Summary: EXCELLENT PICTURE AND SOUND, BUT LACKS PLOT AND CHARACTERS
Review: This DVD depicts a fictional battle for the earth between the "Confederation" and the "Kilrabi" (Think the Federation and the Klingons). The movie is visually stunning with excellent definition and color saturation. The 5.1 Dolby Digital Soundtrack is of reference quality and one of the best I have heard on DVD. Unfortunately, the plot is very poorly developed and the movie is populated by people who you care absolutely nothing about. The story is almost non-existent. This is a disc you rent to enjoy for its wonderful soundtrack which really defines the benefits of 5.1 digital sound, but after having seen it once you don't need to own it.

Review: Wing Commander is the sci-fi movie to come around in a long time. Besides Star Wars it is the best to ever be made. It had the depth of character that a lot of sci-fi films lack because they depend on special effects to sell them to the public. Wing Commander used its story to bring the viewer into the film. The special effects were used as a back up to the story. Wing Commander is the kind of film that is rare to see because it brings you to see not from its big srars or effects, but because you wish to see how the story will turn out. It makes you love it and all of the people who helped to make such a glorious film.It is a jem amung films today.

Review: I LIVE IN THE GREAT STATE OF CALIFORNIA!THIS MOVIE TOTALLY BORED ME! THIS MOVIE GETS A BIG "0" NOT A "1" FROM ME. I COULDN'T GO NO LESS THAN ONE, BECAUSE I COULDN'T GO LESS ON HERE, I DON'T KNOW WHY? THIS WAS A VERY STUPID MOVIE. THE PLOT WAS TERRIBLE, WHO WAS THE IDIOT WHO WROTE THIS GARBAGE? THE ACTORS COULD HAVE BEEN ENJOYABLE, BUT THEY WEREN'T. THE ACTING WAS OK, BUT NONETHELESS THE FILM WAS TERRIBLE. THE SPECIAL EFFECTS WEREN'T EVEN ALL THAT GOOD. THE SO CALLED "BAD GUYS" IN THE MOVIE WERE SO COMICAL I LAUGHED BECAUSE THEY WERE SO CHEESY! THEY WERE NO LESS THAN A LION'S HAED ON A SMALL BODY, AND THEY CALL THAT "ALIEN". I MEAN, WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS HOLLYWOOD COMING UP WITH THESE DAYS. THEY MAKE IT LOOK SO GOOD IN THE PREVIEWS SO THAT YOU CAN SAY: "WOW, THAT LOOKS GOOD, I'M GOING TO SEE IT". SO THEY CAN FOOL YOU TO MAKE THEIR MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND WALK AWAY LAUGHING. WHEN THE ACTION SEQUENCES ACTUALLY MADE IT IN THE MOVIE, I WAS SAYING TO MYSELF "OK, HERE COMES THE GOOD PART", THE SCENE ENDED BEFORE IT STARTED. I SAW THIS MOVIE WHEN I WAS IN THE MOVIE THEATER A WHILE BACK, AND IT BORED ME SO MUCH I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE. WHEN I SAW IT IN THE THEATER, THERE WERE STAR WARS PREVIEWS BEFORE IT. AND LET ME TELL YOU SOME THING: THERE WAS 100 TIMES MORE ACTION IN THE 2 MINUTES OF "THE PHANTOM MENACE" THAN IN THE WHOLE 2 HOURS OF "WING COMMANDER", THAT IS HOW LAME THIS MOVIE IS. MAYBE WHEN THE THE MAKERS OF WING COMMANDER SEE THE PHANTOM MENACE THEY WILL SEE WHAT "GOOD" FILMAKING IS! FOR AN ACTION MOVIE OF COURSE. ALL I HAVE TO SAY TO THE MAKERS OF WING COMMANDER: I WANT MY 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE BACK YOU STUPID NO TALENT PEOPLE! THIS MOVIE WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, TWO THUMBS WAY DOWN FOR ME! Summary: quite possibly the worst ever...
Review: Okay, we were in Nashville and I wanted to see a movie that had the Episode 1 preview before it. The girl at the box office said that Wing Commander was the only one that had it. She obviously didn't know what she was talking about because it wasn't on there. If only it had I could have justified the money I spent on seeing this really awful movie. We applauded when one of the main characters was killed. We almost got up and left, but one of my friends was taking a nap and we didn't want to disturb him.

Review: There are some dreadful flaws in this film. But as we all know by now, Wing Commander wasn't directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Given the lack of budget and the inexperienced director, Wing Commander still turns out to be enjoyable fluff.

Review: An ok movie for the average sci-fi fan but the only people who can really appreciate it are Wing Commander fans. They will be kinda disappointed though. I would also recommend to wait for the price to go lower than 30 schamollians.

Review: This was the most awful movie I have ever seen. Freddie Prinze's acting range goes from stupified...to dumbfounded! The plot is nonexistant and the characters are virtually unlikeable, much less well developed! The only reason to watch this movie in the theater was for the Episode 1 preview. Now that it's almost out on video, save a few precious moments of your life and just go see Star Wars.

Review: Wing Commander was great! After nearly ten years of games, WC finally made the leap to movies. WC is a wonderful diversion for fans and newcomers to the series. It starts relatively early in the WC series, yet doesn't rehash old events. Don't miss it. :)
