Summary: Hollywood Homicide Is Ford's Best In Years!
Review: Hollywood Homicide is the best movie Harrison Ford has made in years, and his character, Joe Gallivan, is perhaps his most interesting one since Indiana Jones. Josh Hartnett turns in his best role to date as Ford's younger, inexperienced partner. This movie does what few other movies do, it features the second careers of the officers. Many officers in real life have secondary incomes, and it is nice to see a movie focus on this aspect instead of providing cliched cop stereotypes who live and breathe police work and nothing else. Ford is a struggling real estate agent and Hartnett is a yoga instructor who wants to become an actor. Throughout the film, he is rehearsing for his role in "A Streetcar Named Desire" and Ford is trying to sell the house of a movie producer (Martin Landau) to a club owner whose business was the scene of a homicide.

There are a number of cameos as well, including Smokey Robinson as a cabbie and Lou Diamond Phillips as an undercover cop dressed as a prostitute. There are a number of funny moments, including a hilarious foot chase scene and a dual interrogation scene where Ford won't quit answering his phone and Hartnett lapses into his yoga routine. Ford's phone conversations during the chase scenes at the end are not to be missed. Lolita Davidovich appears as the head of an escourt service, Ford's girlfriend is a radio psychic who helps out with the investigation, and Dwight Yoakum plays a cop turned bad who helps the main antagonist commit several murders.

The blend of humor and action works well as the two leads play off each other. It is nice to see a cop movie where the partners are friends all along instead of the biggest cliche ever, a pair of partners who badger at each other constantly and learn a "lesson" at the end. Ford is a mentor to his partner, but never misses a chance to give him a hard time. Ron Shelton (Bull Durham) handles the direction with veteran ease, and provides a touch of Hollywood noir while at the same time adding some realism to his characters. I would recommend this to any fan of Ford, especially to those who thought he was losing his touch as one of the greatest American actors.

Summary: A Seriously Fun Time!!!!
Review: I had a flat-out great time watching "Hollywood Homicide". It is an off-the-wall action dramedy, with a tinge of romance. If you are expecting an all-out serious movie, skip it, but if you want to have a good time, check it out. The teaming of Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett works wonderfully. Special mention must also go to the great chemistry between Ford and Lena Olin. Life doesn't end at 40!!!! There are too many good characters, cameos, and laughs to mention, plus I don't want to spoil the fun of seeing them for yourselves. Concerning Ford's performance, it is a joy to behold. He is so different from his most recent films. His character of Joe Gavilan has already become one of my favorites of his. Would love to have hung out more with him.

In conclusion, "Hollywood Homicide" is an enjoyable film from start to finish, that has more than just a little fun with the way people live in Hollywood. Highly recommended if you're looking for a fun time at the movies!

Summary: Hollywood Hummer Side
Review: I did not expect much going into this movie, and I only got very little more than I expected.
Harrison Ford plays Joe, a detective who also works real estate. And Josh Hartnett is K.C., his much younger partner, who teaches yoga classes and who wants to be an actor. Their current case is to solve the murder of a local rap group. This main case is lost when Internal Affairs begins to investigate Joe--and we find out that K.C. wants to find out who really killed his father, also a cop.
We find out who the bad guys are right away. There is no further development. They do not appear again until the high-speed chase through pedestrian-crowded streets.
The best sequence is when Internal Affairs interrogates Joe with his cell phone constantly ringing...and K.C. who does yoga. Josh Hartnett does his best acting when he finally catches the one of the bad guys in an alley. Harrison Ford would do better to stick with more serious roles with brief comedy...like Indiana Jones & Han Solo. Hartnett does fine, except that maybe he was nervous--who would want to show up a veteran actor like Ford?
I agree with the other review I read here. It feels like we have two movies that were forced together instead of one movie with a good flow.
A few good laughs, but mostly just hum-hum chuckles. I liked the chase scene, too. But in the end, they only make this movie rate average. Watch 'Lethal Weapon' instead.

Summary: Hollywood Homicide
Review: I thought Hollywood Homicide was very funny. Harrison Ford was great in the movie. Of course when is Harrison Ford not great. Josh Hartnett was all right too. The plot is as follows: A murder of a rap group called H2O Click as they leave the stage pits detectives Joe Gavilan (Harrison Ford) and K.C. Calden (Josh Hartnett) into one of the biggest cases of their careers. With a bad record producer and a vengful detective trying to pin something on them the chase is on to solve the case. I also want to say what is the point of writing paragraph reviews if you didn't like the movie.

Summary: excellent
Review: I thought this movie was great, and not purposely trying to be funny but was quite hilarious. The chase scenes are great, and I really really liked it. I dunno how many movies that other reviewer has seen but this one was really good, and at first it seems a little boring and like eh but it gets really good. The end.

Summary: GREAT FUN!
Review: IF YOU LIKE "THE PIANIST" AND "SCHINDLER'S LIST", SKIP IT. BUT IF YOU A RE IN THE MOOD FOR A FUN, CHARMING AND FOOLISH MOVIE, THIS IS IT. GREAT WEEKEND MOVIE. HARRISON FORD IS EXTREMLY FUNNY. GO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF.

Summary: A Decent Movie....3 1/2 stars
Review: I thought that this was a pretty good movie. It had some good laughs and there was a littl bit of suspense, however, I don't feel that either of these were very dominant in this movie. The only really suspenseful thing in the movie was the car chase that came at the very end of the movie. I think that this movie is only worth matinee price, but Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett seemed to make a great team. It's good, but not a must see at theaters.
