Summary: MATRIX RELOADED
Review: I still like the original because it was original , cool stuff & cool action . I think KEANU REEVES are THE ONE . He was born to be THE ONE . GREAT ACTION .

For MATRIX RELOADED , cool CAR CHASE but I wonder why NEO look like CG especially when he is fighting with AGENT SMITH clones . Am I watching MATRIX RELOADED or I was playing ENTER THE MATRIX ?

Anyway is still good for the action scenes but weak for the story plot .

For the DVD , why there are no DOBLY DIGITAL EX ? Picture quality are excellent with good detail & color resolution .

Sound is aggresive in DOBLY 5.1 but seem to be too low level . I have to turn up the volume to feel the impact especially the dialogue scene which difficul to hear .

THANK YOU to WARNER BROS HOME VIDEO for changing their dvd packaging . KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK . LOOKING FORWARD FOR T3 packaging .

Summary: Movie Masterpiece
Review: The Matrix was one of the most original movies ever made. It breathed a fresh breath of air into movies and especially the sci-fi area of it.

The Matrix Reloaded picks up where The Matrix left us. Neo(Reeves) is now the one. He realizes he is different. The machines are drilling towards Zion and the people there are worried. Morpheus(Fishburne) takes Neo and Trinity(Moss) back into the Matrix to see if they can stop the machines all together.

There is more to the plot and story than that, it's just very complex and has to be seen to be understood. The story is just like the Matrix in that it is very original. It's an awesome script and everybody does well with there character.

Keanu Reeves deserves an Oscar for his work as Neo. He had done an awesome job playing the character. Neo is a very complex character that has many sides to him and Reeves has shown us the sides and emotions, and it can only get better with the next Matrix movie.

Laurence Fishburne once again continues to be the Obi-wan Kenobi for a new generation. He deserves an Oscar as well. He's such a great actor and Morpheus is a smooth character.

Hugo Weaving is back as Agent Smith in the movie. He does such a good job making you hate him. He has an important part in the film, and his fight with Neo when there are tons of him is cool. One of the best fights in movie history. There final showdown should be even better.

The special effects are one of the best reasons to see the Matrix Reloaded. The first Matrix movie brought us the most advancement in movies since T2 Judgement Day and Reloaded continues with some of the best effects ever seen. The CGI fights look real. Once again we have bullet time shots which really look coo. There is also a 15 minute car chase with two really cool bad guys. A must see.

Monica Bellucci also has an important part in the movie. The Italian model will be a big thing in the U.S. one day and this series is whats gonna make her huge here.

Overall the Matrix Reloaded is one of the best films of the year. It's a must see. The DVD is spectacular and a must for any collection. Don't miss out on the Matrix phenomenom.

Summary: Matrix In The Middle Runs Amok
Review: I, like almost everyone else on the planet, was really looking forward to the release of the second film in The Matrix trilogy. When the first film made its debut in 1999, it took the sci-fi/action genre to a whole new level. With its striking visual effects and a story that didn't dumb down moviegoers-it was a multifaceted adventure that could be enjoyed on so many different levels and it even damands multiple viewings

The Matrix Reloaded, in my opinion, didn't live up to the groundbreaking original. The sequel may have had a lot of eye candy, but it also missed the mark in some key areas...

Neo (Keanu Reeves), Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) are still leading the rebellion against the machines. The machines want to continue their assault on the sanctuary of Zion in order to enslave makind. In an effort to quell the resistance from taking hold and spreading, the ruthless Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving), has been duplicated. Neo and his team must also deal with a few trained assasins as well.

