Summary: GO VIN!!
Review: xXx is an excellent action film. Although it is a little on the long side and requires one to look past a few bad acting scenes, it certainly does what an action film is supposed to do: provide non-stop action and adrenaline rushed entertainment. It is deifinitely a film for a select audience, namely a younger generation who grew up enjoying the X-games and hot MTV videos. There are many funny scenes included in the movie, and even a few emotional ones in which the leading man (Vin) can be seen shedding a tear or two. There is "eye candy" present for both men and women, but I also liked the fact that the film did not use sex or half-naked women to sell the whole movie. To sum it all up: xXx DELIVERS--especially Vin!!

Review: Amazing stunts - they are over the top and everyone in the audience knows they are and just goes with it. Still, I find it more believable that a fit, muscular hunk like Diesel can perform these stunts than some limp wristed, chicken legged brit in a tux.

Critics have knocked the dialog, or lack thereof. Do they really expect an action hero to start delivering a monologue? It doesn't matter if a man's words are few, if they let you know what he's thinking, where he's been. And if they display a character of desert-dry wit. I enjoyed "XXX"'s character and want to see more.

So, if you go, just let loose and enjoy!

Summary: XXX is a Good Action Packed Movie!
Review: I have to say XXX was a good movie with some amazing action sequences that will have you on the edge of your seat. The movie is shorter than you might expect it to be and very much like a James Bond Movie but for the new MTV generation. I do have to say some of the stunts are a bit over the top even for this kind of a movie, but if you enjoy hot chicks and buff guys and some great action you will enjoy this movie. The motorcycle scene and the avalanche scene will take your breath away but make you laugh at the same time and say yea right, but either way it is just fun entertainment. Vin Diesel did a good job playing the James Bond like role but to me he did not shine as much as he did in The Fast And The Furious. If you want to see a good action packed movie that will entertain you check out Triple X.

Summary: One of the WORST movies ever made
Review: Bad acting, unbelivable action shots, terrible dialogue, no plot, what more can I say than xxx is a waste of money and time.

Summary: The next James Bond? It'll do...
Review: Make no mistake, 'XXX' is being touted as the next James Bond of the big screen. Even Roger Ebert can see this film sprouting sequels and become the next big film franchise. But since Bond has gotten rather lame in the last few years, perhaps the attitude soaked 'XXX' can fit the bill after all.

Right from the beginning, you know that 007 is in danger of a swift execution. When their suavely dressed secret agent get's snipered in the opening scenes of the film, the NSA decide to try something new in the way of their super-agents; trade in their tuxedo wearing wussies for hardcore ex-con extreme-sports playing toughguys. And that's what they get in Xander Cage, played by Vin Diesal. Vin is soon sent to eastern Europe to spy on a leather coat wearing baddie (Marton Csokas) and learns that stopping him could mean saving the world.

'XXX' definately delivers in action scenes. Diesals character blows up buildings (and anything else around), jumps out of planes, smashes up cars and shoots guns with the best of them. One stand out scene features the muscled agent snowboarding down a mountain as a theatre-rumbling avalanche follows in pursuit. My seat was actually trembling.

Story doesn't deliver anything new, but in a movie like this who really cares. Samuel Jackson is great as always, Asia Argento seriously sizzles onscreen and Marton Csokas definately should get more acting opportunities after this. Vin Diesal, the mucho hyped Schwarzenegger replacement, shines in this role, and does a good job of bringing the character to life. Most of the lines fall completely flat, and the laughs are forced, but with so much going on it doesnt really matter.

'XXX' is the great summer action movie of 2002. James Bond has been around for a long time, but it's time to stop tarnishing the luster of the 'Goldfinger's and focus on the new blood. 'XXX' delivers in spades.

Summary: 007 With tattoos
Review: The title says it all. Take James Bond, add muscle, cut the vocabulary, pull back on the sex and you've got Triple X... a new sercret agent with a unique attitude. The movie is a special effects thrill ride. No bad language and no violent blood - just loud and action packed. Perfect for teens.

