Summary: If you love Spidey, just get this DVD!
Review: As a former comic book collector (and former owner of the first 115 or so X-men comics!) I simply had to see this when it came out.

Spidey is done true by this big screen, special effects fest. Tobey Maguire does a convincing Parker as someone stretching his nerd wings with super powers. It is especially gratifying that the origin section with its Spidey as entertainer in the ring with wrestler and subsequent robbery, death of Uncle Ben Parker is kept fully intact with very little alteration whatsoever. (kudos to the filmakers).

If you ever enjoyed a read of your Spiderman comics (particularly as originally created without the unusual "bio-organism" costume) then you should get this DVD. You'll enjoy seeing something as outrageous as a teenager swinging through midtown manhatten.

NOTE: Even J.Jonah Jameson is done to a "T". I would never have believed it if it wasn't there in the movie!

Spidey Lives!

Summary: Spidergirl
Review: My daughters and I bought this for my husband. But it has turned into my 3 year old daughters movie. She loves it, she stays glued to the screen and really gets into it. The bad thing is that she has started trying to climb walls, and has informed us she is spiderman.

Summary: Good film
Review: I have not been a comic book fan since I was a kid. I did like this film though. I like action thrillers, and this was a sci-fi film, but the action was decent. It was better then I thought it would be. If you like action films, pick up the widescreen edition of Spider-Man.

Summary: An Amazing Spider-Man Movie
Review: I've never really been a fan of Spider-Man, so I didn't expect much out of this movie. But it was an awesome movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a matter of fact, the only minor thing about the movie I did not enjoy was the ending and how it sort of just leaves you hanging there a little bit, similar to the ending of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones (which coincidentally was released about the same time as Spider-Man). Unlike the ending of Star Wars, however, you can tell that there will be a sequel to the movie because of the intentional suspense it leaves you in. I'm not saying that the ending of Star Wars doesn't do the same thing as Spider-Man's, but Star Wars' ending just sort of ends without any kind of build-up to it. Spider-Man had all the elements of a good movie. It contains drama, adventure, irony, action, love, and the classic "good versus evil" scenario. I rate Spider-Man with five stars and it deserves every one of them. I can't wait to see the next one!

Summary: A Pretty Good Movie to Start off The Summer
Review: Athough this might not have been my favourite movie I saw this year, I can't sit her and cut it up. Spiderman didn't ever really apply to me because I was never a fan of the comics books. But Tobey Maguire did do an excellent job. He really put a lot of work into his role.So I did have to take that into consideration. But it still wasn't my favourite. But a great kick to the hot movie summer!

Summary: Very Boring
Review: What can I say about Spiderman, besides that I was very disappointed. Some of the CGI was so bad, that as times I thought I was watching a cartoon. The storyline was very weak and didn't seem to go anywhere. And the casting could have been much better. I can't understand why it made 200 million dollars.

Summary: The Perfect Movie
Review: This thrilling film was one of the most magnificent features Marvel has brought to screen. It is about a teenage boy, living in the city, and soon he will realize how it is to be known as a world famous super hero from the sky. With action and romance, I'd defnetly give this movie 5 stars and hope whoever hasn't seen it, see it now! Enjoy.

Summary: quality film
Review: Spider-Man is a really good movie if you ask me. I went to see it twice and got the DVD the day it came out. It's a great film. Tobey Maguire plays a good Spiderman. He's pretty dorky as Peter Parker, but that makes him seem even more unlikely to be a super hero, which makes it so great. The first fight scene, when Peter is fighting with that guy, Flash, is really well done, especially when Maguire is dodging the punches in slow motion. Also, I think that the costums of Spiderman and the Green Goblin are really cool. The Green Goblin's mask is awesome. My only problem with the movie is that it takes a while for it to really get going. It's not until about half way through the movie that Spiderman begins to battle witht he Green Goblin. But once it gets going, it's a really good movie.

Summary: Packed with loads of goodies
Review: Having wondered how some of the tricks of the trade were handled and some shots were filmed with all the special effects, I really enjoyed the commentaries available on the audio tracks, as well as the spidey pop-ups done in VH1 pop-up video fashion. For those of you who watch t.v. as much as movies on dvd/video- you'll know what I'm talking about. The pop-ups really told me some quite interesting facts about the movie and not just all the technical mumbo-jumbo, but the little things about the movie that you never would have thought to consider asking about. I watched the dvd 3 times in a row and each time it was like watching a different movie. The added features with the cd-rom portion on it are quite cool as well, being able to record your own commentary. I liked the movie a lot but I liked the dvd a lot more. All in all, for the average price you will pay, buying Spiderman is worth the buck. You can't go wrong.

Summary: Buy This Movie!!!
Review: I loved this movie!! Tobey Maguire makes a perfect Peter Parker, and Kirstin Dunst is great as Mary Jane. I was surprised that it was more than just a superhero comic flick. Watch this movie... I'm sure you'll love it!!!