The sequel delves deeper into what is part of the real world and what is not. It takes everything that audiences thought they knew about the original film, and then tries to shake things up even further. Once again, the film, is cowritten and directed by Andy and Larry Wachowski. There's no doubt that these men have given the world a bold saga for the 21st century. But I also happen to think that Reloaded is missing a key ingredient, over the first film, and that is a center. In other words, because this is the 2nd part of a trilogy, the filmmakers felt they should convolute the story in order to have a bigger payoff in part 3. In my opinion, they didn't need to throw everthing but the kitchen sink into the film, they had me hooked already (and I will be there for the final chapter as well to see how it wraps up). The effects and fight sequences are, of course spectacular and there's plenty of wow to be had here. But a lot of the "wow" seemed disconnected from the plot this time 'round. I hope this doesn't mean that the saga's creator's have fallen into the same trap as the Star Wars prequels have (Although at least Reloaded is a better than those). Since I was disappointed the first time I saw the film in theaters, I almost couldn't wait for the DVD, to see if felt any different about it. Now that it's here, and I have seen it again, to my surprise--nothing has changed.

As promising as a 2 disc set may sound, I have a feeling that the extras as good they may be, were a mere set up for a better release down the road (A'la Lord Of The Rings). I think those in charge will give us better extras when Revolution sees the light of day. For now--Disc 2 starts off with a look behind the scenes of Reloaded and then looks at the worldwide phenomenom created by the trilogy. The highlight of the bonus material is a look at how they filmed the freeway chase. It went on a bit long in the film, but, it was still cool to see how they did it. There's also sections for the movie's marketing strategy, a peek at how the Matrix video game was put together, as well as a look at the popular Animatrix shorts, the MTV Movie Awards spoof, and web links. I was hoping for another great commentary, as was done for film number one, but as I say, I think that may be part of another release down the road. The extras included here, for the most part, feel like one big tease for something better.

I really hope some of the mess that is Reloaded will be worth it in the end. The Matrix Reloaded DVD gets a somewhat gaurded *** star rating

Review: Wow, I thought you couldn't get worse then the Hulk or Episode 2...this one takes the cake as "WORST MOVIE EVER" It so deserves to win a razzy award this year...total crap. If you like flushing money down the toilet then do that instead, because this movie has no redeming value. The other dorks who are in favor of it, are just that, dorks...folks who couldn't tell even if a good movie bit them in the butt.

Review: I loved it! Can't wait for Matrix Revolutions!!

Summary: enjoyed for philosophical amalgity
Review: the marrow of an intellectual playground!

There were just so many references to the Bible and Renaissance philosophical genesii. The way the Wachowskis wove the passions of views together is so creative, this movie warrants so many repeated views. My findings SO FAR after watching it twice...

Similarities to the Bible are so interesting to reveal - first off since Neo is given the choice to save the 6th version of Zion (or humanity as is implied) - it's interesting that Biblically, 6 is the number of mankind. The fight to know reason of existence is in it a truism compared to the a existence of causality (God's will > practical nihilism; Constant references in the movie to Reason > the Merovingian's short lived contribution of causality). Life is based on choice (Josh 24:15a). Locke lives on what he sees and we determine our fate; Morpheus knows that life is made up of what we cannot see, like molocules, breathe, the spiritual.(locke=huamnism; morpheus=Biblical concept of predestination). In the Bible, Zion is heaven.

It is almost a resounding harmony that underlies all characters (except Captain Locke) that a purpose or a reason is the stem of our existence ("former" Agent Smith plainly states this to Neo, the head councilman reveals this with Neo in the beginning as they watch the machinery, the keymaker references this whenever he talks). But the struggle to know our reason of existence is to understand our daily fight(the Oracle's talk with Neo). This parallels I Tim 6:12. In the end, Love conquers and defies everything (neo gives trinity life in the end) I Corinthians 13.

But the humanistic converse to the supremity of choice illustrated by the Merovingian - "reality is causality, CHOICE is an illusion given by those who have control of power"- think of ADAM AND EVE - who were to choose to eat or not eat of the tree of good and evil, a choice given by God, the control of power, BUT is affirmed by Morpheus's response of "choice is the beginning" - a sneaky pacification somewhat polar views - good job Wachowskis!

