Rating: Summary: Braveheart: A timless classic Review: Many a movie has wowed me. But, the one that impacted me the most is Braveheart. It combines great actors with action, romance and enough storyline to keep you watching until the end. We probably know most of the storyline. Scottish Rebel William Wallace leads a band of Scotsmen to freedom from England. Him being one of my ancestors, I was piqued by my curiousity and watched it. I instantly knew it would be a good movie. Special Note, the images are awesome and are stunning, with great characters. Buying it will be a great purchase and you won't regret it.

Rating: Summary: Is there any other movie..... Review: Greater than Braveheart? I have to admit I was a bit reluctant to watch this movie because all of the hype. I didn't see it until about 3 years after it was released. One bored Sunday night resulted in plopping myself down in front of the tube to finally see this flick. I quickly scolded myself for not watching it earlier! Braveheart is the ultimate epic of modern times and Mel Gibson is a genius!! Not only is the story of William Wallace, yes there is a bit of artistic liberty, captivating but the scenery/atmosphere absolutely MADE this movie. The vision of Mr. Gibson, John Toll and the music is simply astonishing. Everytime I watch it is like the first time. The movie left me in awe, as I'm sure it will do for most viewers. Yes, I do have other favorite movies but this is definitely in the Top 10.
Rating: Summary: THE MOST CHILLING MOVIE OF ALL TIME! Review: The Braveheart must be simply THE best movie I ever saw. It is very touching and heroic and there are no silent scenes. All are packed with action and betrayal, hop, love and fight for freedom. It shows what life was really like for Scots in the 13th century. It was very cruel and hard for Scots to live in! It portrays the Englishmen as the most ruthless people on Earth. Of course, that is not so now in 21st century, but in that time period it really was like that! The music of the movie is very beautiful as well - mix of Scottish pipes and chilling tones. The special effects and the gory sights of blood are completely effective!!! When I watched that movie for the first time, I felt like I was really among the Scots, in the middle of the battlefield, staring at the brutal fight. For anyone who has not seen Braveheart, there is only one thing to say: GO GET IN ON THE VHS!!
Rating: Summary: Mel Gibson's best film Review: This is an excellent movie. The story is intruiging, and the folk hero main character is very appealing. I am certain that history portrays Wallace as a villain, since it is the victors who write the history books. However, Braveheart will have you hoping that this vilian is triumphant. He's ten times the man Robin Hood is!
Rating: Summary: the best Review: This is a very good movie that i thought was a must see. Mel Gibson is my favorite actor because he plays well in action advetnure but plays particulary well in braveheart. IT is a movie of love, hate, war, peace, gives you action, romance, and history all in one. It has many good actors and actresses and some parts are filmed live in Scotland. This is a very good movie if you like all of the above.
Rating: Summary: It's just a movie!!!! Review: Funny, but I never realized it was Mel Gibson's and Hollywood's responsibility to teach me history. I thought I went to school for that. When I go to a movie on a Friday or Saturday night, I'm not plunking down my hard earned money for a history lesson. You want historical accuracy? Pick up a book (I read several on the topic) or watch the History Channel. You want a fun movie with great action, a little loving, and some good laughs, see Braveheart. And to the whiny English who don't like being portrayed as the bad guys, should big Bill have been fighting the Turks? Or the Chineese maybe? How about some evil Laplanders or some Sri Lankans with nasty dispositions? You guys warred with the Scots for centuries and eventually won out in the long run so what are your crying about? I guess they should have portrayed you guys as being nice and fuzzy to the Scots, but then that would have kind of defeated Wallace's whole purpose, and the movie itself. Would have been a pretty boring movie if the Scots and the English got along swimmingly, don't you think? It's the oldest formula in existence, the whole good against evil thing. Someone has to play the heavy, and in this case it was you old nasty English that got your butts whooped by the good guy. You want to be the good guys? Make your own movie. And by the way, I have family in Birmingham, UK that thought this movie was a hoot. Absolutely loved it. They however, have never been prone to whining.
Rating: Summary: 3 hours of BraveHeart Review: Usually 3 hours is too long for a movie but in this case it was fine. Fast paced and touching, this film is really one that most people should own. If you liked Rob Roy then you'll most certainly like Braveheart.
Rating: Summary: 5 Stars are not enough Review: Braveheart is one of the most beautiful movies I ever saw. And the soundtrack is one of the most breathtaking movie soundtracks I ever heard. Braveheart is a must-have in every collection. A hell of a job Mel.
