Summary: One of the best Manga works
Review: This video should not be viewed by anyone under thae age of 18!!! Due its very adault situations, it should not be viewed by a general audience. However, it is quite a work of anime. The story line is very easy to follow, yet in many ways almost too predictable. Jubei is the typical modernist hero, who is forced to see the world centered around himself. He is complimented by a wonderful ninja-girl, who in the end his life depends on. The villans are "super-evil" and in the end, it is a true clash of ninja skill. The title does not do anything for the film. There is no scroll that is sought. The fil in all is quite the good rock'em shock 'em battle of fists and swords, spiced up with a whole mess of sex. This film is not intended for children, at all. It is in reality quite disturbing in many cases, but overall, agresat work in manga. I reccommend it for adult audiences only.

Summary: Great Piece of Anime
Review: This was one of the best Anime Movies I've ever seen. Some people might shoot it down (like ones from NYC) but with a good long intense plot and just awsome charecters this is, by far, one of the best out there!

Summary: This is what will get you hooked by Anime
Review: This movie packs everything, good animation, good characters, and of course plenty of violence. It focuses around a wanderer named Jubei who is asked to destroy demons that have wrecked havoc on an entire village. Being an Anime Jubei is of course a reluctant hero and only accepts to go along with the mission after he has been injected with poison and will be supplied with the cure upon completing the mission. Along the way he meets a girl named Kagero from the Kogah ninja team. Her entire body is poison and anyone who touches it will die a horrible death. Now they must complete the mission before time runs out.

Summary: the absolute best...
Review: the stories like this. everything takes place in ancient japan back when shoguns still ruled the lands. there is this group of 8 devils who are ninja working for the shogun of the dark. the first is a monster made almost completely of stone who slaughters half the cast in the first ten minutes. the second is a female whos deeply into snakes. the third travels threw shadows and uses a deadly claw which fires from his hand. the fourth is a blind ninja who fights using only his sence of hearing. the fifth has a hive of wasps living in his back. the sixth is a female who loves to blow stuff up. the seventh uses thin wires and a natural ability to produce electricity from his body to kill his apponents. and the last is an immortal who can regenerate himself at any time. this team of freaks is after a ton of gold which they plan to steal from the shogun of the dark and start a huge army with. the only hope of stopping them is this old ninja whos got mental skills like kaiser sozey, a traveling samari whos got this crazy flying sword technique, and a ninja girl who poisons those who she sleeps with. anyone who could possibly badmouth this movie is a fool. i ranked it far above akira and any other anime ive seen to be truthfull. there is a ton of garbage anime that you could be wasting your money on.. but this is one of those very few japanese animations that wont dissapoint you.

Summary: "One of the best action packed Anime, since Akira."
Review: Action packed movie from the far east, as a hired ninja named Jubei Kipagami teams up with an industrial spy, against the shogun of the dark, and the 8 devils of timone. This is a must see for all anime fans, the best Anime in my collection

Summary: A must seen video
Review: One of my best anime collection. Good story, good animation, great characters, I mean, what else could you ask for!!!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: way overrated
Review: First off, there is no scroll anywhere in the whole damn thing.

But, aside from that, I have some way more serious issues with this film. Now, I've seen a lot of anime, and a lot of it has some serious misogynistic overtones, but this one just really got to me. This woman is supposed to be a ninja! And they make such a big deal about how she's a female ninja and she can take care of herself and yadda yadda yadda. And what is her major role in the film, the major point to her existence as a character? She's there to be raped and repeatedly brutalized by the bad guys so that the good guy has a reason to get all vengeful and all that. For all the "tough female ninja" posturing, she never once wins a fight except through that whole scary sex power of hers. These guys must've had some serious issues with their mothers.

This is nowhere near the cinematic masterpiece that people have made it out to be. Save your money for something good.

Summary: ' Ninja Scroll ' is a really good movie
Review: This is my favourite movie. The plot is intricate and exciting, with flawless action scenes, incredible animation, memorable characters, and an storyline that will bring out the strongest of your emotions. It's the story of Jubei Kibagami, a vagabond ninja - for - hire with excellent swordsmanship, and the conspiracy he becomes involved in that alters his life. When he saves a poisonous ninja girl named Kagero, he is attacked by the Devils of Kimon, strange and frightening creatures with terrifying powers, and has no choice but to join up with a mysterious old man named Dakuan. They are later joined by Kagero, and all embark on a journey for the truth and learn a few things about themselves along the way. I definitely recomment ' Ninja Scroll ' for anybody!! END

Summary: amazing video with great color, much action and good story.
Review: Impressive movie with good ending for each story, within the movie. Over all, the story filled with myth and legend, was truly enjoyable. Both with sub-title & dubbed, I preferred sub-title to get the true emotion of each character. The hero's and villain's hate for each other was believable, as was the romance of the hero and heroines. I list this, along with AKIRA, Galaxy Express 999, as one of my best owned animated movie's. END

Summary: Even good with overdubs
Review: The thing that bothers me the most with Anime from Asia is the sometimes horrible overdubs in English that sound flat and unimaginative. Ninja Scroll (and Princess Mononoke) is an exception.

The drawings are as always superb and the story line is as well. This story is about Ninjas in 16th century Japan, but with supernatural powers. REally interesting.

It is very graphic and the language is sometimes very coarse, does make it more 'real' in some strange way or another.

Really good movie, watch it twice, once in Japanese, once in English and be surprised
