Summary: So you think this is a bad film right? WRONG!
Review: Commando is, perhaps, the greatest action film of all star. It's plot is transparent, it's characters are practically one-dimensional, Arnold's character John Matrix is totally invincible and everybody around him is there to help or to get pulverised by him. It is totally unrealistic, filled with the best one liners in film history and gives 90 minutes of pure, high octane brainless action. There's no reason why anybody should not buy this, it is a classic part of motion picture production.

Review: i bought this dvd recently. this is the third time i look into this movie based on dvd software. i have the VHS and VCD and compare the audio format/sound the dvd is much more better than the other two. i have a comment here that, i'm dissappointed after i found that the dvd audio format is not the dolby digital 5.1 surround format such as the terminator 2. hope to receive your comment why this dvd is not in 5.1 surround system. if this movie is in the 5.1 surround format i think it will give more sound impact and the enjoyment to the end of this movie.

Review: commando is an excellent action movie for arnold fans however this dvd transfer is below par of some other fox titles. there is a significant amount of snow and digital messiness that can be quite distracting during some of the dark scenes and even in some of the daylight scenes. you might consider waiting for another version of commando to hit the dvd market due to the snow of the transfer. too bad, until then i will continue to watch my vhs version and keep my dvd version to trade at some store.

Review: Simply put, I call this movie the total package. I mean, not only do you get the finest film of all time but you also get the most versitile, well-rounded actor since the inception of sound in film. I laughed, I cried...it became a part of me.

Review: I won't ruin the plot, but rent this for a rainy Saturday afternoon. It is a winner and the acting can't be beat. The cliff scene is my favorite. Get it today!!!!!

Summary: Childish and brainless action
Review: If it hadn't been for the -80s nostalgia and Arnolds boyish charm, I would have given this film one star less. Because everything else about it is really bad. The comic relief/romantic object-character has really corny lines, like "These guys eat to much red meat." Arnie gets surrounded by two or three dozen bad guys constantly firing machine guns - and manages to kill everyone in sight without getting a scratch. After approximately nine hours locked up, alone in a room, the kidnapped daughter gets the idea to go and check if the door is locked. There are so many stupid details in this movie, there is no time or space for anything else.

Summary: COMMANDO is the embodiment of the 80's!
Review: Words simply do not describe this film. Lots of guns, lots of death, lots of blood, a yellow Porsche 911, a great cast of characters, an excellent story and setting... and of course the ultimate protagonist/antagonist rivalry make Commando a classic 80's action film. Arnold, in his prime in my opinion, does a great job as Marix, an ex-military man now trying to lead a peaceful civilian life. However, Vernon Wells deserves a damn Oscar for his performance as the villian, Bennet. He's a leather-pants and chain-mail vest wearing mercenary with a bad haircut and porn-star mustache who wants to kill Matrix so badly, that he staged his own death in order to have everyone drop their guard before all hell breaks loose! The fight scene in the mall with the cops and the final battle between Matrix and Bennet are classic. Fianlly, the music supplied by Powerstation, deserves recognition. Simply one of the best over-the-top, action packed, take-no-prisoners, no retreat-no surrender, blood-and-guts, death and destruction films of all time.

Summary: OK MOVIE. INTERESTING.
Review: This is by far not the best Arnold movie but it was pretty good. I personally liked Terminator 2. The touch with the lady saying "I read the instructions!"was a good,funny touch. This movie is recommended by myself. I have it and have seen it a few times. But definetely not the best Arnold movie.
