Summary: "magical and breathtaking"
Review: When I saw the previews of this film, I knew I had to see it. I was not disappointed! The combination of the superb acting and gorgeous scenary was truly Magical. I was especially delighted by Zip, the red-blue heeler. After renting this movie 4 times , I broke down and bought it--- One of my all-time favorites, up there with Dances with Wolves!

Summary: This movie is fascinating!
Review: This movie provides a fascinating look at the Cheyenne Indians, how they lived, and what their life would be like if they still existed today. It really helps you to see and understand Native Americans. If you have any intrest in history and-or Native Americans I would definatly recomend this movie to you.

Summary: One of the greatest movies I have seen - Loved it!!
Review: I don't know what I liked best, Tom Berenger or the story behind the movie. Both were extremely compelling to watch. The tension/soon to be love between the two main characters was so intriguing that I couldn't walk away from the TV for one moment. If anyone hasn't seen a really great love/historic/adventure/scenic/great movie in a long time - check this one out, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Awesome movie;I could watch it anytime!
Review: This is just one of those movies that I watched every time it came on HBO,so I thought I'd break down and buy it.Even with the cheesy narration, this is a classic tale of man AND a woman's search for something better in this cold, uncaring world.I love the idea of a tribe of Indians living in the wilderness away from the modern world, and I'm quite sure this could be possible in real life;who really knows what's out there?Thumbs up to Berrenger and Hershey for making their roles believable!Awesome movie;highest reccomendation!

Summary: Fantastic Movie! Where's the DVD?
Review: My roommate is a native american buff, and was watching this movie as I was gettting home one day. I sat down and watched it with him on a whim.

Wow.

This wondrous tale of innocence lost and found again is something that I'll never get tired of. Sure, the narration by Wilfred Brimley may not have been necessary, but you know what? It certainly doesn't detract from the film, and the film is simply amazing in it's own right.

Tom Berenger and Barbara Hershey are a fantastic and I'm glad that I got a chance to see this film. I've now seen it three times, and I'm really hoping that it's released on DVD so I can purchase it.

Review: Excellent performances by Tom Berenger and Barbara Hershey, and narration by Wilford Brimley was appropriate and very enjoyable. As was the scenery. -

Summary: Don't miss this one! You'll want to see it again!
Review: Great movie! I'm a 4th generation Colorado native, I know our history is forever tied to Col. Chivington and the Sand Creek Massacre. I urge all who read this to dig farther into that terrible event to understand how our expansionist attitude destroyed many civilizations. Thank you, Tab, for this movie about hope and sacrificing for what we love and believe in. I'd like to talk to you about what happened to that area recently. (Chivington Ranch) I liked the narration by Wilford Brimley, and once again the people make the best critics, NOT Leonard Maltin in his little closet of the world. Leonard, go back to sleep and we'll wake you when the credits roll on the next great movie.

Summary: Magical, moving, wonderful
Review: This has jumped to the top of my favorite movie list. I stumbled upon it late one night, and was completely captivated by the end of the movie. The storyline is an interesting take on something that COULD happen, and it weaves reality into the pursuit of the fantasy. Well acted and directed, and wholesome for the entire family. The scenery is perfect for the story, and I ALSO recommend the soundtrack. A tremendous piece of work. Thanks, Tab.
