Summary: Truly A Keeper
Review: La Femme Nikita is awesome. I could go on and on about the acting, the costuming, the music - all of which are beautiful and amazing- but it's the story- each story within each episode of La Femme Nikita that ensures that I will always love this series. I honestly hope that however can make La Femme Nikita DVDs happen will because it's a show that people wear out VHS tapes watching (w/more tapes=more money), it's a show that rewards paying attention to details- the kinds of details that the clearer picture and richer sound quality of a DVD would make possible to see. It would be a real treat to be able to have access to La Femme Nikita on DVD- it's truly a top quality series- let's hope that counts for something.

Summary: Praying that they release this!
Review: I agree with what another reviewer said - this show truly has no equal. I am a huge fan of the show and have recorded quite a few of the episodes on VHS, but by no means have them all and now USA is no longer running the show at all. I miss it.

I REALLY hope they decide to release ALL the seasons onto DVD because I would definately buy them all. And I don't even own a DVD player! =) (I'm sure someone else would let me use theirs.)

Summary: A true treasure in a sea of wannabes
Review: Just one episode and I was hooked. Never have I experienced a show that can take you for a ride and all you can do is wish for more. A show that is not compelled to "spoon feed" its audience, instead allows it to think for itself. And a wonderful cast that includes Peta Wilson (Nikita) and Roy Dupuis (Michael). Anyone who is not familiar with Roy Dupuis' work will be surprised by how much he can say without ever opening his mouth. My most favorite TV series ever!!! LFN DVDs in season boxed sets, PLEASE!!!! LFN may have ended in 2001 but let it remain with us forever.
Do I watch TV now? Very little. The "wannabes" available on U.S. major network TV do nothing for me. Why waste my time?!

Summary: A show that does not have an equal!
Review: In 1997 USA Network caught lightening in a bottle when they started a show based on a popular french movie "Nikita". They could not have chose a better cast either, Peta Wilson played the innocent and free spirited Nikita with such freshness and likeability that you couldn't help but always be on her side.

Roy Dupuis was cast as her mentor, trainor, protector and soon to be lover Michael. From the very beginning you could tell he was going to steal the show - and he did. Dupuis did an excellent job of always keeping you guessing about Michael's true motives.

Eugene Robert Glazer, Alberta Watson, Don Franks, and Matthew Ferguson as the truly amazing supporting cast. They made you believe Section One was real - and did a damn fine job of it.

This show was so complex, you would think you had everything figured out, then the tables would turn faster than the blink of an eye and you were way off. It kept your attention until the very last second, and always made you want more.

This is a series that we NEED on dvd. Warner Brothers take notice. This is what the fans want - whole box sets of every season with extras: outtakes, deleted scenes, etc..

Please don't make us wait forever... we're standing here with our money in hand - take it please!

Summary: Absolutely the Best Drama on Television
Review: The fans have been clamoring for DVD's of La Femme Nikita since the show was still in production. It's an excellent idea whose time has come. We need boxed sets per season including the truncated Season 5. Personally, I would scoop them up all together in one purchase.

For the unitiated, the show is an hour long spy thriller drama that has been copied (Alias, for one) but never duplicated. It has a six member ensemble cast who, together, electrify the screen. The casting director caught lightening in a bottle.

The focus is Section One. A covert undercover anti-terrorist organization. They go into the World and take out the terrorists before the badguys can strike. The hook? They have a very complicated authority structure but most of the Operatives are there against their wills. Their lives "outside" are erased by Section and they become, in essence, ghosts to the rest of the world. They are kept there through fear and intimidation. If you're lucky (or clever) enough to survive your Missions....You live. Step out of line? Screw up? Get cancelled. D-e-a-d.

