Review: Some believe that Days of Thunder is nothing more than a Top Gun with wheels. This could not be further from the truth. The setting, the plot and the characters are completely different. The is one of the all time best testosterone pumping, high-energy, edge of your seat movies out there. I am very surprised to see that it has not made it to DVD earlier and I am on the waiting list for it. I've had it for years on VHS, and believe that this is one of the best things to happen to DVD. A Must See!

Racing is a fastly-rising sport that should get way more attention than it already does. With the movie Days of Thunder it shows everyone how fun and exciting racing really is. Good Job people!!!

Review: this movie was the next flick to be produced by jerry bruckheimer flick to follow top gun. it's got all the feel that was just a warm up to his latest successes with armageddon, con-air, and the rock. you can't help but enjoy the bad-ass attitudes portrayed by tom cruise, robert duvall and the supporting cast. besides nicole kidman being a total diva, there's actually an enjoyable plot and great race scenes. i haven't ordered the DVD yet, but i've seen the VHS a couple of dozen times, and i can't still get sick of it.

Summary: All right, I admit it -- I like this movie
Review: Yes, the acting is bad. Yes, the dialogue and story are dumb as dirt. Yes, it's a blatant rehash of Tony Scott's other Tom Cruise movie TOP GUN. I'm embarassed to admit it most of the time, but I like DAYS OF THUNDER anyway. It's just one of those movies that's so bad it reaches some kind of critical mass and becomes a weirdo masterpiece. Besides, who couldn't love a movie with characters named Rowdy Burns, Cole Trickle, and Harry Hogg? Yeeehhhaaww! White trash heaven! On the plus side, it does have some seriously awesome racing sequences, Hans Zimmer's overwrought synth score is pretty cool, and Robert Duvall even manages to sell the non-character he's given to play here (proving again that he is one of the greatest actors of all time). Everything else about it is lousy (and that includes Tom "I couldn't act my way out of paper bag" Cruise). See it anyway. You'll feel guilty as hell, but you'll enjoy it.

Review: This movie was the greatest for people who like action. As I watched I felt like I was there racing with Cole Trickle, and with the surprise ending with the cars was absolutely perfect.

Review: This is one of the most fun movies ever made. I love it. Robert Duvall is awesome as, "legendary crew chief Harry Hogg." Every time I watch this movie it just keeps getting better. Cary Elwes also turns in a great performance as Russ Weeler. I highly recomend this movie to anyone that wants to have 2 hours of pointless fun.

Review: Well all I have to say is Top Gun on wheels and that should be enough. Anyone who likes Stock Car racing will notice the obviously un-race like action "rubbin is racin" is true to a point : ) but aerodynamics plays a part also. However folks this is a movie!!! And if you didn't like it, check your pulse : )

Review: Best Buy store managers take note: this is the movie to use to demonstrate home theater systems. It will sell your product. The surround sound effects are great. Also, you can always fast forward past the tepid and predictable boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl plot line to the next great stock car race scene. Robert Duval is not too bad, either.
