Summary: Exceptional, Classic Gangster movie
Review: This is one of the most treasured and classic gangster movies of all time. Pacino at his best!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best over the top role in history.
Review: This movie is one of my favorites. It has the best over the top role in the history of film. You really thought that Al Pacino was a refugge from Cuba in the Cuban crime wave. I know that there arn't much films that represent this subject but this is the best. The only thing that bothered me was the infamous "chainsaw" scene. (Those people who saw the film know what i'm talking about.

Summary: You wanna know how much this movie rocks...
Review: I have seen this movie about eleven times, and I still would not mind watching it again. This movie was the one to start a lot of stereotypes about Cuban's. Al Pacino, playing the character of Antonio Montana, made this movie as popular as it is today. He has the ability to go all out, and that's exactly what he does in this movie, He goes all out. But I don't love this movie for the explosions, I love this movie for the story. The way everything seems to turn against "Antonio Montana" is just amazing. So i would say that if you are thinking of buying this video, go for it, because it is wel worth the money. Doesn't matter if you like Action in the movies you watch, or if you like story, This movie has got it all. I would give this movie 5 stars out of 5. I think it is Al Pacino's best movie...EVER.

Summary: A movie that will last forever
Review: This movie is the stepping stone for all other mafia, and drug movies. Al Pacino's performace was excellent, and the storyline was just as interesting. And when you put all the other characters together, you have a film that is complete, and can withstand the test of time.

Summary: A Poor Movie That Is Crude Enough To "Scar" A Viewer
Review: I saw Brian DePalma's "Scarface" in a theater when I was a big fan of violent action movies. "Scarface" is one of DePalma's very worst movies.

Cuban refugee Tony Montana(Al Pacino) becomes a drug dealer in Florida. Montana rises to power as a cocaine kingpin but his success is only short-lived.

"Scarface" is Brian DePalma's second worst film after "Raising Cain." The viewers don't develop any real concern for Al Pacino's character. In such masterpieces as "Carrie" and "Dressed To Kill," DePalma brilliantly combined lurid sexual motifs with the graphic violence taking place in the films. In "Scarface," DePalma attempts to interweave themes regarding incest into the violent storyline but these efforts are hollow and heavy-handed. DePalma's film is raunchy and crude to the point of being farcical. The movie probably has more swearing than any film in the history of cinema. As a crime film, "Scarface" has none of the decency and intelligence that is evident in the work of Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese. One of the movie's few redeeming features is an AWESOME one-man-versus-an-entire-army action sequence towards the end of the film.

"Scarface" is nothing more than a foul-mouthed, trashy, and forgettable film. The movie is only for diehard Al Pacino fans, people who merely want to see violent action, and those who feel that they need to see every Brian DePalma film. For DePalma's best crime film, see "The Untouchables."

Summary: WOULD YOU KISS ME IF I WEAR THE HAT!?
Review: This is one of the greatest movies of all time and the AFI top 100 movies of all time refuses to acknowledge it. Al Pacino deserved an oscar for his portrayal of Tony Montana, the movie deserved an oscar for something yet this movie is constantly overlooked by all critics, but the cult following that it has amassed is by far more telling of it's popularity than sheer box office numbers. ask anyone on the street and they'll tell you Scarface is one of the best movies ever made, and if they don't think so they haven't seen it. So sit back, crack some hennessy and alize, light up a cigar, and enjoy one of the best movies ever made!

Summary: 100% Classic
Review: "Scarface" is without a doubt one of the best movies of the past 25 years for many reasons. As seen in this special edition DVD, it pushed the envelope to the point of tearing it wide open. "Scarface" doesn't just succeed because of shock value, though; It's actually a very enthralling story because of the plot and because of the character created by screenwriter Oliver Stone and brought to life by Al Pacino in one of the most memorable performances ever in a movie. Its supporting characters and also the fact that it was based loosely on actual events further the film and serve to make it more real and gripping. The violence, drug abuse, profanity, and glitzy Miami setting all complete the film by showing the insane world that Tony Montana has created for himself.

The plot basically shows the rise and fall of Tony Montana from coming to America on a "Banana Boat" to eventually getting gunned down in his mansion. Along the way, he lives the American dream by buying nice material possesions and getting a trophy wife who is more trouble than she's worth. Despite the serious subject matter of the film, there is plenty of levity in Pacino's performance and in his now famous one liners. "Scarface" proves to be a captivating and shocking journey through one man's vision of the American dream.
