Summary: i love fellowship of the ring......
Review: To me, Fellowship of the Ring gave a start of the best trilogy movie series ever. And TTT came in with the most excited war scene I have ever seen (Apologize to lucas, but I still love star wars). Yet, from a viewer perspective not as a reader of LOTR books (never read them anyway), TTT makes me a little bit bored from the start until the battle scene. Plus, everything is falling apart, so the whole firs part of the movie just feels dark, no hope. That makes me down too.

Compare to Fellowship, TTT can only be a second rated action movie (the music not that great as Fellowship either!! big disappointment on that). I don't really care about how well the movie fits into Tolkien work since I didn't read the book. As a movie, TTT is just too much and too long with some unnecessary, kind of boring stuff. But the battle scene certainly makes me give it 5 stars (which means fellowship has 7 stars heehee). And I will wait for the special extended edition of TTT as i did for Fellowship, which come on Nov 18th. That one has 43 minutes of new scenes for crying out loud... Should make it two movies for each episode, so 6 movies total. Hell that way each one is still longer than many other movies...... :)

Summary: Action packed and fun
Review: Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is a must see even if you are not a fan of the books. This movie is so action packed and with the humor of Gimli the Dwarf its fun all the way. The war scenes are spectacular as well as the special effects. The way they made TreeBeard and Gollum are just unreal. You think you are watching real creatures not computer animation. The return of Gandalf as Gandalf the white is just fantastic. If yo like action-adventure with a little humor mixed in you will love this movie.

Summary: An incredible film, except of course if you're a "purist"
Review: I don't normally review many items but I do feel the need to take a moment to say how great the Two Towers was. It is a given fact that it did stray from the book at times, but as any film maker knows, when you make an adaption of a series you must make a few sacrifices in order to aid those who maybe have not read the series. I was happy despite the changes that were made. I think peter jackson did an incredible job adapting a very thick novel into and understandable and enjoyable series of films.

By the way, being a reader of Tolkien does not qualify you to make a movie.

Summary: Astounding!
Review: ...Those reviews are NOT TRUE. This movie really did amaze, and stunn, me while I watched it in theaters. It is even better than it's great prequel "The Fellowship of the Ring" having more action, adventure, drama, romance, and so much more. Even the visual effects, musical (score), and the plot [which moved on a lot quicker than "The Fellowship of the Ring"] were even better in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" than it's prequel. All I will now say about this movie is that it is ASTOUNDING!

Summary: Great Movie
Review: The movie The Two Towers is a great movie. I have read the books from: The Hobbit - The Return of the King. The Two Towers movie doesnt show everything in the book that is important that will be supposed to be coming up in the 3rd book, The Return of the King. But the movie is great, the 3rd one should be the best, Iam also starting to read Sauron Defeated. It is a great book.

Summary: Spectacular! And More Beautiful Than The First.
Review: I once thought that "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" was the best action/adventure movie ever. But it's sequel "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" proved me wrong. "The Two Towers" is even better than it's wonderful prequel "The Fellowship of the Ring". It had spectacular visual effects, a fantastic music (score), and a well done plot. In fact the plot moved on a lot quicker than it's prequel. "The Two Towers" also had more action, adventure, drama, and romance in it. It also had a lot more anticipation, excitement, and fun. But both "The Fellowship of the Ring" and "The Two Towers" will be nothing compared to the third, and last, installement of director Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" movie trilogy. "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" will be a HUGE PHENOMENON!

Summary: Fantastic sequel, phenomenal entertainment!
Review: ...

This movie is a triumph in adaptation from book to film. Most people realize that you simply cannot put the level of detail (Tolkien's is extensive--I, too, have read him and love him) in a movie and make it commercially viable. Understandably, some portions of the storyline have been altered to make the visual experience better and the plot clear enough for a non-reader to follow.

At the end of the movie, Gollum mentions bringing Sam and Frodo to "her" to be killed. He is referring to Shelob, the great spider-like monster. The portion of the story which includes her has been put in "The Return of the King," not eliminated.

The collection of talent assembled for this trilogy is amazing. All of the actors did excellent jobs and created a believable atmosphere of "Middle Earth." The actors and actresses were selected for their resemblance to the characters described in the book, so their looks were appropriate. There is still plenty of eye candy, though. I thought Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom and Karl Urban especially yummy. The ladies were classy and attractive. This cast is one of the best international groups assembled on one project.

The bottom line: This is definitely a movie worth buying. It's a keeper and will become a classic for sure. Enjoy!

Review: ... I thought the Two Towers was an excellent ADAPTATION of the book. Sure, there were elements that were left out or changed as a consequence of artistic license but to expect the movie to be absolutely faithful to the books--... ... Who cares whether Pippin used his mouth rather than his hands (or vice versa) to remove the Elven Broach? ... ...this is FICTION!

Gollum was spectacular!
Ian McKelleran was brilliant!
The battle for Helm's Deep was amazing!

Accurate to the book? Not exactly...A great ADAPTATION...definitely.

Summary: A Towering Acheivement In Movie Making
Review: "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is one of 2002's best movies! It has wonderful visual effects, a great plot, and a stupendous music (score). "The Two Towers" also has so much action and adventure that one would be insane not to like it. I give this movie a perfect, and wonderful, five out of five stars as my rating.

Summary: A great adaption, despite one person's blindness
Review: ...When you look at the history of hollywood and consider all major studio movies that were adapted from books, changes have always been made. Even with such movies as Gone With the Wind and The Grapes of Wrath ...Changes are sometimes necessary for the following reasons:

1. Budget constraints. This is already one of the most expensive movies ever made, you have to expect that the studio would like to earn some money from it.

2. Attention span of the average moviegoer. The movie is already quite lengthy for the average moviegoer, any longer and vivarin would be required with every ticket purchased. Today's children are not going to wait for intermissions (not spelled with an E).

3. An adaption is exactly as it sounds. The director adapts the movie using "his creative direction" as what would be best for the flow of the movie. Tolkkien did not have a movie in mind when he wrote these books.

This was one of the BEST movies of the 21st century to date (2000 - 2003) plain and simple, and the critics agree. If you are looking for an exact replica of the book, read the book. If you looking for a great movie with plenty of action and great story line, watch this movie!