Summary: Make room for Vin
Review: "XXX" starring Vin Diesel as the title character is a snowboarding, car stealing, anti-establishment, skateboarding, weight lifting, snarling, speaking out of the side of his mouth kind-of-guy. Much has been said that "XXX" is really a James Bond movie but I think that is only because the main locale of the film is Prague and not Los Angeles, as was "The Fast and the Furious." Rob Cohen directed both movies and he certainly shows that he is adept at making films move at breakneck speed.
Vin Diesel is not Pierce Brosnan but a combination of Schwarzenneger and Eastwood; with Arnold's brawn and Clint's brain. Not a bad combo, if you ask me.
XXX is coerced into spy service by the redoubtable Samuel L. Jackson for one only (no sequel? Yeah right!) mission to investigate a group of Russian émigrés who plan, in essence to take over the world.
"XXX" is very noisy, exudes a lot of testosterone, has several car, plane and helicopter chases and is generally a whole lot of fun. Whether or not Vin Diesel can play a romantic lead or a comedic one is not really the point, is it? He seems to have found his niche and if he can play Othello or Romeo...hey, more power to him. Right now he is brimming with machismo and charisma and he's young. Right on.

Summary: Non-stop action...
Review: I think it's unfair to compare this film to the likes of James Bond movies. It's unfair in that it sets the viewer up with the wrong expectations going into the film. This film is entirely enjoyable for what it is, a pure action film akin to The Fast and the Furious. It's an adrenaline rush. Sure, some of the stunts might seem over-the-top and completely impossible. Sure, none of the actors had any noteworthy performances (including Samuel Jackson). But it doesn't force you to believe it. The film just tells you to sit back and relax. Don't overanalyze it.

In the film, Vin Diesel plays an accidental spy/hero. He doesn't pretend to be all suave, high-class, and cultured. In fact, sometimes his character comes off as being goofy, but yet so cool. That works. He would fit the description of "this generation's action hero." In a world where dangerous/extreme sports take the spotlight, and high-tech gadgetry rule, this film is a perfect fit in a closet full of suits.

If you liked Fast and the Furious. You'll probably love this film.

LEAP rating (each out of 5):
============================
L (Language) - 3 (it was written to make Vin Diesel sound and look cool)
E (Erotica) - 2.5 (n/a - lots of sexy women)
A (Action) - 5 (it never stops)
P (Plot) - 3 (unlikely spy saves world from disenfranchised villain)

Summary: XXX - a strike out
Review: I was excited to see this film. I loved Vin Diesel in Fast and The Furious, and I thought it would be more speed, more cars, more stunts. I guess in some way the movie did meet these expectations - there were tons of jaw dropping stunts, fast moving snow boarders, and cool stuff in general. Does that equal a good film? NO.

In fact, this is one of the worst movies I've seen to date. The acting is lifeless, the plot is a joke, and it caters to a viewer who enjoys watching the previews more than the movie. Now normally I might let a movie like this slide, if it had some degree of self-awareness. If it recognized the cheesy flash-bang approach it had chosen to take - but all these characters took themselves seriously. They didn't get that they were in a stupid movie - they thought they were in a high class bond film.

...So if you're just into big explosions, mumbled lines, and stupidity, go see this film. However, if your IQ is greater than that of a small monkey, it would be in your best interest to avoid it...

Summary: This movie kicks butt!
Review: Vin, again, is hot in this flick. What woman can help but ogle at his masculine physique covered in tattoos? I know I can't help but admire his sex appeal status. But, this movie rocked with action and technology. Samuel L. Jackson, let's not forget, makes a greater appearance to the movie. Intelligent, yet suave, Mr. Jackson gets the young Xander into his organization and trains him to be an agent. I could give this movie more stars but five is all amazon.com can give.
