Summary: Two Fins Up!!!
Review: This movie both scared my pants off and made me laugh until I was blue in the face! A perfect film with a perfect cast and a perfect plot! "Jaws" has it all! One of the scariest scenes involved Richard Dreyfuss investigating that one guy's beat-up boat at night. Microwave some popcorn, shove this beautiful little film into the VCR, and expirience movie magic at its best.

Summary: SHARK IN THE POND!
Review: "Jaws" is the movie to begin all summer blockbusters."Jaws" is a fantastic, gripping, funny, and well made movie. Bruce, the mechanical shark, is incredibly sculpted and performs beautifully. "Jaws" is a movie for the ages. (Seems like Speilberg makes a lot of those, doesn't he?)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: masterful control of dramatic tension...
Review: ..The shark isn't actually seen until maybe half-way through the movie. I saw this movie on the big screen when it was first released, and when the shark suddenly appeared on the screen, most of the people in the theatre involuntarily leapt from their seats with shock!

Summary: EXCELLENT
Review: I HAVE SEEN JAWS OVER TWO HUNDRED TIMES,AND IT IS STILL GOOD NOW AS IT WAS BACK IN 1975 WHEN MY OLDER BROTHER TOOK ME TO SEE IT.I HAVE OVER A THOUSAND MOVIES IN MY COLLECTION AND THIS RATES AS MY MOST FAVOURITE.ROBERT SHAW AS QUINT IS MY FAVOURITE ACTOR IN THIS MOVIE,I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT STEVEN SPIELBERG WAS AT HIS BEST WHEN HE DID THIS MOVIE AS WITH SCHINDLERS LIST,I AM JUST ABOUT TO GO AND SEE DEEP BLUE SEA SO HOPEFULLY THIS MOVIE WILL MATCH UP TO THE ORIGANAL SHARK MOVIE.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: OK, OK, it is masterful but . . .
Review: Yes, Jaws is the beachside thriller and yes, I watch it for the conjuring up of a visceral scare that is comparable only to showering with Norman Bates nearby but . . .

Why is the sun setting in East in the opening credits, why (or how) does the chain hooked to the rump roast of the old fisherman on the pier lead out for 50 feet when the shark snags the roast and then shorten dramatically (by forty-five feet) once the pier is pulled into the water and the shark nearly nabs the fisherman floundering to shore, or, worse, the town of Amity spring for Quint's shabby boat when they've Hooper's spanking new cruiser with all the latest in techno-gear, or worser, how does Hooper escape a mauling Great White that has just torn open his shark cage and hide on the ocean bottom? C'mon, Steven -- stuff's gotta add up, right?

Summary: JAWS IS STILL A CLASSIC
Review: Jaws is one great american classic, and it's better than the truly dreadful jaws the revenge, including the ending that is a masterpiece in american history

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: BEST OF ALL JAWS MOVIES, AND MAYBE OF THE 70'S
Review: This Movie should have been seen by everyone already,if not then go rent or watch it on TV.This JAWS film,it's acting, special effects, and shark attacks beat all the others by a trillion stars.Stephen Spielburg, and his cast of Roy Schieder,Robet Shaw, and Richard Dryfus should still to this day be congradulated. This film by far had the best shark attacks.Crissy the 1st victim, the little boy Alex on the raft, the Boy scout leader and Quint were the Best and most classic attacks. To Top That off,Roy Schieder blowing up the fish at the end.The first time I saw this movie,it scared me so much I thought twice before going into the Water.

Summary: Not Spielbergs best, but pretty damn good
Review: I am a film buff, and therefore think Spielberg is a genius, and gets better with each film. A young and ambitious director brings us the story of a shark terrorizing Amity island. But that's just the surface plot.

Mike Brody (Rob Scheider) is the new sheriff of Amity, and when a young girl is missing, he calls in shark-ologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and salty old sea-dog Quint (Robert Shaw) to find the culprit. Little do they know that the culprit is a 25-foot Great White Shark.

Thus, the adventure begins, and the 3 men isolate themselves on a wooden bathtub in the middle of the ocean. Here, we learn a bit about themselves and how they relate to each other in an enclosed space. We learn, through a monologue, about Quints experience in the real-life U.S Indianapolis. We get to learn what makes Brody and Hooper tick (a.k.a; Quint)

Again, this film does, in no way whatsoever, measure up to Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan, but Stevie was pretty courageous for risking his career on a film he wasn't sure about. Bravo!!

Summary: Excellent movie. One of the best all time horror flicks.
Review: I saw this movie in a theater in 1975 when it came out and loved it. I was afraid to go swimming in the lake and pool!!! I watched it again recently and it still holds up to all the high tech movies of today. Wonderful story and great acting.
