Summary: Worst movie ever
Review: I'm totally serious, this is by far the worst movie I have ever seen. Everything is done badly. And I mean everything.

First, the special effects are pathetic. It may look good on the commercial, but way until you watch it for real. The space battle scenes are some of the worst directed footage in the history of cinema. You simply cannot figure out what is going on. The camera just shakes and slides. Consequently, the action is pathetic. I've played 8-bit video games that were more exciting than watching this.

Second, you don't even get to see the bad guys until like an hour in. You don't even know who they're fighting! What kind of sham is that?

Third, this movie has political correctness multiplied exponentially. You get feminism like it's going out of style. And it's really obnoxious. Indeed, I think they wanted to drive you crazy with it.

Fourth, because of the flaming P.C., you get terrible characters. And the ones that aren't agenda-driven, like Freddie Prinze, couldn't act to save their lives.

Fifth, the story is so absurd you'll be wishing they got Akiva Goldsman (Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Lost in Space).

In conclusion, this movie is pure pain to watch. It takes for what feels like an eternity to get to the end. And there is absolutely no payoff at the end, whatsoever.

Please, don't be fooled by some of the high ratings on this board. This is not what you think it is. It is, indeed, the worst movie ever. If you thought Joel Schumacher's films were bad, you ain't seen nothin' yet!

Summary: They should've left it as a video game...
Review: "Wing Commander" is an extremely terrible film based on the popular video game. Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Matthew Lillard are both equally bad in their roles, however, Saffron Burrows does all right, considering what she had to work with. The story is dumb, the directing is horrible, the special effects are low class, and the dialogue is absolutely ridiculous. As my title states, they should have left it as a video game!

Summary: Not too shabby.
Review: Being one of those movies based on a popular video game, with post-teen idols, I thought this one was gonna suck. Then one day I decided to rent it and have a good laugh, but it wasn't bad at all. Not incredibly gory or vulgar, and just an enjoyable space action flick, like a lot of the box office hits that are never nominated for awards.

Summary: Very good movie
Review: While simplistic in plot and the such, Wing Commander is a very good movie that is enjoyable to watch. The special effects are quite alright, and the acting along with it. While it would of been nice to have the original full version of the movie including the traitor plot included on the DVD release plus an anamorphic 16x9 transfere, for now us Wing Commander fans will have to settle on what has been given to us.

The price of freedom is an eternal vigilance.

Summary: Big on story
Review: Wing Commander the movie was all that I hoped it would be. I think the games are great, and when I heard about the movie I though cool two hours of story line. One of the things that set the games apart from others is the fact that they make sure the story is important to the missions that you have to fly. A movie is not a flight simulator and therefore the story will be much more important. For those of you who feel that Wing Commander sucks I belive that you are the kind of people will skip the opening movie to a new game or will miss some important part of the game and be stuck for hour simply because you have no appreation for a good story.

Summary: Submarines Spotted Off Earth Orbit
Review: Despite the fact that Wing Commander is basically just a World War II submarine movie flung into the future, it's still very good. I was disappointed with the Kilrathi costumes (the ones in the game are better), but I loved the starships and the human costumes. I was really impressed with the special effects and script as well. I can, however, see where some people might think this movie wasn't all that good. The casting was slightly less than ideal, and fans of the game (myself included) would most likely be disappointed that the movie lacked Mark Hamill, John Rhys-Davies and Malcom McDowell. I, however, feel that David Suchet and Matthew Lillard more than makes up for their absence. So, aside from the costumes and the casting (though the acting was excellent), I see absolutely no problems with Wing Commander.

Summary: This was stupid
Review: This is the dumbest movie ever. The special effects were ok, but that didn't help it. The script is stupid, the characters are stupid, and the ship design is stupid (Why are they using bullets?). The movie ends and you think that there should be at least another 10 minutes. This movie should be avoided like The Plague.

Summary: I want my money back (and I saw it for free)
Review: This is absolutely the worst, headache inducing, pain staking, horribly plotted, poorly produced, lowest production values in the world pieces of junk I have ever seen. It almost drove me to suicide, and almost made me want to burn the tape (and I worked at the video store I rented it from at the time).... the director should be shot, repeatedly. He is definitely going on my Pupi Avati list of worst directors of all time. The real clincher is: I got the movie for free, and I feel that the video store owes "me" something!

Summary: Stay Away!
Review: One of the worst movies I've seen in my 30-odd years. If you took STAR WARS, mixed it with STAR TREK, took out all the good parts and had a 12 year old video-game addict that thinks swearing is "cool" to write the script you'd probably still be able to put together a movie that is better than WING COMMANDER. Avoid at all costs.

Summary: How could you understand this movie?
Review: I do not ever understand how anyone could get anything from this film. I have watched over 200 movies that year. I watched this and I could not figure out what the enemy is trying to do until he's dead. I'm guessing it's because I haven't played this video game before but if that's so, then this movie's only for those fans. I hope the video game isn't as boring and dry as the movie.
