This film had a good plot! This film ,while watching it, makes you feel like you are there. All through the movie you are rigth there with Burnett(Wilson) feeling his pain, joy, ect.and also Admiral Reigart's(Hackman).Tracker(Maskov) was also a good actor as the "bad guy".The graphics in this movie were totaly awesome!! Summary: Warning: Rough Film Cuts Ahead
Review: Take a Dramamine before going into the theatre because you're going to need it. Did no one tell the director about the invention of the Steadycam from the late 1970s? BEHIND ENEMY LINES is a formula buddy picture about the hotshot pilot who inadvertantly finds himself wanting out of the service ... and he gets out, only not under the most luxurious of situations: behind enemy lines. The film cements the possibility of Owen Wilson starring in future action / buddy pictures, and the picture also reaffirms that Gene Hackman, at 71, still chews scenery better that any septuagenarian around. Worth a glance, even if passing.

Summary: Where's the Soundtrack?
Review: I enjoyed this film very much, although the story line was a little unrealistic. The cinematography was excellent, and the soundtrack really kicked butt. Unfortunately, I don't think they released the soundtrack on CD - a big mistake.

Summary: Behind Enemy LInes
Review: While I am no qualified movie critic, I felt compelled to write on this one. Things that appealed to me were that we place too much trust as a country in politicians and that Gene Hackman's character was willing to place his career on the line to save one of his men. In today's military, I believe the serviceman justifiably don't have faith to be saved, esp. if it is not politically expedient. Remember Somalia. It is so sad to realize the again that politics plays such a role in the waste of the lives of our fathers, brothers and sons. It was awesome to realize this was based on a true story.

Summary: this movie was poop
Review: The end of the move was so gay OMG. The air force never retrofits Hueys (like they did in the end of the movie) with rockets adn machine guns thats why they have gun boats (attack choppers) This movie was slow at points the only reason it get 2 stars is because i saw it with my gf. The other thing that made this movie as bad as it was was the fact that owen wilson was in it hahahah what a tard he is

Summary: Behind Enemy Lines
Review: I have to admit to being slightly worried at the beginning of this film, not quite sure in which direction it was gonna go, however within twenty minutes, I was on the edge of my seat.

I was surprised at the casting of Owen Wilson, in an action role, especially after seeing him in Shanghai noon and meet the parents, however I think it worked well. Whilst the plot was not always totally convincing, the acting was generally good, and the effects were brilliant, making you feel as though you were actually in the scene at some points. The camera angles and use of light, also added that extra dramatic effect.

I only wish it had been slightly longer, and summed up a little more at the end. Anyway despite that I can't wait to buy it on it's day of release!!

Summary: How dumb do they think we are?
Review: OK, God knows one doesn't excpect Hollywood to give you high art, but there is no excuse for anything as dumb as this. I can really imagine a bunch of producers in suit going "Hmmm... they bought into a movie as dumb as Swordfish, and Mission Impossible 2. That's as dumb as we can do it" than the other one goes "Wanna bet?"

No, the truth is, this isn't as stupid as Mission Impossible 2, but at least that one wasn't as serious. This is a pretentious military action thriller. It has a huge budget, but no brains at all.

I don't know, maybe I'm only upset because the last warr movie I saw was Apocalypse Now Redux, and that made you think about how dumb this movie is. Or because when George W. goes around bombing Afgahnistan, we get one of the most unashamedly patriotic American movie ever.

Or did you catch the scene when the Nato admiral (obviously evil and with a French accent - hmmm... previous movies like 'Rules of Engagement' at least had AMERICAN bad guys, but now even this is given to the foriegners), gives his little speech about how the US action risks the peace in Bosnia? Gene Heckman doesn't even response, because who cares about war... we want our action and a little blood.

Stupid scene after stupid scene, the Director and co. keep insulting our inteligence. I mean, not that you expect the bad guys to win or anything, but how stupid do they have to be? for some reasons, bombs exploding kills bad and not good guys, they refuse to hit our heroes even when they use TANKS, they are looking for a Disk, but don't check the remains of the airplane where it is, etc, etc, etc.

OK, the special effects are good, and so is the acting (especially I liked the bad guy, and the guy who played him really caust the murderous dedication needed for the role), but nonetheless, it is such a huge waste of money it's hard to believe this was ever made.

As some other review said, if this is Uncle Sam wanting you, better tell him to get his hands off you

Summary: Really Good Movie
Review: When i first heard about this movie i honestly thought it looked kind of boring but then when i went to it , it was so good. IT's like a wild chase with all the action in it you could want, i think that even if this isint your kind of movie, you will still enjoy it just the same. Owen Wilson did an excelent job portraying a character being chased by the Russian Army. You can tell how hard they worked on this.

Summary: Best action movie of the year!
Review: Undoubtedly, Behind Enemy Lines is the most action-packed movie of the year. The previous reviewer who belitled the movie that has "ludicrous situations" obviously never watched James Bond. But, nothing about the movie is ludicrous. Owen Wilson gives an Oscar-caliber performance. The sequence in which Burnett (Wilson and his partner, Stackhouse, get shot down is nothing short of breath taking. The land mines sequence is death defying and heart stopping. And, the end, no one can come up with a better plot than this!

Summary: It could have been Better
Review: This film looks as though it was made with all good intentions. I really wanted to like and enjoy it. Because the character motivations were never deeply explored it lacked the essence of what could have made it a good old fashioned stand-up-and-cheer movie. It moved at a lethargic pace. If the character motivations were explored in depth, lethargy would have been replaced with concern and interest and it would have been a much more entertaining film. I also thought this made the Hollywood theatrics at the end of the movie just too unbelievable and out of place. Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman and David Keith do their best with what script they are given.
