Rating: Summary: review from edinburgh Review: This is a great film there is plenty of gory violence e.g. someone's head being crushed by Sylvester Stallone's car. One of the best motoring movies ever. Comparable to Mad Max II, only more blood.
Rating: Summary: Great movie, *AWFUL* DVD Review: Whoever did the transfer of this edition should be forced to watch it over and over without possibility of parole. The picture is "ghost"-ridden and, in some places, looks overexposed. Toward the end of the movie, the sound loses synchronization with the picture. Avoid this edition at all costs. It's bad enough to make you want to give up DVD as a medium.
Rating: Summary: Paul Verhoeven MUST have seen this movie. Review: I was wondering how the heck someone arrives at a movie like Robocop with all the ultraviolence, social commmentary and humor mixed in. Voila! It must certainly have been Deathrace 2000 that inspired Verhoeven in his Robocop and Starship Troopers movies. I loved it! At the very least, this movie is a landmark event in cinema and defined a genre. A great movie!
Rating: Summary: A superb fast paced racing film Review: .The idea of Frankenstein being some massive hero to all the people is also a great take on sporting heros as the Death Race in the film is as it says on the poster the national sport. The violence is the film is brilliantly done, the comedy is also excellent, even the death's of some of the pedestrians is comical an example being the man with a red cape waving at one of the drivers.Overall a brilliant, fast paced, violent film.Classic.
Rating: Summary: This is a movie you'll never forget! Review: I really enjoy this movie. It gets better each time you watch it
Rating: Summary: Fun to watch Review: I loved this movie, it was one of those great bad movies like Army of Darkness.
Rating: Summary: THE REAL DON STEELE A LEGEND Review: FROM THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS MOVIE(75) IWAS 5 YEARS OLD AND IT STILL IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FILMS TO DATE. carradine as frankenstein, sly as joe paturbo and the real don steele as junior perhaps the greatest death by car scenes bar none. roger corman is a genius.
Rating: Summary: Top 3 low budget science fiction movies of all time Review: This movie is watchable time and time again. How can you beat a young Sylvestor Stallone? The off-beat humor cannot be topped. I rate this as one of the top three low budget science fiction movies ever. The other two: "A Boy and his Dog" and "Creation of the Humanoids". It is my favorite Roger Corman movie also. But ... do yourself a favor and pass on the bogus sequel called "Deathsport". The original has a certain magic but the second try does not. Well, I have to go now there are still some pedestrians left in the world.
Rating: Summary: Great. A whole lot better than CF1012@aol.com (WHAT A FOOL) Review: This is the best, funniest movie ever made. THe rating system of the kills and the part where the three men are trying to dodge the cars by going into the sewer and two of the funniest scenes in movies ever made. I would now like to pause in my review to the best movie ever made to give a BOOO,BOOO and a double BOOOOOOOOOO! to a certain fool (CF1012@aol.com) who called this movie "hilariously bad." Now I would like to mention my favorite quote in the movie, " You know Myra, some people think you're cute. But me, I think you're one very large baked potato" HEHEHEHEHEH HAHAHAHAHAHA! PUPPY,
Rating: Summary: Hi-Lar-ious Review: Sly Stallone, in his first major motion picture debut, David Carradine as a champion deathrace driver, and tons of gore and maiming of innocents in such a campy way make this movie a classic. Rent it. Buy it. Hey its all Roger Corman too!
