Summary: I thought it was great.
Review: While this isn't a block buster, the special effects and Rock's winning :P personality make this one worth having in the collection.

Summary: Seen it before
Review: I went into this movie hoping for soemthing, I got nothing. I thought hey maybe the rock can act that is such an over statement, this movie is horrible beginning to end. I used to lvoe wrestling but even that couldn't save this title. The stroy has been done 80 times before all better. If you want to persue a career in interogation show people this movie it will make them talk, its just that horrible.

Summary: A stand-up kind of barbarian
Review: The CONAN THE BARBARIAN sequel fans have been clamoring for in all but name, this fast-paced bit of good-natured idiocy tells the backstory of the Scorpion King, whose fearsome reputation was established in THE MUMMY RETURNS (2001).

Five thousand years ago, a ruthless conqueror named Memnon (Steven Brand) swept across the Middle East, slaughtering all who stood in his path. An uneasy coalition of displaced, decimated tribes hires three Akkadian mercenaries - the last of their tribe - to kill Memnon's sorceress, the beauteous Cassandra (Kelly Hu). Once the seer, whose visions have led Memnon to one victory after another, is dead, the tribes will band together and face Memnon's armies on a level playing field.

Head mercenary Mathayus (professional wrestler The Rock) is quickly caught up in a series of betrayals and counter-betrayals that lead him to kidnap Cassandra, adopt a charming street urchin (Branscombe Richmond) and a comical horse thief (Grant Heslov), and forge unlikely alliances with Nubian warrior Balthazar (Michael Clarke Duncan) and nutty inventor Philos (Bernard Hill), whose workshop is filled with cool stuff like catapults and gunpowder.

For all of its up-to-the-minute stylistic affectations - rapid-fire editing, heavy metal music, CGI effects, and WWF-style flips, body slams and head butts - this free-wheeling adventure captures the spirit of cheesy, Arabian Nights-style romps of the '40s and '50s. It's filled with scantily dressed harem girls, muscle-bound warriors, exotic street fairs, fire ants, fabulous desert cities and a super-smart trained camel - all that's missing is a genie.

And it never takes itself too seriously, which is a blessing: Nonsense of this kind played for Nietzschean über-menschery is embarrassing. This movie's Scorpion King-to-be is a far nicer fellow than the one who appeared to brief-but-memorable effect in THE MUMMY RETURNS. Sure, he's a trained killer who murders for money, but he respects ladies, is kind to children and never, ever goes back on his word - all in all, a stand-up kind of barbarian.

It's impossible to overstate how deeply dumb all of this is, but it skims along at a brisk clip and manages not to overdo the nudge-nudge, wink-wink humor.

Review: Even if a lot of people thought that the movie was bad, well i want to say that in one hand they are right but on the other ther are completly WRONG!!!
This is one of the most ecstatic movie i've ever see.The actors are too funny(The rock,Steven Brand and Mickael Clarke Duncan are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Moreover it's incredible but 100% of the woman of the movie are GREAT!!!!

Summary: At its least, the movie is entertaining.
Review: Ah, the return of the muscle-bound hero! This movie does a good job of riding into the theaters on the coattails of the popular Mummy series and does an okay job of keeping the audience entertained. Still, not as good as the "Mummy" movies due to its lack of quality acting (although Johnson wasn't nearly as bad as I feared he would be) and its lack of witty dialogue. The movie is simply not that well written or clever. I like the Conan the Barbarian possibilities for Johnson though and I can easily see him moving on to super stardom in very Arnold-esque roles. Overall, this is a good action, fantasy film that Xena/Hercules types will enjoy. At its least, the movie is entertaining.

Review: The Mummy was incredible.
The Mummy sequel was even great.
This just stunk.

Summary: Good action flick, but that's it
Review: There comes a point early in The Scorpion King where the hero, who is known as The Arcadian (The Rock), stands face to face with his ultimate enemy. The next action that should occur is obvious. The Rock will spit in the villain's face, Rock Bottom him to the ground, and finish him off with the People's Elbow. Now, as you may have guessed, this does not happen, but that's probably because the movie takes place 5000 years ago somewhere in Egypt, rather than on the set of WWF Raw. Still, it's a good thing this fact wasn't taken too seriously, or else The Scorpion King would have lost some of its best moments (fire-ants & well... you know). There's some decent action, a few big laughs, and a lot of hot chicks. I don't love movies like this, but I love what they are: big, loud, dumb, macho, expensive, and complete guilty pleasures.

Summary: Muscle action goes all out
Review: What can I say? This is just pure muscle fantasy. If you can get past the point that the villian of The Mummy Returns is now a hero (how did that happen?), they you can deal wit any of the other ridiculous things that happen in this movie. Acting aside, there are several well choreographed action scenes which will make this a must have for action fans. If you're the kind of person who enjoyed the Conan movies, then you'll love this because it's Conan plus real special effects! It'll be right up your alley. This movie isn't going to win any awards, but you'll have fun watching it.

Summary: Mirza Memic

Summary: Alot of fun!
Review: In comparing The Rock with Vin Diesel, The Rock can at least not embarass himself with his acting. He does a pretty decent job of acting. The only that worried me was the beginning of the movie. Though action packed, I was scared this was gonna be corny. But it turned out to be a decent story with great action and some super stunts. This movie gets rolling and never quits. The action gets very intense, there are some very funny moments, and a little romance. Overall, I think this movie is very cool and will keep your attention throughout.