Section One is led by Operations. Former Viet Nam POW. A man who understands that sometimes the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Morale is maintained and Missions profiled by Madeline; Operations' second in command and former lover. Michael is Operations' finest Operative and Heir Apparent. He has trained thousands of others to become the lethal killing machine he is...but no one is as good. Birkoff is the kid computer genius who keeps the systems running on oreos and milk...with a dash of knowing where all the skeletons are hidden. Walter is the "Q" (Bond) of Section. He's the corporate knowledge and is the oldest. Not necessarily the wisest.

Enter Nikita. Young. Idealistic. Brought in for Section's "right reasons" but for all of her "wrong ones." Her personal goal throughout the run is to get out of Section--Alive. Only one little problem arises...she falls in love with Michael.

With these six people, a host of amazing writers/directors, and stunning music/costume people...each week we were treated to moral debates, murder, assassination, treachery, twists, spins, simply unsolvable personal dilemmas, and True Love...you know, all that scary stuff.

Each episode stands alone but also maintained a sense of continuity from Season to Season. You couldn't help but invite these people into your home each Sunday night as though they were family.

Stylish and very European, the series has a real panache that no other show has been able to match.

I highly recommend the series and would buy the DVD's in a hot second.

Summary: Powerful, thought-provoking, and daringly ahead of its time.
Review: This television show was a work of absolute genius. The acting was extraordinary, the action intense, the direction and production design dazzlingly modern and possessing stylishness so well-thought-out that it'll likely remain 'contemporary' for decades to come.

The first new twist on the concept of high-class espionage since its hayday in the sixties, it was also a radical shift in mainstream storytelling. Where X-Files merely picked up vibes of unrest that had been resonnating through society (particularly American, of course) for a decade or so and brought them into the mainstream, Nikita was miles ahead.

The internal politics of the Section were always of most interest to me, and the deeper and deeper implications of the storylines. It was suggested that modern society couldn't exist in the form we know without dark deeds being done behind the scenes, concepts of world control and total manipulation were explored -- without treating them in a needlessly grand way, instead always relating them to base humanity.

And that human aspect was the core of the show. Themes such as the validity of nobility, the necessity of duplicity and the pain of sacrificing ideals for long-term benefit have never been more plainly exposed.

It's quite clearly not an American program, which is all for the best as it didn't have such stringent censorship to worry about. What we're left with is the most stunning weekly action/suspense series ever, which mixed scintillating style with throbbing action and employed both to offer powerful, cerebral drama.

And we NEED it on DVD. Boxed sets. One per season. Let's GO.

Summary: The BEST series on TV, EVER!!!
Review: This was the best series ever on TV. The cast was a true mixture of some of the best actors, in any medium. Not only was the acting first rate, but the writng and direction was also top notch. The combination gave us a series that drew you in and made you really care about the characters and understand the world that they were forced to live in.
If you haven't seen it yet, it's truly worth the investment for the DVDs. And for those of us who followed the show, it's my hope that we finally have a chance to get the DVD collection we've been calling for ever since our favorite shows' untimely demise!

Fast paced action with enough sexual tension between the two leads, Roy Dupuis and Peta Wilson to set your heart to pounding and palms to sweating while you are glued to the edge of your seat!

Section One is a dark and dismal place that is both prison and home for it's inhabitants...it is a second chance for those convicted of heinous crimes to make amends.

Truth is a rare commodity in this hellhole where lies and betrayal abound. Who can be trusted and who is really a friend? Friendships are precious and few.

Operations and Madeline are the power hungry duo who run Section One with iron fists and cold hearts. Loveable, young-at-heart, hippie Walter is the Weapons Specialist who becomes a surrogate father to Nikita. Sweet, geeky computer expert Birkhoff becomes the younger brother Nikita never had.Their affection for Nikita soon includes the feared and enigmatic Michael as they conspire to help these two outwit the powers that be.

Will Michael and Nikita survive another treacherous mission and one day be free to live a normal life together?

Ahhhhhhh... that is the $64,000.00 question and only die-hard LFN fans around the world know the answer!

I guarantee you will come to love this unforgettable cast of characters and become as addicted to this wonderful series as the rest of us LFN fans!