Sequences parallaled to the Matrix: both movies begin with Trinity, part 1 trinity saves neo in the end, part 2 neo saves trinity in the end. 3 agents then 3 agents now.
***in part 1 we suspect for a short-lived time that Neo is not the one until the very end. we are supposed to believe that Neo will save zion but Neo chooses to save/love Trinity instead of saving zion (!aaahh note that his 5 predacessors chose to save Zion, so now Zion will be dependent on Locke's plan of defending against the sentinels. To add to the sorrow Neo says we have to physically stop the sentinels and the Prophecy was a LIE. ***a few moments after that we see Neo actually stop the machines in reality (not in the matrix) thus the Wachowski's have given us the clue that Neo will be able to control the Matrix physically - outside of the programmed matrix. Thus he might actually be the savior of Zion (physically) and the almighty who releases the minds (in the matrix).

Difficulties understood: OLDEST programs of the matrix - the Merovingian (forget about him), the Architect and the Oracle (the Father and Mother of the Matrix). The Architect program exponentially programmed the Matrix, the Oracle program was designed to search all those living bodies for that 99.9999% that didn't buy into the world of the Matrix or "whose mind could not be contained by these boundaries of perfection" (Neo). She (the program) gives all the right questions to cause Neo to serch and meet the Architect. WHY DON'T OTHER PROGRAMS (like agents, twins, etc.)KNOW? Because of different levels of "control" as the Architect states. "Control" is also referenced ALL over the movie.
The architect reveals the matrix is designed so "the one" (the 99.999%) will choose to save humanity instead of some other circumstance. But here Neo chooses love instead of humanity a choice that usally "overwhelms...one's senses", stated by the architect. But hasn't been done by the previous "predacessors" (a term first revealed in the Merovingian fight scene! succeeded by his wife Percephone's references to her husband's body guards being from an older version of the Matrix!).

All in all, i have no job and i'm a grad student, i'm gonna go out right now, get some Burger King come back and watch this flick all over again.

GREATLY SUGGESTED!!!!!!

p.s. go to moviemistakes...[online] to see the mistakes in the movie! HAH!

Summary: Unplug the critics
Review: A pox on the critics who loved ponderous turkeys like Gosford Park and The Royal Tenenbaums and missed the point about this explosively over-the-top kaleidoscope of special effects and deeper intellectual content than they recognized. The fight sequences and the spectacular car chase (actual California commute footage, by the way) are state of the art, and the plot actually is not as simple-minded as the critics contend. For example, when the Oracle tells Neo that even the crows have an elaborate program code written to govern their actions, one is reminded of Biblical and literary references to no sparrow falling without God's notice. Although the underlying plot device of comatose human slavery powering the Matrix is awfully hard to buy on a literal level in the first movie, this second movie sucessfully raises questions about choice, free will, and predestination. Up for grabs are the cosmologies of the Bible, Darwin, and William Gibson. Admittedly, there is a certain garbled quality to the revelations offered at the end, but they hook you into the last installment, don't they? I suspect much of what we are told will probably be refuted in Matrix Revolutions, but that is part of the intellectual fun of the entire concept. It does some good for those of us who habituate a two-dimensional electronic environment to remember that the boundary between the real and the perceived is subject to survey.

Summary: incredible flick.......
Review: sorry to some of you above that could not have a real blast with this awesome film! it's incredible from start to finish! got my dvd yesterday and it really is a masterpiece-ok, it has it's flaws but overall, it is a truly remarkable motion picture! the highway scene alone will go down in motion picture history as one of the greatest action sequences ever filmed.

Summary: Matrix reloaded: much better than the original
Review: I think is amazing how this movie managed to survive the hype created by the first movie (The Matrix). It has some weak points, but i think it is much bigger and better than the first one in terms of action and plot.

The producers really took care of the technical details, like how Trinity uses a well known SSH1 bug to enter in a computer system.

In short, enjoy the movie and judge yourself if is good or not (ignore the geek trolls than seek religion on a action movie :)).
