Summary: Its really not so hot!
Review: I must give this movie a bad review because of the deceptive marketing the poster designers used to get me to see this movie. On the posters I saw the dragons flying from military hellicopters ( like the hellicopters in the movie Godzilla ). There is only one single hellicopter in this entire movie and it is a reconasance hellicopter, not a fighting one. Here are my other complaints:
1) The ending is very cheesy
2) We are never given an explanation on how the dragons were able to stay alive underground.
3) There are no landmarks to make it seem that it is really England.
4) In order to save mankind they must kill one particullar male dragon out of the many 1,000 female dragons. And it takes them an hour and a half to figure that out. Please, give me a break!

Summary: Why did they end it in such a stupid way
Review: Please tell me why. I don't understand. Great movie until the end. Worst ending to a great movie since Planet of the APes(new one). Where are the special effects people at? Hello! Wake Up! And do your job. A sequal must be done with a cool ending.

Summary: Awsome Dragon Movie!!
Review: Reign of Fire was one of the best Dragon Movies I have ever seen. Those dumb dragons in "Dragon Heart" are nothing compared to this movie. The realism with the way the dragons looked was perfect. The acting was well done. The plot was done preety well. The DVD of this movie made it even better. It had great special features like the interview with the director and the behing the secens of the film. The picture quality was great and the sound was just right. This is a DVD you should see.

Summary: Dragons, dragons, dragons
Review: This film was an exceptional action film, but it was also an excellent showcase for some fine acting by all the players. Matthew McConaughey was a realistic fighting man, rough, but sensitive to the plight of his people. The interplay between him and Christian Bale, two strong leaders, was as captivating as the dragon scenes.

Summary: Americans Rule
Review: Although most thought this movie lacked action and contained annoying accents, I found this to be a very entertaining and well written movie. The plot was great. Tunnel diggers waken a beast, in this case a dragon, which scorches the world and spawns millions of these creatures. The action sequences are awesome and the movie is all together great.

Summary: Not that bad
Review: Overall I liked the story, at least it was something new. The acting was decent. Both Christian Bale (American Psycho) and Mathew McConaughey are good actors in their own rights and did a convincing job. McConaughy as a futuristic "dragonslayer" of sorts and Bale simply as a man trying to keep his group of humans, as well as himself, safe from the new flying menace that has taken over the world.

Like most movies, there are a few gaping plot holes (ie: the helicopter and skydivers) but the special effects and overall screenplay may be enough to overlook those incidents.

Summary: Whoops!
Review: This movie really had a good idea I must say but I think they lost it somwhere. Most of the movie relies upon the actors to make it interesting because the dragons are not really a very big focus at least not visually(you don't see them a whole lot). And to my dissapointment the acting was not that great. I really didn't like the storyline and I am sure England would not have either. The movie depicts life in England after the dragons take over and the "English" philosophy of hide until the dragons die off. Then the Americans come over with guns blazing, to be the heroes. Now in the end they do turn this stereotype around which makes the acting even more unnatural (why did they put it there in the first place). I think they did something good, they tried not to make this movie all action packed graphics and tried to rely on acting ability. I think it's good and maybe other directors will begin to realize, yes, acting still is important. As for those of you who want to buy a really good movie, I would suggest renting this one first then buying it.

Summary: Leaping Lizards
Review: Very intense at times and probably the best looking dragons in film. I found the plot a little weak and watching the American mercanary (Matthew McConaughey) make a very foolish tactical mistake by cramming his column into confined space and exposing his troups to the Dragon Lord was ridiculous. Other than that faux pax it was an entertaining movie. Far better than the much maligned Dungeons and Dragons which also had some great dragons but really lousy story and acting.

Summary: Entertaining to an extent.
Review: Reign of Fire has good action, great special effects, and fine performances, but there's little else about the movie that stands out. It feels a little too small-scale given the premise and it never delivers the all-out action it seems to promise. For more enjoyable post-apocalyptic action with Christian Bale, check out Equilibrium instead.

Summary: 3.5-4 Stars
Review: Everyone seems to think that if a movie isn't rated 5 stars then its not any good. However some people seem to forget that 1 is the [bad] rating!
With that said, I wanted to comment that while I'm very much NOT a sci-fi fan, this was a pretty good flic. The dragons were very realistic looking, the special effects were terrific. And while the story was a little less than perfect, the story given was acted out by the cast as best as could be expected. Mathew McConaughey beefed up and shaved his head for this one. This gave him the perfect appearance for his role as a bad @ss merchenary.
The future has been desecrated by the accidental return of dragons who have been hibernating since the dark ages. Now they are running rampant and have all but destroyed the Earth. All their glory and terror has destroyed everything including adequate food sources and they are starving and feeding on everything that they can find, to include humans and even each other. Without spoiling the show, its obvious that the point of the movie is for the humans to survive and destroy the dragons before the humans themselves are extinct.
All in all I'd give this movie a "Good" rating. Not great, but definately not garbage.
