Summary: Why do you all hate it so much?
Review: ...For you readers who have any common sense or dignity left in their bodies, I highly reccomend this movie. The characters are funny, and VERY WELL ESTABLISHED. The acting is very good, so is the animation. And there is plot- a fairly detailed one! If anyone doesn't like it, then I suggest you people stop watching movies and go get a life!! Sorry, but this is a great film. It features a very well written script and excellent character interaction. The music is also very, very well done. This beats the heck out of the old movies- although the old movies did introduce the concept. What I can't understand is why Godzilla 2000 came out. Ok, I know you like to stick to the classic stuff, but in today's day and age it looks like [stuff]!
By the way they are planning on a sequel, I don't know when filming is going to begin though.

Summary: GET JURASSIC PARK INSTEAD
Review: I think most everyone saw this movie and most wish they hadn't. The movie is essentially a great exercise in special effects. I have to admit that I enjoy the characters of Matthew Broderick and especially Jean Reno, but the rest of them are just too cheesy. I don't know who let the lines in the script get through, but there should have been a much better plot for the film. I bought it to crank on my sound system, but now that Jurassic Park is out I can only see Jean Reno fans buying it.

Summary: Don't bother........
Review: OK, first, let me start of by saying this is NOT a godzilla movie. any true gojira( if you dont know who that is you have no reason to keep on reading. )fan should be ashamed if they actually liked this. If you want to see a true masterpiece, I would suggest the original 1954 movie, directed by Ishiro Honda.

Summary: Godd, except my siblings hate it!
Review: This is a good movie, with a good performance by Matthew Broderick, but one problem, my siblings think this movie is stupid, so I give this movie ** (2 out of 5).

Summary: that was godzilla? i dont think so
Review: Am I the only Godzilla fan out there that thought this movie sucked? Not only does this over sized iguana not have his "fire breathing" abilities(when he "breathes fire" it is only form the car and he just uses his breath to make it seem like it's from his breath), he is weak. This Goszilla is always on the run and never seems to actually want to destroy things. Oh wait, that's right, he is to busy giving birth. That's right, no Monster Zero, no Mothra, no Ghidora, no monsters at all. Now i know all the other Godzilla movies don't have a good "human" story line, so that part never bothered me, but there isn't as much action. Who cares if it looks fake? It's two guys in rubber suits dueling it out in a fake town. It's funny and action filled. Just because the American Godzilla has better graphics doesn't mean it's a better movie. Godzilla 2000 preserves the old ways of Godzilla, it's got a cheesy story line, the graphics aren't top of the line, and it's got two monsters battling, who cares if it doesn't look real, it's a movie. That's what they are there for. To be fictional. So despite this movie not being a real Godzilla movie, it still sucked. The American Godzilla went down wiht what, about six missles, three to each side. what a wuss. I don't care if a baby Godzilla survived, i want to see some major carnage. So a REAL godzilla fan knows Godzilla 2000 is better and this movie isn't.

Summary: GODLORD-GODZILA
Review: This is not a very faithfull Godzilla remake.
Fans are not happy with it.And they are right!.The remake has to be a lot faithfull to the original, including the classic things, like the way Godzilla moves and was.
The obvioulsley didn't do that.

But I thought that it was really cool, it had a lot of action, laughs, good actors, and a lots of monsters.

Matthew Broderick it good, i would prefer someone else for the rol, but he was aceptable(But not great like in Election).
Jean Reno, like always, doing a superb acting, like the one he did back in Leon(What a great movie).
Hank Azaria was hillerious! and Maria Pitillo looked beatifull!

The characters were a little stupid, the plot was good. But the best of the movie(Thatá why i liked it) were the visual effects.
Wow! We get people crashed, chopter blown up, people blowing away, baby monsters eating people, like 50 explotions, water action, and a final secuence in the Brooklin bride that is amazing.

Nick Tautopolus(Or something like that)is the worm guy, he studys worms to see its reaction from the nuclear bomb in Chernobil, in Japan. But the worms aren't the only thing that changes, lizards did, becaming GODZILLA.

So then, including 3 more characters:
Animal: The camera man, who's wife is Audrey's best friend.
Audrey: Nick's ex highschooll girfriend.Wants to be a reporter.
Phillipe"The fench": A patriot that wants to fix the hole mistake with the giant lizard.
They all end up toghether in the midlle of Madison Square Garden, after the baby godzillas wake up.

Not a bad movie, not great. It could be so much better, at list more faithfull.
'Cause Godzilla does not run(This one does...a lot).A lot things shoul be changed.
But it has good action and cool moments.

Thats all you need for a Popcorn movie.

Summary: See it again!
Review: Underated flick which recalls not only the original Gojira54 movie in certain scenes, but 50's monster movies in general, one of which was the inspiration to the Japanese Gojira. The creature is one of the most detailed monster creations in recent memory. Fast paced, good action set pieces, and shot with a nice pulp-noir look.

Summary: Misunderstood...
Review: I'd like to clear something up for those viewers who haven't seen the 1998 version of the Japanese cult-classic monster movie Godzilla: This isn't the Toho version nor' is this Citizen Kane material. Godzilla is a popcorn movie, from beginning to end. Those who analyze this film for Oscar-winning performances are missing the point.

I do agree that the human actors (With the exception of Jean Reno, who always makes things better...) are absolutely horrible, and I do wish the storyline hadn't even bothered with the cringe-inducing love interest between Broderick and Pitillo, but you didn't walk into this movie to see the humans. Instead, you entered the theater to see a big lizard terrorize the big apple an leave it in shambles. By tuning-out the humans and concentrating solely on Godzilla, that is exactly what I got, and if people would do the same, they too would find satisfaction.

Summary: Horrible Movie, Excellant CD
Review: When I heard that there was a soundtrack for Godzilla (1998), which wasn't actually about Godzilla, I didn't want to get it. But, when I went into a music store and listened to some music samples, I got it. There are four songs on it I like: 2. "Come With Me" by Puff Daddy (Now known as P. Diddy)- Great orchestra playing in background, a little too long, though. 3. "Deeper Underground" by Jamiroqui- A cool rap song. 4. "No Shelter" by Rage Against The Machine- Amazingly cool guitar songs and lyrics. 10. "Brain Stew" by Green Day- I can't explain how cool it is.
