Summary: Great movie, but E'Nuff Action?
Review: I'm as big a Star Wars buff as anyone. I loved TPM and I actually saw it 6 times in the theatre(1 in IMAX). Everytime I saw it, it seemed to get better and better, but there are still a few things a huge fan like myself would love to ask George. Things such as why didn't Maul have a bigger role. I read so much hype about how he was the new evil,(Maul's character was as dark and cool as I thought he'd be), but he really wasn't givin a chance show us what he could really do until the end. The scenes he was in, were fantastic, but he seemed to appear then disappear, literaly! I just think that if he had more scenes, it would have made the movie a-little more satisfying for us action-adrenaline freaks! Hopefully, the sith lord in the second movie won't suffer the same fate.(George..hint,hint,hint! )

Second is Jar Jar....the more times I watched TPM the more he grew on me. BUT! I think he has definately run his course...Anything more than a bit part in Episode II would be a big mistake.

Another quam is the dogfight between the Naboo starfighters and the Droid fighters around the control ship. There was so much potential which couldn't be brought to fruition in the five ten-second scenes we saw of the battle. The space battle scene in Jedi is what helped make that movie great.

Don't get me wrong, I loved TPM, but I just wanted a little bit more darkness and little bit more action. Hopefully, the second and third episodes will grant this dedicated fan's wish.

Summary: THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!
Review: If I was to give this movie six stars, I would definitely rate this movie a six, maybe even higher! This movie has THE BEST visual effects I have ever seen in a movie! This movie will definitely win the 1999 Academy Award for best visual effects. I'm going to buy the widescreen version, so I can see everything on the screen and enjoy every minute of it. If you are a sci-fi fan, you will LOVE, AND I REPEAT, LOVE, this movie!

Summary: Help, Lucus is out of Control !
Review: Though the special effects and final 30 minutes of the film were fantastic. The storytelling, screenplay, characterizations, and editing seemed to comercial, un-interesting, and inept to telling the tale of the first Star Wars sequel. I do plan to buy the tape in order to have the entire set. The magic from the orginal three films is noticably absent from the extravagent proceedings. I for one waited in line 9 hours for Day 1 tickets and was momentously disappointed. The film did have the Star Wars heart just not nearly enough of it. Lucus, go find Irvin Kisinger NOW.

Summary: What is old is new again.
Review: George Lucas had a tough row to hoe: He had already created the most successful movie series of all time, but after a nearly 20 year gap was expected to take up where he left off and meet everyone's anticipations and expectations. Well, he met mine! I was very pleased with this movie! I especially liked the way the design of the movie implied that the republic was at one time the pinnacle of galactic achievement; the architecture, spacecraft, fashion, etc. The later years (witnessed in A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) show decay and the breakdown of the organized consumer base. This was reminiscient of the "Foundation" trilogy by Isaac Asimov to me. I give it a thumbs up! WAY up!

Summary: Great Things Come to Those Who Wait
Review: THIS MOVIE HAS BEEN SO LONGLY ANTICIPATED, WHEN IT FINALLY ARRIVED, IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN WE HAD EVER IMAGINED. ANYBODY WHO CONSIDERS THEMSELVES A DIEHARD, HAS TO AGREE THIS MOVIE WAS FANTASTIC. THE EVENT OF REVEALING ANOTHER SITHIAN WAS ALL THAT IT TOOK FOR ME. DARTH MAUL WAS EVERYTHING THAT VADER CULD HOPE FOR IN COUNTERPART. HE WAS LIKE A JACKIE CHAN AND SCARFACE WRAPPED IN ONE. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I'M NOT A BIG DARK SIDE SUPPORTER, BUT I FOUND MYSELF ROOTING FOR THE MENACE MORE THAN ONCE.

Summary: EXCELLENT MOVIE!
Review: This movie ties with ESB! It is so hard to compare which one is better. I was told earlier today that people will only like this movie if you have an eight year old's mentality, yet this is so not true. Jar Jar Binks is not a racial character at all. He is put in there strictly for comedy! Look at Jabba The Hutt! Did anybody say he was not a good character b/c he was fat? Did people become offended by him for obesity? NO! And then comes the aliens in the blockade. They may have an accent, but is that making racist remarks? Certainly not! This movie is by far one of the best movies ever made, and should not be missed!

Summary: Still Great But Lacks Something
Review: I love all the Star Wars films and I wasn't expecting this movie to be the best film of my entire life becuause no movie could have lived up to the hype sorrounding the Phantom Menance. After the film ended I was surprisingly pleased. This movie ranks up with the likes of Return of the Jedi in the sense that it was good but not outstanding as Empire or Episode 3. I personally thought that the film lacked a charm that was evident in the first three films. In the beginning we had unknown actors in roles that were so cool, now we have big name stars like Samuel L. Jackson and Liam Nisson trying to capture the esssence of the originals and even though they do a good job, it just doesn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, this is a great flick loaded with some of the best special effects you could see and probably the most exciting lightsaber battle in the history of the series. I buy the movie because come on it's Star Wars and I know after all the hype dies down this will be a very nice relaxing evening sitting back for two hours and visiting the Star Wars world once again.

Summary: IT WASN'T THAT BAD
Review: Okay, we all know what this wasn't the best movie ever, JarJar was trite (and perhaps offensive), but come on . . . has anyone seen the original (Ep.IV) recently? That was hokey. Also, the jedi fight scenes in this were unbeleiveable. Made Luke's and Vader's fight in ROTJ look like a pillow fight. Also, rumor has it that Lucas has promised us a "darker" Episode II which should be fun so buy the video and Lucas will have more money to spend on the next one. :)

Summary: Your 4-year-old will love it...
Review: ...but if you like Star Wars at all, you'll be sorely disappointed. Humor, entertainment, spirit, a decent story.. almost everything good about the first three movies is gone here. If it wasn't for Liam Neeson, we wouldn't even see any decent acting. There's no real villain. There are several modern cultural references that do nothing but degrade the movie and irritate the viewers. The plot (I use the word loosely) and dialogue are beyond ludicrous - even by George Lucas standards. Instead of an exciting and well-told story, we get a bunch of pointless drivel manufactured only to serve the special effects. Instead of witty banter and light humor, we get Jar Jar Binks and 'jokes' that belong in a bad Disney cartoon. Lucas has EXTREMELY dumbed down what was once a cinematic marvel, and instead made it into a superficial pre-adolescent slapstick fest for the purpose of a few billion extra merchandising dollars. It's a shame.

Summary: Not so good.
Review: I consider myself a pretty darn hardcore Star Wars buff. And I still have to admit that this film was lacking. Pacing was rushed and choppy. I never felt emotionally "there". Sorry all.
