Summary: Brilliant!
Review: I am so happy they finally released this on DVD! I was just a child when it came out in the Theatre and my dad took me to see it. Even then I was mesmerized. It is breathtaking! It was low budget with very few special effects and yet the story was extremely entertaining. What made this movie so unqiue was the constant use of Native American language. The other reviews are much more in depth in covering the story. I just wanted to mention how much this movie means to me and how I think anyone who watches it will enjoy it!

Summary: What A Great Great Great Film!
Review: I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it. It's my all time favorite. There are no others. The cinematography and screenplay is the best I have ever seen. Even though the film is not new, it views like one. I watch it over an over again. It ranks in my opinion as one of the top 10 movies of all time. Get this one, you absolutely will be spellbound and blown away! The price for this one is a real bargain.

Review: i first saw this show back in 1981. however, the video tape that we had kind of ran out before the show ends and i never knew what finally happened. since then, i have been looking for this movie. many thanks to amazon for making it possible for me to finally closed the chapter on this wonderful movie.this movie is totally outstanding in its eye for details, non-stereotyping and use of cheyenne and crow languages! in my view, this movie rank along with Ruth Beebee Hill's book "hanta yo" as one of the best portrays native americans lives

Summary: been looking for this for 23 years
Review: I have been looking for this movie for 23 years. I saw it in the theater when I was 17, and have never been able to forget it. I was just telling my husband about it (again, I bring it up evey few years) and I decided to try to look for it again. I am ecstatic that it is now available for purchase. I love anything having to do with Indians but this movie is something that touches your soul. You must see it. You will never see life the same again.

Review: I have been waiting for what seems an eternity for the DVD of this movie. Like everyone else who has reviewed it, it is among a very small number of moving, inspiring, and haunting movies. It traverses that narrow ledge between maudlin and mawkish, yet never falls over. I never cry watching movies. I cried.

Review: I like this movie because it eye for detail. The People speak Cheyenne! No saddles, no bridles, no modern knives etc. I think the movie was done in 1977, 22 years ago. It is more then excellent and for me is one of the great movies about the First Nation Peoples. Lila waste lo! Ries
