Summary: A classic for all time
Review: Words can hardly do justice to the effect that this film has had on so many people. Rather than repeat all of the plot elements that are probably familiar to most by now, suffice it to say that this film is a winner. James Cameron's combination of the involving fictitious storyline of Jack and Rose set against a flawless historical depiction of the real "Titanic" and groundbreaking special effects has no modern parallel. At first I had feared that this would be just another big-budget, soulless "event" movie like so many others. What really distinguishes this film from almost all others is its ability to make you care about the characters. There are so many scenes in this film that will haunt you and are hard to forget... the record-tying 11 Academy Awards this movie won are richly deserved -- this is the kind of movie that comes along only once every few decades! The widescreen version of this film is the only way to capture even a small portion of the magnificent experience of seeing it on the big screen.

Summary: Not that great.
Review: The majestic special effects scenes of the Titanic itself is the only thing that saves this movie. Otherwise this is a totally forgettable movie. The acting has some moments of inspiration, but the scene when they're in the water is pathetic. I didn't even feel cold - there was no communication of the actual event. I think the fact that teenage girls made most of the money for this movie says it all. It's a love story with no depth, and good-looking actors that didn't make a huge effort at acting. Go see it once at the theater if you have to, but don't buy this DVD.

Summary: Non Historic
Review: Titanic was probably the worst movie I have ever seen. The acting was pitiful and so was the plot. The only relationship between this movie and what really happened is that the ship's name was Titanic and it sunk. If you want to watch somthing historically accurate than watch one of the documentaries. If your out to see a poor movie and a little bit of pitiful romance than go watch Titanic.

Summary: Good
Review: The first time I saw this film I thought that it was the best film ever made and I also thought I would never stop crying over poor Leo. The day it came out on video I rushed out to buy it but I have to say that after watching it once I had enough of it. The acting was good but the film is too drawn out. The same song is played thruoghout the whole movie which is good the first time you see it but it gets annoying after a while. I'm not putting the film down because it is a classic and one which every household should have but the hype was gone after the second time I saw it. Yes, one of the saddest films ever made but way too drawn out.

Summary: alright
Review: The first half of this movie is really boring and unoriginal. The second half is interesting only because of the great special effects and they were only interesting in the movie theatre.additional note:The theme song for Titanic is really annoying, Celine Dion cant sing.

Summary: A great movie
Review: In general, I think that Titanic is a really great movie. It's about as historically acurate as James Cameron could make it. The plot is entertaining, though unrealistic at times. But honestly, other than history buffs, who would want a movie based on history alone? Watch the Discovery channel, and don't go looking for anything other than entertainment when watching a movie. Remember... movies are NOT real life. Nobody would watch them if they were. And another thing. Even though many teenagers went to the movie to see Leonardo DiCaprio, we can't forget how huge the movie actually was. A cute actor and catchy song hardly make a picture Oscar-worthy either. Critics and older people alike adored the movie, as so proved at the Oscars. And Leonardo DiCaprio had little to do with it. All of you who claim you've always hated the movie should try to remember when the movie first came out. Almost everybody loved it, and it's ridiculous to deny it just because the movie is over-hyped and relatively old. Just because you're all sick of the cast and plot doesn't make the movie any less worthy of the numerous Oscars it recieved. It was a great movie, and still is.

Summary: I This Movie Was Great.
Review: I Really Liked This Movie. The Acting Was Great. I Like The Part Where Jack Teaches Rose How To Fly. I also Liked Another Part Where Rose Spits In Cal's Face. Jack Draws A Picture Of Rose Naked. For All Of You People Who Rated This 1 Star, I Think You Really Liked The Movie. And It Deserve 11 Awards!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: long, overrated, big budget nightmare
Review: yes it's james cameron, and big budget but it's too long, and the story could be set anywhere, not just the doomed ship the Titanic. anyway, i was not thrilled but had to give it some stars just for the effects and not altogether horrible acting. after all, it had cathy bates.

Summary: Get real...
Review: I did enjoy the last half of Titanic.. that is to say, I laughed through most of it. The sad part is, it was meant to be serious. Please, people. A plot cliched beyond belief, contrived dialogue, and manufactured emotion don't make a good movie. The leads almost make the folks on MTV look grown up. The 'history' is ridiculous; this is a bunch of 90s teenagers set in 1912, not an accurate portrayal of the time at all. The computer effects were quite good, but nowhere near enough to make it watchable. Just go buy some teen magazines: it's the same thing, only a lot cheaper.

Summary: THE WORST FILM EVER
Review: What can I say. Slow boring, bad acting and 11 Oscars. I think we were fooled they must have meant raspries. Aviod
