Summary: News from the Elephant Brigade...
Review: The Plantinum Edition DVD of this movie will be released in 2006! That means just 4 years of waiting and watching on VHS. ::grin:: I've rented THIS DVD version, from the library, however and find that it's VERY lacking in bonus features, but that's ok as I assume that the Platinum release will just be great and bursting with special things.

The Jungle Book is one of my favorites...I recommend it to everyone. There's the ever-lovable Baloo and the hilarious Kaa...the 100 foot python. And the fun-song soundtrack that will have you bee-bopping for about 80 minutes...or well after! It's too bad that Walt died just before this picture was completed.

Summary: The Jungle Book a Must See for every child
Review: As a child I saw this movie in a movie theater. When my daughter came along I could not wait to introduce it to her. She is now 5 and it is one of her very favorites. We watch this one as a Family a lot and it is a special delight to us. It is animated fun and my husband and I are still enthralled by the characters. When you see the people who did the voices and personalities of these characters you are really quiet impressed at the talent. And even a bit Thankful because they have brought so many years of delight to children and adults alike by bringing this story to life. It is a definite must have for every Family and do share it grab that bowl of popcorn and sodas and plant it in front of that television and watch your child light up and share the pure joy of the imagination gone fun. You will be delighted that you took the extra fun time too, to share. So will your child.

Summary: Most Popular DVD around the House
Review: With a 3 year old kid running around the house, this DVD is the most popular, and we watch it together with him minimum 5 times a day, at least the elephant march which is his favorite part.

Excellent picture and sound quality, I don't have to recommend you the story itself, because it has proven to be one of the best. I could go on and on about it, but I trust you to know a little bit about Kipling, just as I trust Disney to produce high quality anim. cartoons as they usually do.

The great thing about it is that we watch it in several languages - Spanish and English (Although French is available as well - unfortunately we don't know it.. yet). So what can I say.. This is a classic that should appear in every DVD collection especially if you have kids.

Summary: Fun jungle romp!!
Review: Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Books" are the basis for this fun, animated trip through the jungles of India. Mowgli, a human orphan, is reared by a pack of wolves (his parents are Akela and Raksha). When the wolf pack votes to send the "man cub" away, he is taken in by a friendly bear called Baloo (voice by Phil Silvers) and a pantheer named Bagheera (voice by Sebastian Cabot). Many adventures ensue, including a run-in with monkeys and their king (voice by Louis Prima) and a quartet of mop-top vultures, as Mowgli and his friends try to avoid Shere Khan, the tiger. The music in this film is particularly good, with such excellent Richard & Robert Sherman compositions as "Bear Necessities" and "I Want To Be Like You." Very small children might find this movie a bit frightening ... but others will love it.

Summary: Kiddy Glue!
Review: This is one of the best videos Disney has come out with. My children (2 and 3 yrs) will sit, and WATCH, and sing along with the admittedly catchy tunes. A great addition to our Disney collection!

Summary: A really excellent movie
Review: This is a really great movie. The singing is great, and I really love all of the animals and the dancing, and everything about it. This will always be one of my favorites.

Summary: This is the original, don't go for the others...
Review: What E.T. means to Spielberg, Jungle Book meant to Walt Disney! Sigh, too bad he was not around to see the results or the impact it had on all of us. It was his last dream project but did not see the finish of it. Though I love cartoons this remains my favorite. It stole my heart as a kid and still has me captured!

Summary: A masterpiece to set your life to!
Review: The Jungle book is what disney was once all about, FUN! it brings song and dance to a magical far off world with talking animals and kids who survive without TV and then brings all that flying into your living room. Its briliant every single time you see it. Perhaps the Best animated film known to man (close contenders being Alladin and Robin hood) This is a Must.

The Jungle book is a movie that everyone has seen some say it has political motivation, i laugh in there faces, this is a movie about a kid for kids, its full of life, and up to date whenever your watching it... isnt that the magic of disney?
