Summary: WAY BETTER THAN JOHN CARPENTERS "VAMPIRES"
Review: This was the only thing playing at the time I went to the theater back when it first opened. It wasn't on my to see list but I watched it anyways. It is AWESOME. The special effects are amazing and the story is super. At least buy the VHS version of this movie, you will NOT be disappointed.

Summary: Best DVD and an Awesome movie too.
Review: This is absolutely the best DVD I've seen (and I've seen many), providing the best transfer, sound, features, etc. Truly a great value for the money, and on top of that, you have an awesome movie to match it. This movie rocks, big time. It has its flaws like all movies. The story is a bit dragged out, especially towards the end, but it does not diminish the overall quality and entertainment of the entire film.

YOU MUST BUY this DVD. You will not be sorry. The features alone are more than worth the price. At least rent it, you must see the difference. Trust me, after seeing this DVD, you will measure all others by it. It really is that good. You'll love the film too. Finally, Marvel Comics did something right when it comes to films. Hopefully, they'll do it this good with SpiderMan or the X-men which are coming soon (We might get lucky, James Cameron is interested in doing SpiderMan).

Summary: I never read the comics, but still a very impressive movie.
Review: Like I said in the one-liner, I never read the comics. Thus, I attributed more similarities to the venerable anime 'Vampire Hunter D' than to anything else. The combat sequences and plot are signifigantly different, but the equipment, characters, and misc. madness are approximated quite well. Both D and Blade are half-vampires (a 'vampiel' or 'dhampire,' whichever you prefer) and use the same weapons (although D never used a gun) Reiginsei's bladed boomerang was chopped down to a chatkcha, which Blade uses several times in a most impressive fashion. The sword is Blade's favorite weapon, secondary only to an Uzi heavily modified by Krestofferson (there was no human vampire hunter in VHD, so I compared him to the hero [Belmont] of the Castlevania game series, which is a spinoff of VHD) Decon Frost is analagous to Magnus Lee of VHD, but they have such vastly different personalities that they share only their vampiric nature and their overall villan-ness. Overall, it's an excellent action movie which is not lacking in plot.

Summary: Vampire of the new Millenium
Review: It seems that vampires have come of the times and are trying to adapt themselves to the new genre.

Summary: I liked it, but the bloody scenes were a little overdone.
Review: I loved the movie. Blade has always been a favorite comic book hero of mine and I think Westley Snipes played him perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was that, when my apernets watched it and saw all the bloody scenes (such as the night club in the beginning and the people that get bit all through the movie) and they took the tape I bought with my hard-earned money and threw it in the trash can!! I think that they should have toned those scenes down some.

Summary: Blade - How Comic Book heros should be...
Review: Blade has the very best opening sequence I have ever seen in any film. Just the thought of dancing in BLOOD is very cool and Blades appearance and subsequent killing spree makes it fantastic to watch. Wesley Snipes is in fantastic form and brings a Comic Book hero to life in a way that it should be. Blade is the film that Batman, Spawn and the like should have been. Stephen Dorff is also excellent as Frost and moves through the film will a coolness that rivals Snipes. Kristoffesen also has a very good, cynical "can't stand vampires" cameo. The best feature of the film though is the sheer style and fluid nature of it. From the outset, if you watch carefully, the "vampire" characters move slightly differently, the scenes are choreographed in a very comic book style, fluid and smooth. The characters represent those portrayed in the comic book as well, this is Punisher meets Batman and no remorse, there is no time for worrying about hurting the bad guys. On the down side the plot does get a little stretched, it tries to incorporate too many plot lines in too short a time. The silliest being the Dr's "cure" for vampirism which was a little annoying. On the whole though this is a fabulously executed and well played comic book yarn that leaves you satisfied come the end. If you only see one film this decade, forget Star Wars, see Blade.

Summary: Bloody Amazing!
Review: This is one of the few vamp movies out there that keeps you on your toes through the entire movie. Blade is way up there on my top vampire movie list of all time along with Interview with the Vampire and Dracula. If your a vampire freak like me or just an action movie buff, take my word for it, you'll love this movie! And the cast is HOT!

Summary: Superlative Film to DVD Transfer
Review: This is definitely one of the best transfers to DVD I have seen (and I've seen many dozens). If you are new to DVD, definitely buy or rent it - you will be impressed.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is the best movie on vampires that exists.
Review: This movie creates a supernatural aura of science fiction
