Summary: HAS TARANTINO EVER MADE A BAD FILM?
Review: I loved it. Can't top Jackson man! The movie was a little hard to follow at times but the plot was very interesting. Fonda was very sexy in a twisted sort of way. Just go out and buy it quick. Not as good as pulp fiction but what is?

Summary: Quientin tarontino does it agian
Review: A slick, fast, action packed movie by quientin tarontino.it is the best film of 1998 and one of my favorite movies.evert actor in that movie was so good at portraying the charecters. It had a great story and very well written. Pam Grrier plays as a flight attenden for the worst mexican arline in the country. She has a slick plan of getting 500,000 dollars from Samuel L. Jackson, who is a gun dealer that has 500,000 coming in for him. Robert Forester is a bail bondsmen who helps Jackie get her money. Michel Keaton is a detective who is after Samuel L. Jackson. Brigett Fonda is an employe for Samuel L. Jackson who has a plan to steel some of Sams money. Robert Deniro is a stupid and not very bright man who has been released on parol, and was put into jail for robbing a bank, and is one of Samuel L. Jackson good friends. It is a

Summary: Jackie Brown - The Usual Tarantino or not!
Review: Jackie Brown may have a slower pace than previous Tarantino outings, but the sophisticated presentaion and time lines are still there in all there glory. This film is a definite must have for the Tarantino fan and also Elmore Leonard fans. If you liked Out of Sight this may weel be the film your looking for. Also try: Reservoir dogs, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, True Romance and definetly Out Of Sight. I personally loved this film.

Summary: Jackie Brown isn't typical Hollywood formula
Review: Some of the things I liked best about Jackie Brown, aside from a really good story, were the complexities of the characters.

Pam Grier did a great job portraying someone beaten down by life one time too many who decides to play by her own rules. Her character is intelligent, something the other people in her life don't seem to recognize. They pay a price for underestimating her.

I liked the way Tarantino successfully made the characters three-dimensional. There were things to like and dislike about everyone, even the bad guy.

The soundtrack for the film was also great. It gave a great feel to the movie, and each character seemed to have their own sort of theme music. The scene where everyone is driving separately to the money drop is a great example of this.

Rent the movie and buy the soundtrack.

Also, another great movie about a tough, intelligent lady is the original "Gloria" with Gena Rowlands.

Summary: Quentin was in it!!!
Review: Not Tarantino's finest, by far, but Tarantino's worst can stand up to most screen writers and directors any day. A fairly typical Tarantino movie, with a fairly typical Tarantino cast, with typical Tarantino dialogue. A good movie, but not his best. By the way, Tarantino's cameo in this movie is on an answering machine. Granted, it isn't Quentin in the flesh, but he still makes his presence known.

Summary: Another exceptional movie from QT
Review: Tarantino has the near impossible task of trying to top himself from Pulp Fiction. With Jackie Brown, he has proven how talented he is by taking someone elses material-Elmore Leonard & putting his trademark on it with snappy dialogue. Another stellar performance by Samuel Jackson, & it would have been nice to have had QT do a small cameo. Technically, he's in the movie, he's the voice message on Pam Grier's answering machine!

Summary: Great movie!
Review: This is one of my favorite crime movies. I really like that it showed the everyday, boring side of criminal life (the scenes where the criminals meet in beachfront apartments and off-hours bars). While Jackie Brown isn't as fast-paced as Pulp Fiction, it is much more intelligent in its subtlety.

Summary: Tarantino at his finest
Review: I thought this movie was excellent. Quentin Tarantino is brilliant. Sam Jackson, Pam Grier, and Robert Deniro were wonderful. It falls only a close second to Pulp Fiction, probably because Pulp Fiction came first. Jacke Brown has some pure Kodak moments, as well: I never thought I would see Bridget Fonda and Robert Deniro smoking marijuana together.

Summary: It's not Pulp Fiction, but nothing is
Review: Overall, I thought the film was very good, but it didn't blow your mind (del-fonics pun intended) like Pulp Fiction. Just remember that after PF came out, for two years, EVERY SINGLE movie that came out tried to be just like it. Jackie Brown didn't change cinema like PF did, but it's still entertaining. Samuel L. Jackson is unworldly as Ordell, and I thought Bridget Fonda was great too. If you love crime movies, you'll like Jackie, just bring some coffee, because it didn't have to be 2 1/2 hours long. Thumbs up.
