Summary: All Hail Scotland!
Review: This is my absolute favorite movie in the entire world! Basically, I am, and always will be, a Scot at heart. The music, the spectacular scenery, and the accents - they're so nostalgic that I get strange feelings every time I watch it. The accents especially... Braveheart has successfully taught me how to have an interesting Scottish accent to go along with my English one. I could probably just listen to Bravheart for hours. One thing I often don't hear people mention is the horses... some of the horses in the movie are absolutely gorgeous, especially Mel Gibson's horse! All in all, it's a masterpiece.

Summary: Outstanding and amazing
Review: This movie is one of the greatest epics ever created. Mel Gibson is absolutly one of the greatest actor/director/producers of all time and can easily match any major stars. His portral of William Wallace was amazing. The emotion showed was outstanding. In an earlier review someone gave the movie a 2 due to the pricesses lines? When she spoke that the reason she was helping him because of the way he looked at her, she fell in love. She never had love before so yes that is enough to give away a kingdoms worth of secrets. Now no more from me, everyone must see this movie many a time!

Summary: Awww, Crap, Am I limited to just 5 stars??
Review: Magic. This film is one of the few that has made me cheer, and has had the power to make me cry. It is timeless because the world is indeed a stage, and all of us are actors on it; unfortunately the actors haven't changed much. The history is impossible to depict accurately, as Scotland in the 1300's didn't have many historians.(To say nothing of honest ones) But screenwriter Wallace, makes use of mythical themes from Socrates and Christ, and creates a hero/martyr that would make an Athiest weep. Nothing is so sad as seeing a Brave man die for something truly worth dying for, than seeing the masses let him die because they are cowards and idiots. This is Gibson's Masterpiece.

Summary: A review by a 17 year old crazy half-Scot from Seattle
Review: This movie got me right to the point where I couldn't stop crying, and I couldn't breathe. I was in awe, and my patriotic Scottish side is begging me to go back to Scotland and steal it back from the English AGAIN. But most likely that won't happen. Unless I mix a little Joan of Arc with Robert the Bruce, and of course some of Sir William Wallace. Truly an inspiration and an epic - I've spent dozens of hours watching it. 'Scotland the Brave' is proven once again.

Summary: a historical masterpiece implanted in the depths of my mind.
Review: I thought this movie was by far the one of the very best movies ever to enter the cinema and video world. I loved it so much because it dealt with problems much different from today. The need for freedom was something I took for granted before I saw this film and it taught me to fight for what I believe is right, even though it doesn't involve war and stuff. Personal obstacles was what I derrived from it. Determination was the main ingredient here along with a little vengance. I recomend this to anyone who appreciates historical legends and myths that serve as a basis for a culture in different aspects. I agree too that this movie should have one every award imaginable at the academy awards.

Summary: Scotish history in all it's Celtic glory -
Review: What hasn't been said about this glorious film event? It has all the elements of the all-time great epic movies: great scenery, great story, great action, great music, great direction and great stars. Mel Gibson is, quite simply, one of the finest storytellers in the film industry today. Writer Randall Wallace (no relation to William Wallace) has the wonderful ability to tell a portion of the history of Scotland without making us feel small for not knowing about it ahead of time. Very few people DO know much Scotish history. Sure, some of the story was a little farfetched, and some of it was not quite true. Then again, some of the things William Wallace did just couldn't be shown on screen - they're too grossly gory for even the most callous of late 20th century viewers. The supporting cast was excellent, believable and altogether Celtic in their enjoyment of a good fight. With touches of humor, life in the war-camps, the trials of arrainged marriages in the Middle Ages and the foolish ambitions of egotistical polititions, we could almost feel that this wonderful movie was meant to be a documentary instead of the fabulous fictional story of a truly great man. Mel Gibson deserves all the accolades he has gotten for his glorious brave heart.

Summary: Honestly, one the best movies I've ever seen.
Review: I watch Braveheart at least one time a month. Mel Gibson is the greatest, I love to watch him in movies. He's also the only man I know that can wear a skirt and still be sexy. Love you Mel Peggy Rogers

Summary: Compelling Scottish Epic
Review: This is an emotionally stirring epic that lights the fire of pride in the belly of any Scot, or persons of Scottish blood. Finally the world over will realize what real men Scots are, and that kilts are not skirts, and bagpipes are worth listening to. Sadly, it took a hollywood rendition to make many realize it. Anyways, Mel Gibson proves there is more to him than Lethal Weapon. However, being a descendant of Robert the Bruce I was dissapointed in the inaccurate portrayal of the mighty leader. Upon a trip to Scotland I discovered he is just as reverred as William Wallace. For those who don't believe me, read King of Scots. This historically accurate book will introduce the reader to a man with just as much passion and raw courage as Mel Gibson's William Wallace. Believe me, he was not the "wimp" that Braveheart made him out to be. To make a movie about the true Robert the Bruce would have been even more provoking.

Summary: The greatest
Review: I believe this is the greatest movie ever made. The production easily equals GWTW, but slightly edges it out because of the rousing themes of true love, courage, self-sacrifice. This movie should have sweeped the oscars, but only won best picture and director because of the Hollywood community's intense hatred of conservative moral themes. The pathetic bias is revealed by the fact that this literary masterpiece was beaten for best original screenplay by "The Usual Suspects." Puhleeeze. Anybody see it? (didn't think so)
