Summary: Why can't I put more stars?!?
Review: WOW!!! Pacino and DeNiro in a first rate motion picture. Focus on characters was excellent, action sequences were hair-raising, and the dialogue was right-on. My wife and I watch this at least every other month. What an incredible film.

Summary: Action Thriller
Review: I've seen this action pack thriller on DVD format and stars were magnificent. This is the only movie that Al Pacino and Robert De Niro plays opposite role and they did theyre homework just to please the audience. This DVD is already part of my all time collections and I do recommend this for movie enthusiast and see it for yourself.

Summary: One Of the Greatest Gangster Films
Review: I recall seeing this in the theater without even knowing what it was about. As my title implies, I was very much impressed. Heat has stellar preformances from across the board and a storyline with more depth than most films in recent times. In a way, Heat is almost Shakespearian in structure thanks to a wonderful screenplay from director Michael Mann. Definitely a terrific piece of modern filmmaking.

Summary: A 13 year olds perspective,
Review: This movie starts out with an unbelievable scene of action. THe cast in this movie is uncanny and the acting that these wonders portray is so intense. I am 13 years old and rented this movie along with silence of the lambs. I watched silence first and was frightened to death. I then turned on heat, i totaly forgot of my fears and was so intensified with the power in this movie. I only give this movie 4 stars because i would have liked it more if there was more violence. Parents- let your kids see this movie to show the dangers they need to watch out from. Kids- if your parents dont let you rent this, rent it at a friends house. This is a great movie, with superb acting and a gripping story line.

Summary: Two words....
Review: Totally awesome. I was blown away by the plot of this movie, not to mention the cinematography of which the way this film was shot. The the best part about this movie? It's really, really long. Pop this baby in your 5.1/6.1 HT system, and you'll be saying Wow faster than the way gasoline are going up in the past month in California.

Summary: INTRICATE, COMPLEX, EMOTIONAL & HEART-POUNDING! WOW!
Review: This is one of the best action dramas I've EVER seen. It crescendos into a huge climax that is nothing short of BRILLIANT! HEAT has all the components in my opinion of a movie masterpiece. It moved me so that at the end of the movie, I immediately wrote a poem about it off the top of my head.

Pacino and De Niro play two men on opposite sides of the law that are both one hundred and ten percent dedicated to their work. Al is the cop, Robert the "bad guy." I must say he is the easiest "bad guy" to not only like but respect.

As the movie progresses the viewer discovers that Vincent (Al) and Neil (Robert) have more in common than anyone, especially they, realize. Chapter 26 "An invitation to coffee" and Chapter 27 "A couple of regular fellows" is unlike anything I've ever seen, totally original and amazing. Vincent: "I don't know how to do anything else."/Neil: "Neither do I."/ Vincent: "I don't much want to either."/Neil: "Neither do I."

For the true action lovers out there, this is your movie! Chapters 3, 4, 15, 30-33 and the ending are for you! Regardless of your favorite type of movie, you will appreciate this one. THIS IS ESSENTIAL VIEWING! DO NOT MISS THIS MOVIE!

All the actors in this movie are top knotch: Val Kilmer ("For me, the sun rises and sets without me.") Jon Voight, Ashley Judd, Amy Brenneman, Tom Sizemore,...I repeat EVERYONE! However, the character Waingro, to me is the main conflict in here that makes the movie so memorable. Without him things would have been so much smoother for De Niro...but then it wouldn't have been so great a movie with such a remarkable ending. BRAVO TO MICHAEL MANN!

BLINDED BY THE LIGHT

Blinded by the Light; What is wrong or right? So compelling, can't keep score, Doesn't matter anymore.

Heat lasts until the end. On your life the choices you make Depend.

What is wrong or right? Good triumphs because wrong is Blinded by the Light.

Summary: Daylight robbery.
Review: Excellent Character study and development,spot-on editing, well Written and Directed,Impressive all-round performances, especially by the leads,De-Niro and Pacino.Pacino plays an L.A.cop,who lives by a manic obsession for his job,De-Niro plays a master thief, who lives also by a total dedication, and the ultimately fatal rule of "one more job".Some great, memorable scenes including:The after-robbery shoot-out in broad daylight, and the unforgettable final chase, means "Heat" exceeds far above the usual empty headed spectacle, and emerges a winner,in every respect.*4.5 for the film. Picture quality:Excellent.Could not find any faults at all,in any form.Original Aspect Ratio,2.35:1.*4.5/5. Sound quality:Again,no problems. The after-robbery shoot-out inparticular, totally mindblowing.*4.5/5.Overall,Great film and presentation/sound.For the price, expecting more extras than three trailers would have been a crime,in fact it would have been robbery, daylight robbery.

Summary: Top-notch DVD experience
Review: Heat is without question the best movie I own. Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro both turn in quality performances with the aid of Val Kilmer and others(ok, maybe they could have left out Henry Rollins). The picture and sound are both excellent, there are four or five outstanding action sequences which utilize the complete 5.1 audio spectrum. Of particular note is the bank heist shootout which is undoubtedly the best ten minutes of DVD in existence. In addition, the ending of the movie is also quite a technical masterpiece as well. Be warned that the movie is three hours in length, so it will not appeal to the MI:2 crowd. One final note, the action scenes are a disappointment without a 5.1 speaker system. All in all though, I consider this movie as essential to a DVD library as other greats like the Matrix.

Summary: The movie thats worth every penny
Review: From watching the original movie LA Takedown from which Heat has been remade, it has not lost it's thrills and excitement a movie can bring. Heat offers viewers the chance to get underneath the characters and understand their thoughts and feelings.

Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro play their roles with such passion that they are able to bring to the screen a slik story of two completely opposite men, one a cop and another the master criminal. The movie is revolves around Pacino who plays the cop trying to capture the slik and itelligent criminal played by DrNiro. Micheal mann's vision and direction are superb throughout the movie keeping you hooked to the very end. The score gives it that extra special ambience.

Although the DVD does not offer any special features, the movie alone is worth every penny.
