Summary: Just as awful as everything else star trek.
Review: I saw this wreck in theaters thinking it would be good because of the visuals. I was wrong! The visuals are even garbage! This movie was so boring it wasnt funny.

Horrible acting, lame story, and lame effects. A joystick to pilot a starship? Please! That is so lame!

This makes Batman and Robin look like a four star masterpiece.

Summary: mediocre
Review: I found myself dissapointed with this movie because it had the overall feal of a TNG episode with lots of special effects. When the producers and writers were making this, they kind of forgot they were making a movie. Several scenes were very pretentious and corny, ending with a few lines of poorly written dialogue and anti-clamactic endings. Nothing interesting happened, and the gags added in only detracted from the dignity of the movie.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES BY PARAMOUNT
Review: I believe that Insurrection brings back the true reason Star Trek was created. Our world sees everything as something to be owned. Finally, Picard and crew stand up to the 'perfect' command, Star Fleet Command, when they make a dire error. Picard is wonderful, and I'm happy I bought the DVD.

Summary: Sigh... we need some new writing blood here.
Review: I'm a huge Star Trek fan, but this mediocre entry into the Star Trek cannon just shouldnt have happened. After the exciting, excellently paced First Contact, Insurrection looks really bad. If this had come out after Generations, it would have been an improvement by leaps and bounds. But whereas FC felt like a movie, Insurrection is really just a collection of some of the more worthwhile things in Trek. Unfortunately, its all been there-done that. Its time to open up the Trek franchise and have a movie that sprawls the galaxy in a myriad of locations, not this rather mundane retread of Trek ethics. I love the ideas represented here, but the execution is downright clunky. Only the excellent direction by Frakes and the interesting special effects (although a bit to noticeably digital for my tastes) save this film and raise it above least involving Trek movies, Final Frontier and Generations.

Summary: THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH HAS FINALLY BEEN FOUND
Review: 9th installment of the 'TREK' series. 3rd screen outing for 'NEXT GENERATIION' cast. 'OSCAR' winner F. Murray Abraham and Anthony Zerbe fantastic in their co-starring roles. Great storyline. Great special effects. Can't wait for the 10th fim.

Summary: Very good Startrek film, great special effects, good plot
Review: This movie isn't one of the greatest films you've ever seen, but it is a great film if you are a Star Trek fan. The special effects are top notch, the plot is good, if a little predictable. The cast all recieves a good amount of screen time and most have a few really good lines. Worth seeing, definitely worth buying.

Summary: It's about time Troi & Ryker got it together!
Review: Those of you who are trashing this movie seem to be missing the point! I see this as a light hearted, true to the series addition to the Trek Universe, like ST 4, The Voyage Home. Personally, I loved the humor, it was a nice follow up to the passions of First Contact. Nice to see Jean Luc being so human! I have also always wanted to see Troi & Ryker get back to their original relationship! So, needless to say, I LOVED the bath scene! Personally, I think Imzadi, by Peter David would make a great movie! Also Q-In Law! Anyway, I think this is a fun, enjoyable movie!

Summary: Great special effects, average plot.
Review: As a 20 year trekkie, I looked foward to this movie with great anticipation. I was mildly dissapointed with the lack of a plot, and felt more like I had watched a regular TV episode than a movie. The special effects were good, but all the hoopla leading up to the relase of the movie left me wanting more.

Summary: A Great Movie for Trekers; a very good movie for others
Review: Star Trek Insurection is the best ot the Next Generation movies. If you are a Treker/Trekie, you'll love it for its core exploration of the Prime Directive. For others, you will like it for its good plot, great direction, and wonderful special effects. In general, it's just a FUN movie to watch.

Summary: A Great Fantasy, Much Better Than Star Wars
Review: If you riddicule Star Trek then you need to stop, if you dont like star trek then of course you won't like the movie it is obvious. I think it is a wonderfull film with laughs and yet you are still on the edge of your seat the entire time. Although Jean Luc doing the Mambo was very out of character the rest of the film was well written and funny. From Data being a Floatation Device to his breasts firming up and Warf getting a pimple it could very well be considered a comedy. I definetly liked it and I think you will to.
