Summary: Fantastic in terms of story telling and acting
Review: I wont go into to much detail of who greating the acting was. It was, all the preforamnce were exaclently done. Dicaprio and Winslet were both excallent and real. But the story telling I think has not gotten all the attenion it deserves. The story telling to me was simply increable and worked exaclently when combined with the actors( captures their expression and movemoents brillantly) the story telling brings to mind Eisenstein. The films emtions are capture through brillant story telling that makes every thing seem vivd. Along with music and cinematography and the excellant leads the film is vivid haunting and lyrical.

Summary: Exquisite
Review: I think there is a certain subset of people who are determined to not like this movie.

Most of the people who don't like this movie are slightly pretentious and like all their movies to be edgy and hip. Titanic is not a hip film, and it has traditional values, and it is very big-budget. That, I think, is the cause of most of the one-star reviews--some people are bound and determined to label this movie before opening their minds to it.

With that said, I think this is one of the most powerful films I've seen in recent past. I'm currently on my fourth viewing and it still hasn't lost its effect on me. Sure, the dialogue isn't hip and cutting, but dialogue wasn't hip and cutting back in 1914. What this is is a story about morals, about class systems and humanity, more than just a Hollywood love story (which, in my mind, is really no more than a secondary theme). It's also beautifully filmed and has a great score.

I think this is probably the first and only big-budget, much-hyped film that I wasn't disappointed by in the theater. This is NOT Independence Day or Twister (thank God!) This has all the elements of a classic movie, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Why Are so Many Going "Overboard" on "Titanic?"
Review: It's a well-done movie, but it is based on a rather thin, predictable story line. Accordingly, it has actors with thin talent to do the job (especially DiCaprio -- a Clark Gable or Humphrey Bogart he is definitely NOT). And the stereotypical treatment ("nasty rich" versus "noble poor") of characters wore thin after only the first few lines aboard the big boat!

While Cameron became obsessive with authentic set details, boy did he ever overlook all available knowledge about the effects of hypothermia! All that dramatic sloshing around in icy water, and nary a tinge of blue on any character''s skin! Amazing!

Still, there's enough here to enjoy -- if you can call vicariously re-living the terror of the real Titanic victims "entertainment." It's a pity, all those oscars and within a few years, this will be remembered by most as that big-budget, whiz-bang special effects "glug...glug.." sinking ship movie.

Summary: A bad end
Review: Actually I liked thiz video but they wish they had not ended it with a bad death.

Summary: Horrible in every sense of the word
Review: I hate this movie, not because of some deep seeded hate for Leo whats his name. No i hate this movie for what it is. A POORLY written and acted movie. The characters are flat, the storyline is laughable. The plot makes me want to vomit. I've seen this movie twice, the only time i enjoyed it was the second when me and my friend made funny comments about each scene a la MST2K. This movie so overhyped and over rated it makes me sad to live in a time when a glorified piece of garbage can make so much money.

Summary: Wrong
Review: This movie is all wrong. It tries to get you to think,Poor Jack, well what the hell..What about the other 2,000 passengers, the best part:When Kate gets slugged, and abused by Billy Zane, also the touching part when Jack dies of Hypothermia.

Summary: For all who gave this movie one star
Review: ALL OF YOU WHO GAVE THIS ONE STAR, PLEASE READ THIS! I think that this is one of the GREATEST movies of all time. When I went to see this movie for the first time it wasn't because of Leonardo DiCaprio. In fact, I didn't even know he existed until after the movie. And even then, that wasn't the reason I loved it. Oh sure, he was cute and his character was convincing, but it was more the story that intrigued me. It isn't just a story of two doomed lovers, it's a story about life! Jack and Rose portray all the struggles you face with love, the triumph you finally reach, struggles even then, and death that has to come to everybody. Although that seemed to be the end, James Cameron decided to go even furthur in this film, which was what I liked, he displayed the heavenly reunion. WATCH IT! And if you hated it the first time watch it again! This time put aside all your hate for Leo, how disgusting a scene may be, or whatever grudge you have and concentrate on the story.

P.S. For all of you who are fussing over the nude scene, consider this. When was the last time you saw a movie with a good reason for a nude scene?

Summary: Excellent
Review: I have watched this movie about a dozen times and everytime I see something new. It's a great love story. There is so much power in this movie, so much saddness and love. This movie still leaves me sad and happy all in the same breath. It's the only movie that has stuck with me for weeks after I watch it. So much human loss. It's a great movie when it comes to facts and a great movie when it comes to love stories.

Summary: Thumbs up for effects, thumbs down for story.
Review: While Titanic really should be seen on the big screen to fully appreciate the truly extraordinary technical achievements, there is one very big advantage to viewing the film on video: one can fast forward through the first two hours of drivel, about as trite and stereotypical a love story as has ever been written. It was certainly no surprise that a "Best Screenplay" nomination was conspicuously absent from the picture's record-tying 14 Academy Award nominations. While Leonardo di Caprio is dynamic in the lead role, his performance does have one very fatal flaw: the film is set at the turn of the century, but everything about di Caprio's performace - his mannerisms, his diction, the rhythm of his speech - says "1990s guy". Winslet fares better, but Billy Zane's villain is laughable - I was surprised that he was able to refrain from twirling his mustache while delivering his lines. Which brings us to the technical aspects of the film, all of which - sets, costumes, lighting, cinemtaography, sound - were exceptional. And, of course, there is the ship sinking during the last hour, certainly a high point in special effects on film.

Summary: The movie is spectacular, like Di Caprio and Winslet
Review: I love this movie...I've seen it a thousand times! And if you haven't seen it yet...you are missing half of your whole life...and all I can say to those Titanic haters or Leo haters--you don't know what you're doing...get a grip! The movie circles around two souls on board the famous ship who forms a love affair and then it all goes down...it touched my deepest emotions, which usually does not happen to me. Leonardo Di Caprio has an oozing sex appeal and Kate Winslet is very talented like Leo. I am addicted to the movie!!!
