Summary: Great movie for all "kids"
Review: This is a great movie in that everyone in my family enjoys it. My eight year old daughter likes the adventure and the romance, my wife the romance (she walks around calling me "farmboy" now) and me the gentle fun it pokes at adventure movies plus great sword fights and great quotes ("My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."). Oh yes, and there is added benefit of looking at Robin Wright and Cary Elwes for an hour and a half (depending on your gender and orientation). Not that I'm shallow or anything. The only warning might be that some of the scenes might be a little intense for younger viewers. My daughter has to fast forward through a couple of them.

It's a classic simply because this story has it all--drama, action, romance, and above all humor, and lots of it.You won't find slapstick goofiness in The Princess Bride, but if you're a fan of dry, satirical humor you'll love this film. I know at least half a dozen people who can recite lines from the movie--verbatim. That's only because it's just THAT good. And gentlemen, this movie is FAR from being a chick flick. Don't let the title or the fairy tale angle fool you. By the time you've finished watching The Princess Bride, you'll probably be greeting your friends saying, "Hello. My name is Enigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare...to die." If you've seen The Princess Bride before, you need to own it on video. Every time you see this movie again you'll catch something you missed the last time. If you haven't seen the film...where have you been?

Treat yourself to this wonderful movie about a new kind of fairytale romance. Buttercup lost hope in ever seeing her true love again. One day, she was asked to marry out of obigation the conniving prince of the land. But...and there is always a but... a excellent humorous adventure.

Review: This movie is one of the finest ever made. The Princess Bride combines excellent actors, sublime dialog, and near perfect cinematography. I have bought this movie twice because I wore out my first copy. Many an evening has passed with my friends and I watching this movie reciting the lines with the characters. This movie is perfect for children of all ages. See this movie any chance you get. Remember, "Have fun storming the castle!"

Review: I know most of it by heart, and I love to prove it! This movie caught my heart 11 years ago when it was first released. Since then I have seen it a countless number of times. I had it on video tape years before I had a video! I would take the tape with me and watch it at my friends house. The lines in this movie are wonderful, and many of them are happily stuck in my mind forever ("hardly common knowledge", "if you want I can fly", "do you think this happens everyday?", "I'll use small words so you'll be sure to understand", and of course - "Hello! My name is...(aw, you know the rest)"). It's a wonderful movie, no other movie has become so attached to my very soul than this one. Check it out, you might just become an addict, too!

Review: I have just recently seen this movie for the first time....and I loved it so much i made my friend sit through it another couple hundred times! This is a fabulous movie. It's funny, witty, charming, and Cary Elwes is sooooo hot! This is one of the greatest movies ever made. Mandy Patinkin gives such a good porformace. And Andre the Giant seems so lovable in it! This movie is not to be missed!
