Summary: WING COMMANDER IS GOOD IT REALLY IS!
Review: It is a good movie and I hope there will be a next one! I bought it on DVD and it looks fantastic. It is a shame that this movie wasn't released in cinema in the Netherlands!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not entirely that bad
Review: Ok, I loved the game and I admit it. Anyway, I hate this movie at first. It is similar to a 90210 in space like Starship Troopers but has lower budget. However, after seeing some Trek movies, I think I rather indure the pain with this one.

Summary: Loved it!
Review: Personally, I've never played the video game, (although I do love video games), and I thought the movie was great! Of course, what movie with Matthew Lillard ISN'T great...hehehe....Nah, really, it's definetly action-packed, the story line isn't TOO complicated (hey, if I can get it, YOU can get it! ), and there's a great cast, even minus Matthew Lillard! Give it a try, if you're like me, you wont be disappointed! Oh yeah, and to all you people who gave the movie bad reviews, *sticks tongue out at them*

Summary: Great title to own; really grows on you
Review: Repeat viewing of WING COMMANDER really brings out the exquisite detail in this well-crafted film. Although simple in plot, the film's docu-drama format is full of interesting dialog lines, sound effects, and visuals, such that each time one watches the movie, he discovers something he didn't notice before.

The transfer to DVD is exceptional, with the computer-generated imagery being shown in all its glory. The sound, as appreciated on Dolby Digital equipment, is some of the best I have ever heard. Crank it up!

Summary: not bad, not brilliant
Review: The Bad : the younger actors, Freddie Prinze jnr and matthew lillard were definatly not the proffesionals (and the pilots in general) one would expect to be piloting advanced star fighters, i suppose this has more to do with the script than the actors themselve but either way they were just wrong, and seen as they were the leads thats a major problem. The ending was something of an anticlimax to but then thats common to alot of films. The Good: pretty much everything else, reenacting a space age pearl harbour at the start was brilliant, and the genral idea of transfering WWII ideas to deep space was an exceptionally fine touch, ok it wasn't exactly believable, but still more believable then star trek and a dozen other sci fi films. The rest of the characters were good other then the leads especially jurgun prochnow(i wander if this charater is a distant grandson of his character in das boot?), david suchet and the french guy (cant spell his name), special effects were good, and nice tension. If the leads were passable instead of bad i would have given it 4 or 5 stars.

Summary: the game series has been scarred
Review: Here's the deal, I actually LOVE the video games. Even the newer ones with all the video in them have presented fun gameplay and good stories.

Unfortunately, this film left me with such a bad taste that I can barely compare it to the games. Avoid this one. Halfway through I was ready to leave the theare (unfortunately I was with friends who wanted to stay).

I could literaly watch ever scene of this movie and point out bad acting, bad special effects, and just plain ludicrous science at work (ships crash in outerspace but do not float?). Anyway, listen to what everyone has been telling you and avoid this movie.

Play the great games instead.

Summary: The HORROR!~!~!
Review: Some things in life will make you question God's sanity. This is one of them. If, while viewing it, you experience a dull pain behind your eyes--not to worry, that's just your brain slowly dying from exposure to such a vacuum of intelligence as this film is. I sincerely doubt that whomever wrote this script even had a central nervous system, much less a brain. Please, for my sake, for your brain's sake, avoid this "movie".

Summary: Give it some credit
Review: I'm a big fan of the Wing Commander series. I've played the games, read the books, collected the cards. Sure in the movie it wasn't like the games. You have to remember it was a low budget movie. The special effects were cool and the characters were unique. Wing Commander is better then most of the science fiction movies out there.

Summary: Oh, God. Please kill me.
Review: I work at a video store. I got Wing Commander for free, but strangely, I still feel ripped off. Horrible acting (except from Protchnow and Burroughs), story, effects and an overall lack of energy make this one of the worst films I've ever seen. I want the 90 minutes of my life back.

Summary: So Bad, I have erased it from my mind
Review: I find most movies tolerable, and once I have seen the beginning, I almost NEVER turn one off. (I jsut have to see how it ends.) This movie was the exception. I sat through this entire movie in the movie theater, (an empty movie theater at that) and I have no idea what it was about. There was no plot to speak of, and basically the entire thing stunk! I would've walked out, except that my boyfriend insisted that we stay just in case the new star wars trailer was at the end. I am writing this review to try to save someone the disappointment, and loss of money and tiem, of seeing this movie.
