Summary: Fabulous Family, High, Action, Imaginative Movie
Review: The movie peaks any child's imagination and has more than enought action and thrills for the big kids. This movie demonstrates the greatest leap in movie special effects since Star Wars. It also demonstrates the special effects used in today's movies. Everyone will at least like if not love this movie.

Summary: Definitely one of Spielberg's best!
Review: What can you say? Despite an obvious advertising gimmick halfway through the film where one sees a pan across rows of merchandise like JURASSIC PARK lunch boxes and caps and Spielberg's obsession with 'cute American kids in trouble', this is still a winner thanks to faultless special effects and an interesting storyline. Even today, it still has you thinking about DNA experiments in 'cloning' with recent real-life headlines about human cloning! JURASSIC PARK is at its best when the dinosaurs are wreaking havoc and the hapless all-star human cast can't seem to control it! The funniest scene involves dinosaur . . . droppings, and will please any SOUTH PARK fan. Not to mention the T-Rex preferring to eat people straight from the WC! Entertaining stuff for kids aged 8 to 100!

Summary: A GOOD MOVIE BUT THE BOOK WAS A LOT BETTER
Review: I liked JURRASIC PARK the movie but I found myself wanting more and here's why. For instance even though the effects are great espically the T-REX and VELICORAPTORS I felt that STEVEN SPEILBERG did'nt use enough from the novel JURASSIC PARK which was great. I felt that there was too much that was removed by SPEILBERG that was in the book tthat he did'nt use in the movie don't get me wrong there are some parts in the movie that are suspensful and exciting but I still felt like I wanted more after watching this film. One I would not recommend this film for younger kids it is just too scary. My final thoughts are if you haven't read JURRASIC PARK the novel by MICHEAL CRICHTON you'll love the movie but if you have read the novel you might be a little dissappointed like I was.

Summary: Great Movie there is!!!
Review: It's about this park that is filled with dinosaurs. But something goes wrong. The dinosaurs exscape and destroys everything. Dr. Grant, Tim and Lex are there to save them! Very action packed, and a great movie to see.

Summary: Good FX, but not much more
Review: They've finally come up with something better than claymation, ok. Beyond that, nada mucho. Annoyingly "cute" kids, dottie old eccentric billionaire grandpaps, dependable scientists, entropy; reads like a cheaper thriller. Leaves behind many of the elements that made Crighton's novel effective. But it's Spielberg, so it must be good, right?

Summary: Very dissapointing! Please DO NOT TAKE small children!
Review: Very horrific- the book was fascinating...this is not... Very early on the movie captures the 'magic' and wonderment of the book...then looses it in poorly produces 'slasher film' techniques and 'lets see how bad we can scare you' nonsense. How sad....a tragicly flawed adaptation.

Summary: Something Has Surived
Review: Jurassic Park is the ultimate of Dinosaur/action movie sthat has been filmed to this day. The special effects and realisim do show in the film, and I am a die-hard fan. I have been to see the film three times in the movie theater, and I am buying every different kind of version of both JP movies I can get my hands on. I am JP obsessed!

Summary: awesome!
Review: Although the movie strayed a bit from the plot originally written by Micheal Crichton it stands on its own as a great work of entertainment. It makes an unbelievable story come to life with characters that you care about and action that keeps you hooked. This movie also broke new ground in the realm of computer graphics with dinosaurs that you never doubt are real. END

Summary: very bad!
Review: This movie is nothing like the book. The movie and the book have different plots. Not only that but most of the scenes are missing. I did not like this movie. END

Summary: Spectacular and Thrilling
Review: Steven Spielberg's spectacular blockbuster has finally arrived on DVD. The exceptional blockbuster set box-office records and remains one of the most popular FX films of all time. In a mysterious tropical island, eccentric billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) has created the ultimate theme park with living dinosaurs and invites a group of scientists (Sam Neill, Laura Dern & Jeff Goldblum) to inspect the park first hand. When a greedy employee (Wayne Knight) shuts down the park's security system, the prehistoric beasts escape and threaten the park's guests. Acclaimed director Steven Spielberg is still a master of landmark filmmaking. Based on the best-selling novel by Michael Crichton, "Jurassic Park" is an astounding edge-of-your-seat thrill ride. This impressive film contains an engaging well structured storyline, strong performances and breathtaking thrills. The film's remarkable visual effects set new standards in CGI effects technology.

"Jurassic Park" is a welcome addition to any DVD collection. This dazzling smash hit is presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen format. Its picture quality is superb with vibrant colors and great sharpness. The 5.1 Dolby Digital sound is impressive with aggressive surround effects for an exciting home theater experience. This DVD is filled with great supplemental features including "The Making of Jurassic Park" and "Raptors in the Kitchen" featurettes, theatrical trailers, an informative Dinosaur Encyclopedia and DVD-ROM extras. With such interesting features and great viewing quality, "Jurassic Park" earns an "A".
