Summary: Batman is back, but it's not Keaton.
Review: I loved the first two Batman movies, but I hated this one. This one stunk! Jim Carrey is so annoying as the psychotic Riddler. Scarface, played by Tommy Lee Jones, was pretty cool. However, this movie just wasn't as dark as the first two films. And Val Kilmer is no Micheal Keaton, who played as Batman is the last two. I think Kilmer makes a lousy replacement for Keaton. The plot in this movie is poor. The script stinks, too! Sorry. That's the way I feel about this silly mess. Batman is old anyway. How about some James Bond or Jackie Chan. Their movies are a heck of a lot better than this.

Summary: Take it for what it is.
Review: The Batman Forever DVD is awesome! When watching ANY comic book movie you have to keep in mind it is a comic book movie and not Saving Private Ryan. It's visual, cool to look at and listen to, but it probably wont be an Oscar winner; if thats all you expect going in ... you'll be happy. If the suit is cool, the car looks cool, and they're is at least one hot chick after the hero, then all the elements have been met. Granted, that Nicole Kidman kissing Batman while wrapped in a bed sheet is pretty sweet, its still a notch or two lower than Michelle Pfiffer's Catwoman pinning (Michael Keaton) Batman and licking his face (in Batman Returns). Great visual effects, the best Batmobile EVER, a Robin that doesn't look like wimp, and a strong soundtrack over shadow the one thing I didnt like, nipples on the Batsuit. Watch this movie as a comic book movie, take it with a grain of salt, and have fun with it.

Summary: Good, but not good enough
Review: This was an above average movie, but could have easily been the best of the Batman series. I have a few problems with this movie. One: NIPPLES ON THE BATSUIT. What the ... was that there for? Two: TWO-FACE'S CHARACTER. They should have used the black and white suit from the cartoon instead of a red and white zebra suit, with an leopard tie and spiked shoes. It's just too colorful, which leads me to three: TWO MUCH ... COLOR. What was Gotham supposed to be, Las Vegas? Note the word "goth" in Gotham. And also, there was never a clear sky day in the previous movies, why was it that way in this one? Finally: THE MOVIE WAS JUST PLAIN SILLY. Cartoon sound effects? The childish dialouge? The villians' insane, forever lasting laughter? And what was with those 1940's cars and music? This movie should have been the best yet Batman but instead slides in at #3. But compared to the next Batman this one is "The Empire Strikes Back".

Summary: Good sequel saves the series...
Review: Val Kilmer is Batman in this third entry into the successful series. The Riddler is wreaking havoc on Gotham City and it's up to Batman to save the day. Chris O'Donnell plays Robin and joins a reluctant Batman in bringing down Riddler and Two-Face. Director Joel Schumacher makes "Batman Forever" a bright, stylized comic-book movie and succeeds for the most part. Tommy Lee Jones is silly as Two-Face and Jim Carrey is goofily over-the-top as the Riddler. Hold on to your bat-seats, fans. This is a good one!

Summary: Rocks and rocks!!!
Review: This Batman movie is incredibly intense for many reasons, and I would advise parents do beware. This is not a kids movie. It opens with incredible violence, and when you come face to face with the character of Two Face, played to the max by Tommy Lee Jones, it just reeks with darkness. Also, if you're a Jim Carrey fan, which I'm not most of the time, you'll find that he is the epitome of The Riddler. I enjoyed his performance, but by the end of the movie, it got ridiculous, and the Riddler got ridiculous. The movie moved with speed, but ended a bit disappointingly. Not a bad movie, though, but I'd encourage caution, if with adult viewers. Intensity throughout.

Summary: best live-action Bat-flick yet...despite TwoFace's misuse
Review: Val Kilmer was the awesome. Jim Carrey was great. (he stole the show.) This was a great film and would be five stars...except for the misuse of two-face. Two things anoy me about two-face--1. He was written into the script as another goof-ball villain when he could havre been the dramatic and tragic foe he was in Batman: The Animated Series. 2. Tommy Lee Jones furthured the misuse of two-face by furthur embracing the goof-ball villain, praticly ignoring his only good lines. But other than that, AWESOME! BUY IT!

Summary: Batman/Robin/Riddler/Two-Face/are Awsome
Review: This Movie rock more then The Batman Returns Alot more. Jim Carey is one of best playing Villians of all time. The Two-Face I like Because he's tought and He dosen't take [garbage] no one. Val Kilmer/Batman plays Batman pretty good. And Robin is pretty cool to and all of the costomes are pretty awsome and the story of it is good to. All around it's a Awsome Movie. Summary: Batman Forever....still good after 7 years
Review: I saw this movie many times when it was in the theaters in 1995. I bought the video as soon as it came out. Now I have the DVD and still watch it frequently. It has stood the test of time.
Val Kilmer does a great job as both Bruce Wayne and Batman. His acting is much more layered than Michael Keaton's. I think Keaton did a good job in the first two movies, but Val Kilmer gives a performance with many levels, especially when he is Bruce Wayne. The viewer can see the torment which has created Batman in Kilmer's eyes. I totally disagree with any review that says Kilmer's performance is wooden or one-dimensional. It is simply subtler and deeper.
Tommy Lee Jones is very good as Two-Face. Sometimes Jim Carrey goes a little too far over the top. As several others have said, his Riddler is not much different than some of his other characters.
This movie certainly beats the cheezy Batman and Robin hands down. If there was ever an acator not destined to play Batman, it is George Clooney. He has done a good job in seveal films, just not B&R.
If you want adventure, acation, romance and comedy all in one
entertaining package, buy this DVD.

Summary: yet another successful sequel to the Batman series
Review: I liked the different approach to Batman Forever, even if it wasn't as dark as the first two. True, it would have been just as good if not better if Tim Burton did this movie and Michael Keaton had of stuck with the roll. Still, Val Kilmer did a good job as Batman, Tommy Lee Jones pulled off Two Face, and Jim Carrey made the Riddler shine. And of course, it's good that Robin was included in this movie. Out of all the Batman films, I prefered Chase Meridian as Bruce Wayne's girlfriend but that's just my opinion. Anyway, Batman Forever makes three in a row for the successful Batman series.
