in Venezuela when she is providing medical care for those in high need. However, it is impossible for the Venezuelan government to find her body and Dr. Darrow goes back to Chicago and losses himself in work. After an incident at work the hospital administration ask Dr. Darrow to take some time of and try to grief his loss. Instead he seeks out the children in the oncology ward and he finds that most of the children have already past away. One night when he sits deep in his thoughts on the oncology ward he hears someone calling for him and it appears to be a boy who has flat lined. This is the beginning of a series of mysterious events that Dr. Darrow face and they all leads toward an unusual cross. Dragonfly is a suspenseful film that keeps the audience thinking and engaged from the beginning to the end, which presents a decent cinematic happening.

Summary: riveting!
Review: This was one of the best movies I have seen in years. Not being an avid Kevin Costner fan I was pleased with his performance in this one;it really seemed to fit him. Being a nurse,I have seen many drs. just like his character, obtuse and unemotional until hit over the head with all the evidence that his wife was trying to contact him then using his analytical dr's mind to find out why.I won't ruin the ending except to say its very satisfying!

Summary: A sad and strange movie
Review: This movie has good sides, like all the beautiful pictures, a breathtaking suspense near the end, and the interesting parrots.. Also the story is very original and thus allows for an interesting switch from dialy realities.
However, I found the story is a bit too unreal, too strange, too far-fetched, and I did not like the sadness emerging from the movie, even though it is a soothing sort of sadness ... quite a peculiar feeling.

Summary: I must comment
Review: Normally Amazon member reviews reflect my opinions about movies, hence my shock at really enjoying this film. Based on these dismal reviews, I bought it only because it was on sale pre-viewed, and watched it when my wife was safely elsewhere, lest I ruin an evening.

With certain films, one generally gets out of it what one takes in. I went in with no preconceptions, and was utterly stunned by this thrilling movie and its superb ending. I now wish I had seen this on the big screen.

Yes, a lot of the events in this movie have been done before, but this is a really good flick and I recommend it without hesitation.

There. I had to say something.

Summary: Much better than you've probably heard...
Review: This is an uplifting tale of one man's journey to find out what his wife has been trying to communitcate to him from beyond the grave. It is not particularly scary (save a scene or 2), but the acting is strong and the dialog is good. There are some special effects but not many, and very little action. The film relies on its dialog, its plot, and its lush and attractive sceneries to keep the viewer interested. Normally I am not a fan of these type of movies, but I liked this one and here is why: This movie does not try to be funny, does not try to be a tearjerker (although maybe a little in the end...), and does not try to overwhelm you with FX. It is just a thriller with a plot that I have never seen done before, that carries a message of inspiration. It was done quite elegantly and was an excellent way to spend a couple of hours.
